[CCs] Infiltrating the Space Station

"...That can't be good." He said, expecting the worst.

Needless to say, this robot had scanned through every possible source of entry, and the best course of action to take. Every route, every possibility, ever nook and cranny downloaded in its memory. But that blue hedgehog moved so much, went through plans, stopped everything his Master put in the way. But he could not fail his Master, no no. He couldn't have that. That would be against his programming.

And he was just a slave, after all. Like the rest of the robotic minions.

So the whirring continued, but never came to a true conclusion. As if guiding them, pushing them to continue. Waiting. Oh, the source moved, the source continued to move and echo through the walls, as if a rat was scurrying about just out of their reach. A very loud, very mechanical and very blue rat.

Sonic frowned, and dashed ahead. "Tails, Knuckles, find a different way. I'm gonna go straight ahead." He sprinted through a large room full of crushers which only he was fast enough to get through, and ended up at a high up place where the glass blocking the harsh outside of space from tearing him apart was in sight. "..." He looked around, continuing to investigate that whirring. What even WAS that? He sprinted through a large room of conveyor belts, and gravity flipped as he barely made it through. He had to get to the source of that whirring. It was all part of the fun, after all.

Alone? Oh yes, right where it wanted him. None of those other organic lifeforms to stop it. For dealing with others which was not its target was, well, more work that needed to be done. And this little blue robot only had red, piercing eyes for one being only. One annoying rascal of a hedgehog who was so slippery it had to wait for the right moment to strike.

Like right now.

The whirring increased, and it was pretty obvious it was coming from behind the blue blur. For from behind came a blue robot with a slight sheen in its metallic coating. Black mechanical eyes with circular, red glowing irises which could cause a slight shiver down anyone's organic flesh-covered spine. Metal, terrifyingly sharp claws which could rake through skin like butter, and a lithe, thin body frame just like Sonic to be just as fast and nimble.

No. Faster. It would not be bested.

The copycat lunged forward, fire exploding from its back as its rotors spun. Claws outstretched and aimed for the hedgehog's skull. This would be quick and easy, yes. It was better. Stronger. And Master Robotnik demanded it. Orders were orders. And such easy orders were always the best.

That whirring. Where was it coming from...
The hedgehog tapped his foot in impatience, looking around in various directions, all besides behind. He looked into the treadmill room, and frowned. It couldn't be the treadmills. ...In fact... it was getting louder and louder. So that meant it was getting closer. But he wasn't moving. There was something else around. An Eggman robot, maybe?

At the very last second the blue blur heard the sound of whirring from behind, spinning, and just narrowly avoiding the incoming lethal blow from the doppelganger. Talk about luck. He quickly slipped past the robot, and got into a combat pose, ready for anything. That was until he saw what it was. A copy. Of him. ...That gave him a bit of chills, throwing him off guard for a few vital seconds.

Flames flicked to nonexistence as the mechanical fiend stopped turned, dead eyes locked on the blue hedgehog, red shoe-like feet clanging against the steel floor - metal against metal. Claws still flexing, taking a step back. A slippery one indeed, this blue blur. Its speed more of a minor annoyance than a song of praise. But soon enough this robot's claws would rake across that windpipe and silence that irritating song once and for all.

Take a good look. This is all that you will see before blackness takes over you for the rest of eternity.

Metal Sonic ran forward once more, aiming a vertical swipe, hoping to take a good, deep gash from the lower regions, up past the stomach, and finish at the throat. A second later did it pull back its other arm while the first was in motion, and attempt to forcefully shove its claws forward to pierce the chest.

Narrowing his eyes a bit, he frowned. "So, Eggman finally decided I was so good looking he had to make a robot clon-AH!" He quickly leapt backwards to avoid the slash from one arm, and twisted around a bit to dodge the attempted skewer, getting his arm slightly cut in the process. Ow. Okay. Time to show this thing who's the real deal.

With a quick swing, the hedgehog went for a quick punch. Not his wisest move since he collided flesh and bone with solid metal. That was going to hurt for a while. He quickly ran to the other side of the corridor, before running up the side of the wall, to the ceiling, then leaping off the ceiling, and going into a ball and targeting the robot's head whilst it was hopefully in awe. Or programmed to just sit and wait to be hurt like the others were.

Raising its arms as the hedgehog ran, the doppelganger slammed them down, forcing its body to form into that of a ball - exactly like Sonic himself had done right at this very moment. Whirling on the spot like a deadly saw-blade, it launched itself upwards to collide with the blue blur.

Flesh against metal. The impact caused a clang to echo throughout the room. Neither side was going to give up as these two spinning balls of fury fought to not succumb to the other.

Sonic gave a slight yell in surprise and pain, the force being very hard. ...But it wasn't hard enough to cause him to uncurl. He fought back until they both touched solid ground, before revving up the spindash and launching more speed, before pulling a risky move.

He uncurled from the spindash, and using the momentum and speed he had, he went for an axe kick.

A punch may not have moved the metal menace, but that blow to its stomach sure did. No words were spoken, no yelps of pain and agony were heard, but as Metal Sonic was launched towards the roof from the pure power of the blue blur, a slight crack was visible on its yellow motor-like center piece. Slight mind you. Master Robotnik didn't create this robot with the intent to be destroyed by a simple kick.

But sometimes even the impossible is possible. Needless to say if this robot had any sort of emotion, it would not be happy. If it had any sort of sentience, it would lash out in rage. If it was able to speak, it would snarl. But alas this was not the case, as the doppelganger regained itself before its body slammed harsh against the ceiling of this area.

