Stryker would take out a dictaphone out of his pocket and play the last thing she said. "What if I'm not in the mood to talk, huh? As if anyone can come close to mimicking MY voice!!! Such Ridiculousness is not possible!"


"That's okay. I already got all the material Stella needs," he'd say smugly.

"WHAT!?!" He voice completely changed. She almost sounded like a different person. She sounded way more demonic. "WHAT KIND OF WITCHCRAFT ARE YOU PULLING?!! " The flames floating almost touched the ceiling

"When I press a button, this device records sounds of whatever's in the vicinity, including you and your lovely voice," Stryker would calmly explain. "And when I press this other button, the last thing I recorded gets played back. Definitely not witchcraft."

Devionus wasn't familiar with technology. "What kind of majik is in that thing?" She floated to it curious again.

"It's definitely not magic either, even thought it might appear that way," Stryker would say, handing her the device. "I'm not really an expert on these things so, you're gonna have to ask someone the details of how it works."

"There's no energy emitting from it. How could it possibly function?" Devionus shook it hard.

"It runs on batteries, which contain an electric charge. Think thunderbolts and lightning," Stryker would try to explain as best as he could. "Everything carries an electrical charge, which is something I can easily demonstrate."

The wolf would then steal a balloon from Stella's pocket and start blowing it.

"Lighting trapped in a box? That still doesn't explain how it takes people's voices of the past." She looked at the balloon

When he was done, he approached her and had the balloon touch her head, making her hair stand up. "Balloon has a positive charge, your hair has a negative one. Oppposites attract," he'd tell her. "I can't really explain the voices thing, tho. It just works."

"Balloons have light energy? I didn't know they could affected dark forces..." Devionus backed away from the balloon.

Stella was finished with the sketch, looking up from her sketchbook to get a few more glances at Devionus.

"Progress?" Stryker would ask.

"Steady as it goes! Got cash?" She'd would ask, to which Stryker would scratch the back of his head. That sly cat caught him completelly off guard.

"Money?" He'd raise an eyebrow. "You owe me for getting you out of that failed personal vendetta of yours."

The cat would stop all she was doing. The cheery, peppy attitude was gone and replaced with something cold, yet suave.

"Is that so? If you expect me to offer my services and possibly risk death for someone I couldn't give two damns about, you're sorely mistaken, darling."

"guess the people on your team don't help without Green in their pockets. Is greed is something that exists in this world too?" Devionus told looking at lillith. Lillith was looking back. They were both giving each other interesting looks.

"Greed?" Stella objected. "I'm merely asking for a fair pay for my services. None of you even remotely interest me to warrant a discount or a deed done out of good will."

As she spoke, her voice was gradually shifting into Devionus' once again.

Then, she'd transform into Devionus, with some alterations, as the drawing wasn't finished yet.

Namely, her eyes weren't coloured in and the drawing took a few liberties with the source material by making the disguise more attractive.

Devionus looked suprised before looking completely pleased. "Oooo~~ it's like looking in a mirror to see a better me." Devionus was taking a good look. Lillith looked at the clone and sighed. "I don't know. Too much chest fat can hinder more than help"

The disguised Stella would show Lillith a rude gesture. Then, she'd turn back to Devionus, who had complimented her.

"I can, of course, scale some of the aspects back, if you think they're a bit over the top," she'd say. "I pretty much just drew a girl I'd date and made her resemble you."

Lillith hissed. "You want to go imposter?" Lillith glared as well. Devionus just smiled more. "Well you did a good job. I wouldn't change a thing."

"I sure hope the disguise is gonna be effective," Stella would mumble. "How good does he know you? Would he notice if something was off?"

"I don't know. There wasn't anything off before for me to get an idea if he knows if something is off.."

Stella would scratch the back of her head. "Let me ask this a tad differently - would he kill you at first glance a few yards away or would he come closer to confirm that it's really you?"

"Hmm... knowing what I did... He'd probably come closer so he can kill me..or turn me into some sort of slave..heh doesn't sound that bad.." Devionus replied

"Personally, when things like that are involved, I like being the one holding the reins," She'd go on, but Stryker's stern look and crossed arms made her focus. "Which is more likely?"

"Probably the slave thing. There is so much you can do with a soul like mine. Though maybe that depends one what the other me has done. If it's nothing crazy than we shoishbe fine."

Again, just the very concept of her being the slave and not the other way around sent chills down her spine.

This would likely be the last mission she'd do for them. They've been pretty consistent with ramping up the difficulty and crazy factor and this latest ordeal was nudging the line between 'worth doing' and 'not worth doing' a bit too much.

"She'd probably try fighting her way out before getting subdued," Maggie would proclaim. "She's not a fighter, but she ain't no pushover."

"you sure? If my dimension's Voltraire is a complete push over and im not, than your Liela Should be a pushover." Devionus said looking at Maggie. Lillith walked closer to devionus. "Well...she used to be a very big pushover...back when volt was hanging for the first time."

"Let's worry about the other Liela until after we subdue this guy," Stella would affirm. "Now, what else am I supposed to do, other than act as a bait?"
