June Event Week 1

Ah yes, spring was going to come to a close this month to make place for the warm summer to take it's place. And honestly, with how warm and sunny it was, one would think it already was summer. Mostly with those flawless empty skies, blue as far as the eye could see. Maybe once in a while you would see the smallest flimsiest excuse for a cloud. They might as well not be there at all. Heat wise, it might be unbearable if not for just that right breeze to cool one down. Might be a tad traitorous if it comes to getting sunburned though.

But regardless to celebrate this change of seasons, it was decided a small festival was to be held. Mostly Everything had just been set up in the town square, stalls all about with foods made both by professionals as well as just people wanting to share their baking creations, same would go for wares. People selling their own made things from cloths, furniture to jewelry.

Smack dap in the middle of all stalls was a small stage where music was being played, just to keep the quiet at bay and lighten the mood to keep it nice and cheery as music tends to do.

At the edges of the whole grounds were the activities that were set up. Simple, but effective. Most with simple prices ready for those who would want to join. The activities scattered about that were still in progress of setting up? An archery range, a small running track, a stall ready for a baking contest and a small table petting zoo set up.

Well now this was a surprise.

The festivities seemed to appear out of completely no where, at least to one person anyway...
An orange hedgehog wandered in to the festival, his yellow eyes widening is sheer childish glee as he gazed over the surroundings.

He walked forward, beginning to zoom in different directions, unable to decide where he wanted to go, there was so much to see and his easily impressed mind was beyond pleased. He looked around, hoping he could pick what to do first...

Amber has been oddly drawn to festivals these days. With large crowds, small crowds, crammed with stalls or simple set ups. Why? She wasn't even very sure why. At first, it was out of curiosity. She thought she'd hate it right away. But instead, she found a sense of... Interest. Her ears were not hurting as much as they used to, and she fretted for a while that she was losing her hearing. But they still worked fine. That's what she told herself.

But now she stood beneath the clear summer sky and gazed upon another festival taking place. Live music was playing this time. She shakily pulls out two ear plugs and stuffs them in her overly sensitive ears. And again, without fear, the persimmon wolf strides forward, rather curious of all the food being set up.

Festivals were something that Adrian had a huge fondness for. And for good reason. Adrian had walked towards festival that was taking place at this moment and couldn't help but feel a bit of joy jumping around inside. With summer coming around, the skies becoming more blue than ever, the white hedgehog couldn't resist becoming a bit more gleeful inside, so much so that you could say that he almost felt like a little kid again.

As he began walking through the festival through the festival, Adrian had looked around to see the stalls that were already set up. Archery, running track, baking contest, petting zoo, and to top it all off, live music is being played as well? He already felt that this was gonna be a good day.

"This was gonna be a good day indeed."

Quite the odd sight was far beyond the fact that there was a festival. If anything, one of the most odd things was one of the members actually present. A very shiny, and red coloured robot with a single, cyclops-like visor, a small line of red going across it for the synthesised eye.

Down the robot's back was a cape of sorts, and needless to say, it looked very well equipped, a large cannon of sorts being in place of the right arm, the left being normal with extremely sharp claws. However for the first time in... well, ever, for when the robot was sighted, it merely observed. It was interested to see exactly what kind of things could come from such a celebration.

A festival.

For what, exactly? For another day of actually managing to NOT completely destroy eachother? The robot found it all extremely... pointless. But it kept watching... quietly. Observant. There were no intentions of starting any chaos. At least not yet.

The bot stood out pretty sorely against the crowd due to the strong colour and the fact that it was ominous as anything in general. Those that were familiar with the robot would only know it by one name.

Madness.

Among the colorful crowd came another strange one, descending from his flight and placing his two feet on the ground the fox's tails slowed down to a stop and flopped down onto the ground. Tails stepped forward, observing the mass of colorful stalls around the festival. His tails waved behind him with his every motion, and continued their own motion even as he stopped. He walked through the crowds and absorbed the friendly atmosphere as he went. 

On a nice day like this, usually he would be out taking his plane for a spin, or perhaps hanging out with Sonic. He hadn't seen his bro in a bit though, and he figured it that a change of pace might be nice. Festivals were always fun, especially in weather like this. There was so much to do and see, he wasn't exactly sure where to start!

One quick cheetah had been jogging around the track for a few minutes already, clearly excited for this festival of the oncoming summer (even wearing his favorite outfit! orange tee, tan khaki shorts, and his white sneakers.) Of course, he would have showed off his speed if no one was around, but today didn't fit that scenario, so he took it easy and kept his acceleration pretty low, letting others pass by if they wanted.

And slowly the people started to gather. Small groups, people alone, just spectators, people to set up their own wares. It all was there. Even children happily dancing and playing along around the small stage where the music played in the background. If anything the atmosphere was lighthearted and had that sense of just an honest joy and happiness. Quite a nice contrast against all the drama and danger that normally plagued the area. No, today it was a day for fun and not any thing bad. Even if Madness stood out like a sore thumb infested with something nasty.

The first food stalls that stood large and proud ranged from simple fruit based things to baked goods to the more 'exotic' snacks so to speak. Such as takoyaki. Hell, even deep friend butter seemed to be a thing, no matter how nasty that sounded, it was there, just as deep fried oreos.

Around the track a few people had started to gather to watch, as well as a few volenteers to give it a last good sweep to get it nice and clean. "Mind getting off the track for a little? We want to set it up for a contest soon!" They called out to the cheetah.