Or more, shot down like a very violent rocket so suddenly you'd have to blink to miss the sudden change in direction. Its sharp claws were still outstretched once more, each one waiting to puncture the skin and pierce the bone.

Sonic, being flat out on the ground for those few seconds as an aftermath, really wasn't expecting a sudden change in trajectory. He quickly made another twist to his body, enough to avoid a fatal blow once again, but not enough to avoid the claws completely. His arm was really badly cut. "Aagh!" He yelled out in pain. If only robots could feel pain... ooooh. He quickly jumped to his feet, and went for a spin kick which would knock Metal Sonic into the treadmill room.

The blow struck the robot on the side of its face, causing a sudden pause in its movements. Metal Sonic was launched from the force, body clanging against the steel floors, sliding into a room with many, many auto-moving pathways. It raised its head, only to realise it was moving, and yet its body was still.

Its backside erupted with both energy and flames as the robot forced itself upright, its red, metal feet no longer against the moving platforms. Rather, it hovered in the air.

And waited.

The blue blur took a moment of recovering to look at the wound. A little scratch, right?
With a quick turn of the head, his face suddenly went from casual, to a flare of determination. This robot was going down. Suddenly, his feet became nothing but an afterimage, as the floor set alight and the hedgehog rocketed into the treadmill room. Of course, there was something tricky about the room. It was made by Robotnik after all. The gravity reversed every time you jumped, and there were holes above and below, in which all led to the vastness of space. Yikes.

Sonic shook off the thought of plummeting into space without any breathing gear, and prepared to tear the look alike apart, part by part. "Hey, Metal!" That name sounded right. Metal Sonic. Heh heh. "Tell the Doc he should start making better traps, this one's just borin' me! I bet my buddy Tails would get through here without a single second thought!" He mocked, hoping Robotnik would actually hear that.

Yes, little hedgehog. Fight the superior mechanical menace in its own territory, fight where it knew this entire base off by nonexistent heart. It was a smart one indeed, even without the ability to truly think for itself, without the ability to speak and express and feel emotion. That was unnecessary. Meaningless and superficial. The only thing that mattered was an order to carry out, and this creation would gladly make sure that blue blur was no longer a blur, but stilled forever in the mass expanse of space.

Metal Sonic did not move, still hovering in the air, but simply waited for this irritating hyperactive rat to make the first move. This robot could wait forever, but could the hedgehog beat it at its own game? Doubtful.

The laughter died down quite abruptly. Well, staring into the ominous, non-present soul of a cold machine kind of does that to you. A whir sound went off as the conveyor belts became active, and the hedgehog side stepped consistently to avoid being thrown off the edge and into that unforgiving realm known as space.

Taking a glare directly into the piercing red eyes of the metal doppelganger, the blur shuddered slightly. Not visibly, but enough for him to feel shaken and off guard for a split second. The silence ensured, the sound of whirring only audible. That and the screaming of electrical currents roaring through the walls which surrounded the very room.

Without a second thought, without a single moment of thinking, quickly leaping upwards towards the robotic look alike, the hedgehog went in for an assault. Going for a quick, full force kick to the face of the robot, he curled into a ball, revving up the speed in mid air, charging the power of the attack in the blink of an eye, and preparing to strike down. Now of course the force would probably be enough to break one of Eggman's lesser creations in two. Metal was most likely going to be another story.

A brief moment came... Sonic, whilst mid way through making the move saw a sight of pure... nothingness. The robot had no soul. It wasn't a person. It was just one of that lunatic's creations sent to kill him. Destroy or be destroyed. It was evident at this moment.

Gazing. Their eyes met. Natural green against unforgiving brutal red. Surely enough it would send a shiver down someone's spine. But Sonic had seen it all before. It would be dusted off shortly.

"HYAH!" With a loud yell, the hedgehog brought his foot down, attempting to land a full scale blow on the robot.

It stopped hovering. What did that result in? Falling onto the treadmill. What counts as a fall? Landing from a jump, metal feet against the moving surface, and something in this room triggered the moment those mechanical limbs set foot upon that treadmill.

A flip of gravity.

And that sudden flip of the laws of nature caused both to fly upwards towards the moving platform above them, the sudden movement could cause anyone's stomach to churn up, to cause vomiting. You have to admit, the Doctor was a genius - treating laws like a plaything, flipping them at the trigger of a movement. It was mind-blowing and near impossible.

Yet let us not focus on that. Rather, focus on the two blue blurs flying towards the ceiling. The metal one, now flipped and above the 'original' blue blur who had hoped to strike a full-scale kick to Metal Sonic's skull, curled up and became less of a metal copy, and more of a raging blue buzz-saw, right above the famous hedgehog.

Or, more, below and falling upwards. Gravity was confusing.

And so the sudden switch proved to be a bit too much for the hedgehog to handle, a retch coming from him as he fell... upwards. Yeah. That works. He fell upwards to the ceiling, feeling very... weak as a result of that sudden turn of gravity. But he wasn't ready to go down just yet.

His eyes shot open just in time to notice the deadly buzzsaw coming right towards him, a sharp gasp escaping his mouth before he manoeuvred himself out of the way, the blades scraping his arm quite badly, drawing blood. "NCK!" The hedgehog cried out, instinctively grasping his arm as he impacted the ceiling, before glancing around for the doppleganger, grinding his teeth oh so irritatedly.

Yes, the hedgehog was starting to get ticked off with this faker, and was getting ready to try something... risky.
