April Event Week 2

The pilot didn't know he was causing this, and thus, the chaos spreading further was only the beginning of the threats. Now all these creatures were lighting up as significant threats... The harrier seemed to almost back up as it hovered... The pilot now in view... He began flicking switches as the vehicle's main battery began training on all those who were afflicted...

At this point, who cared about anyone else- Twilight just wanted his wings back. Twilight began to take his hands away from his head, he was still freaked out but taking a quick look around would let anyone know that this situation was only going to get worse and worse. Since he had already been affected by the magic, would it continue to affect them and make things worse? Would the magic wear off if they left the area? Twilight looked at the slash in the center of this horrid infestation. The secret to fixing everything, did it lie in there?

What would happen if anyone touched that? Twilight wasn't sure he wanted to find out. He looked at the slash from afar, but waited for someone else to make a move first. He didn't want to risk.. losing anything else.

The screams spread around, and Amber didn't really want to know what was happening to everyone else. Were they becoming deformed like the bugs? Or just changing color like her? After several hard seconds of staring into her own hands, she began to realize that maybe her fur was a new asset. But not at the moment. Never did she think she would see the day that that ridiculous cloak would come in handy... She pulled the white fabric from her belt (it'd been micro-folded into a special compartment), and spread it open.

The cloak was white with maroon accents and nearly reached her feet. It had a hood and a rather feminine cut to it, as it hugged her waist upon being put on but remained loose around the sleeves, and had a coattail to it. Pulling the hood over her head, the assassin sighed in relief at the sudden concealment. It just brought a sense of security to her. She wasn't quite sure why.

Her eyes drifted to Twilight curiously, seeing how he was quite intelligent and probably knew the answer already, and noticed him staring at the slash. Ah, the thing that started everything. Amber didn't really have anything else to lose, and if she did then she probably wouldn't care either. The assassin drew closer to the original area the rainbow slash was located, careful of anything else changing, and crouched right before its rim.

And using one of her daggers, she probbed it.

It all happened so fast that both Echo and Zetski barely had any time to react to the fact that they were even merging together. It felt like one's insides were squishing with the others, limbs and organs, and it just felt so... odd. Looking at.. it's.. new body, the being looked around at itself, obviously in shock, and didn't dare utter a word, possibly in fear that their voice had merged or at least changed. It's expression just said it all: fear and surprise. It then looked around at everyone who had also been changed. What kind of april fools prank was this?!

Boubka started to get her logical thinking back. First things first. "Guys. Are you okay?" You never know if someone is having terrible pains right now. "Echo...or Zetski...Everything alright? Because you don't really look like it." A harrier went by. Wait a second, where did Cream go? She looked up. "My gosh!" Boubka saw Cream changing in a 18 year old woman. And Cheese....oh my.

In the corner of her eye, she saw a pink spot moving to the rainbow slash....A knife. "WAIT A SEC! YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT WILL DO!" She tried to run at Amber, but it went slower than she thought. Boubka certainly wanted to get his old body back. He was sure of it that he would get it back though. Maybe just stepping out of this rainbow grass would make him normal? While Boubka drifted away, Amber already propped the slash in the sky.

Diablo had a second to compose himself as he watched his surroundings morph and twist into the demented rainbow setting. His fists untightened "No, no. This is unpure, imperfect! Wrong wrong wrong!!" He stamped down again, unable to control his temper as he fought forward towards the source of the rainbowness. "Just.. What is this?!" He cried out, avoiding the bugs to the best of his abilities before he stated towards the source. "This is ridiculous! Someone must stop this! Where are the authorities! Someone take responsibility!"

Suddenly, her dress got really, really small. Almost to the point of ripping apart. Why? A glance down.
Oh.
Oh it wasn't her dress that got small, she just got HUGE.
Another shriek from the distressed bunny girl! ..I mean, young adult! A glance at her Chao, still in her arms. The little thing yelped as well and fluttered out of Cream's arms to make a pirouette and make sure that the thing that just happened... DID happen.
It did. Oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Both the Chao and the girl were ready to bawl their eyes out right then and right there... but no! No, she had to stay strong, like her friends would! Cream grabbed what was left of her Chao and held it close to her chest - no playing with flowers or bugs! Teary-eyed, her vision that little bit blurry, the rabbit looked around, up and down, trying to find something that would stop the rainbow massacre. ..Except her own ears and significantly longer hair was constantly getting blown in her face. She whipped her fringe away and looked up, noticing the jet. The girl frowned deeply and began to flutter her ears, though getting up was harder now that she weighed a little more, and there was additional wind in her face. When she did eventually get to the jet's level, Cream did the most rude thing she ever considered doing in her life - she kicked the pilot cabin's windscreen and shouted an "Get out with this machine!", pointing out the park. Yeah he suuuurely could hear heeeeer.
I blame it all on hormones.