Punk wasted absolutely NO time what so ever, in rushing towards the newly set up food stalls, he rushed over, practically throwing his money to the vendors aimlessly and speaking so fast that his orders were almost incomprehensible.

He soon built up a big pile of the exotic foods in his arms, he didn't care what it was he just began shovelling it into his mouth, lord knows how he didn't choke...and he just kept going back for more!

The robot, Madness, simply stepped forward through the festival area, looking left and right, that deadly visor sharply scanning over various people. For once he hadn't sprung into attacking. What exactly he wanted was uncertain.

However, he halted in front of a food stall, taking note of the orange hedgehog that he vaguely recognized, systems going off on full alert suddenly as Punk had stopped his schemes in the past, though not attacking him full on out of nowhere. Not even a surprise attack. Instead, he merely glanced at the vendor, before looking amongst the other people present.

"What is this so-called festival about?"

The robot simply questioned, remaining completely still; idle and contemplating it's next actions. It seemed to have a male voice module, speaking with surprisingly a lot of tone to it for a robot (as in NOT monotonous), so it was probably a better idea to say 'he'.

"For once you mobian fools aren't destroying yourselves. This is quite a change, especially in this specific area." He droned, flexing his left claw gently with a robotic whir in a very gentle, yet fast rhythm. "You could say I'm curious about what this... change is about."

The day was calm, yet the visitors were bustling. 

It is never the day's fault, she figured, if it were too hot or cold. It is always the mobians and humans that make it into less than perfect. Silence came with observation. And what she observed is that nature is balanced, and they were the extra weight that ruthlessly tears the equilibrium apart. Bottom line, she was not a people person. But she'd rather not interfere.

So the best she could, Amber wove through the rows of people bunched together before stalls and moving to and fro. Her eyes lift up an inch from the ground, and she notes the metallic shimmer of a robot by one of the many stalls. Talking to a familiar orange hedgehog she had encountered not an event ago. For a moment, she debated going over, talking maybe. But wasn't very sure if it was her place to. She turns her head slightly, and notes the... Fascinating array of foods on display.

But she'd still like a taste anyway.

This event was starting to become more populated by the second from his observation. He had began to wander around for a short moment, looking around and seeing all of the different stalls that were in place. To him, It reminded him of home. The many people, the stalls, the overall aura of happiness around here, You could say that this caused him to feel a bit homesick.

As he continued on, looking at stall after stall, his red eyes soon set its sights on the food stalls. With their intriguing glare towards all of the exotic foods that were on display, this led Adrian to develop a taste or rather, a craving for some. As he made his way over the the food stalls, the white hedgehog had noticed a few figures that stood out, referring to an orange hedgehog, a metallic robot, and a wolf. He had finally made it to the food stall and had looked around to see what exotic foods they had to offer.

You know that sound, that ear splitting sound when a microphone turns on and gives this high pitched noise? Well that was the noise that rang along the grounds, causing even the musicians to cringe and pause in their play of music. Some of the more sensitive of hearing quite clearly crunched over slightly with their hands on their head to black out that gosh darn sound.

It did last a few seconds before a booming voice followed the tone up. A clear male voice, that typical announcer kind of voice, gosh like the man was born for this. His words quick to break any kind of silence. "In just a few minutes the track race will begin! So those interested, it's adviced to start heading there slowly." A short pause in their speech before they continued. "If there are people who still would like to join, please come to the track as well and to the man with the yellow sash over his shoulder. He'll give you a number and point you to your place!" Another short pause. "That was all for now, please enjoy yourself!"

Quite abruptly that microphone static got cut off to leave silence for a few seconds, just before the musicians picked up their music again and all continued just as before the announcement, besides those that did trickle towards the tracks to either watch or last minute sign up.

Once told to leave the track, Zetski politely obeyed the request, and briskly left that area and waited, watching the other prepare the track for any events. It didn't seem like a long time before the announcer of the festival had, well, announced, that the track was being opened up again, this time for an actual event. Zetski shrugged the matter of time off, and went back to the track, this time to actually sign up for the event.

Quickly placing his hands over his big ears as the microphone screeched through the fair, Tails shuddered at the loud and uncomfortable sound. He took his hands off soon after, perking his ears back up to hear the coming announcement. A track race certainly sounded interesting, it seemed like things were starting to pick up. He revved his tails up and took off into the sky, looking around from above then flying towards the track as he found it in the distance. 

Once he arrived at the site of the event, he landed quickly and observed the scene. It looked like it was going to be fun! He wondered if he should sign up, however, a run (or, in his case, flight) in the summer was always nice but speed wasn't his strong suit. He looked back at the two tails swaying in back of him. Without the use of those, he wouldn't be nearly as fast as most of the other racers. He stood by and decided that he would just watch the event instead, happy to cheer on the racers.

"Twfack face?" Punk mumbled, food still in his mouth and his eyes wide as can be. He changed his direction so fast you would almost see tyre marks as he bolted to the designated area, towards this man in a yellow sash, luckily he had swallowed his food by that time, the rude little thing.

"I would like to enter the track race please!" He spouted at an incomprehensible speed as excitement beamed from his eyes and motions.

Madness could only stand there. He was unfazed by the sound, though it did take over a lot of his hearing for a splitsecond. With a glance, he looked over to the source of the sound, arms remaining folded, before still awaiting a response from the orange hedgehog-

Only to get none.

"...Mobians." The red robot shook it's head, the intention behind it still... very much unclear.
