Backstory:

A rival brawl involving Sonic & Shadow in the Mobian Desert involved each of them losing a quill due to the intense combat. Hours later, after the fight, a storm brews in that desert, and a bolt of lightning strikes the quills, infusing the DNA within and causing a genesis. Thus, Thunder the Hedgehog was born. He rose up from that spot, clueless as to where to go, or even how he came to be, so he just started walking. He wandered for hours, trying to think of what to do, until he came to an abandoned Eggman base. Something about it drew him there, so he walked towards it in hopes of finding shelter. Upon entering the base, he was drawn to the disabled computer. Somehow, he was able to give it power by just touching it. As he touched the wires, he found himself absorbing a lot of data & knowledge. He used it to restore the computer to workable function. Once he used the computer to gain more info, he began making other things. Eventually, he single-handedly restored the base to brand new, though it was no longer an Eggman base. It was the home of the Thunder the Hedgehog. It wasn't long before he decided to see more of the world, to discover who's on it, especially this Dr. Eggman that kept coming up, as well as his nemesis, Sonic the Hedgehog.