The machine didn't even respond, nor did the pilot, but the kick to the windscreen was responded with a few clicks of the machine's buttons, as the windscreen's targeting reticles locked onto Cream, as the jet backed up slightly... The gun trained on her... A recorded voice, obviously take from multiple sources, do the lack of consistent tone and different background, spoke out...

"Stay- -away from- -this- -fighter jet-."

It seemed as if he had made these ahead of time...

"You- -are- -a threat-."

Adrian had looked back to glance at the havoc that this rainbow monstrosity had wrought. "This is really bad...I really hope that nothing bad had happened to-" He paused as he had noticed himself getting a bit warmer that he originally was, and that he also felt a bit restrained by his clothing. As he looked around his body he had realize that he had a more prominent display of access fur and thus becoming a walking ball of fluff. 

His response...."Aww man.." He groaned in displeasure after he had let out a rather disappointing sigh.

"I can already tell that this is going to be annoying...oh well, I guess I'll just have to endure it for now. Now the better question is, how to stop whatever is responsible for this." He had thought to himself.

The colors of the grass, and now a chunk of the landscape seemed to be pulsing. Each pulse send a new wave of colors through all the bits of grass. Honestly, if it was not for all the chaos it's 'magic' effects were creating, it would be a really pretty sight to behold. Mostly since it kept spreading, the stones that made up the cobble paths turning into something closer to gem stones, reflecting colors like some cheesy rave.

The small flowers moving as the hue'd magic over took them fully, growing, leafs changing in shapes flowers were not supposed to have leaf shapes. And then pulsing that rainbow of colors through the petals. Though here the color change didn't happen like the rest, here the colors were slow, flowing into one another, almost hypnotic honestly.

The treeline was grasped as well now, showing clearly how quit and fast this rainbowed taint was spreading. The barks twisting and coiling around itself, leaving it too look more like a wooden spring with leafs attached to it. But that was on one side of the rainbow colors. The other side had reached the fence walls that separated the park from the rest of the city. The walls warping into ridiculous waves and shapes, keeping up with the pulsating rainbow colors. Honestly, it was getting more than a little out of hand with it's leaking onto the streets.

Now it seemed to only one to actively try and do anything against it was the beautiful pink wolf whom had used her daggers to stab into the source of this mess, the rainbow slash. The feeling it gave as she stabbed down? Like she was stabbing a knife into dirt. No special sensation or anything, just, dirt. It did not stop the rainbow or remove it. It did however seem to do something else. A sensation like there was something in the air, something heavy in the atmosphere building up rapidly.

Diablo looked down to the pink wolf stabbing at the slash on the ground. "Surely there is a way to stop this mess! Block it off! Bury it! Drop a weight on it! Something to end this maddness!" He said as his breathing became slower as the air became somehow infected by the rainbow plague as well. "The world may be covered soon enough!! Something must be done!" He cried out, viciously trying to cover up the slash on the ground with anything he could find, rocks, now-mutated-plants, anything he could get his hands on. "Where is the culprit of this! I must, no I demand!! To see who is responsible for this monstrosity!!" He yelled out as he was on his knees, his tail uncontrollably slapping around.

The cloak she now wore truly gave off the vibe of an assassin, something she tried hard not to show. But what choice did she have now? Amber really didn't want to blind anyone with her fur. Plus... There was an odd sense of comfort in it. Something that made her wish she'd put it on long before.

Maybe she would wear it more often now.

Her hood casted shadows down her face, all except her muzzle, but her amber eyes still glowed in contrast. It was not visible then, but her ears were pressed back against her head at the slash being so... Normal. Just dirt. Dirt! Her grip tightened around the dagger's handle, delicate yet violent at the same time. The heat spiked up higher than it was in response, and a will to maim the innocent grass formed in her head. 

All the chaos around her were drowned away, but crashed back in once Diablo started panicking and attempting to cover up the slash.

The pink wolf jumped back, away from him and everything. She wouldn't have been able to feel it, except the odd heaviness in each of her inhales. Everything was so odd. She didn't understand anything. Not one thing. Running a hand through her hair, Amber stared at her feet. Yes, her feet. Not the mass of oddly colored grass or deformed flowers and bugs.

Anything but that.

Twilight watched as the dagger stabbed into the ground, watched as Amber jumped back at Diablo's freaking out and watched as Diablo hurriedly tried to cover up the slash. As if that'd do anything. Twilight folded his arms, they'd never know unless they tried, but if it doesn't work then it would be a horrible waste of time. Giving it a few more seconds of thought, the Kitsune walked forward and put a hand out to stop Diablo, knocking the rocks and stuff now covering the slash out of the way.

Hesitantly, a dark aura surrounded him, colors of deep purple and black surrounding his figure. He held a hand out and gathered the dark energy at his palm before shooting it off at the rainbow slash at the ground. Perhaps when it collided with the slash, then something would happen.

Boubka sniffed the air. Something was....different. She felt a bit dizzy. The slash was definitely the main source of it all, but Boubka still had the feeling that you shouldn't mess around with that thing. Look what it did to them! "Guys....stop messing around with that thing! Maybe you're just making it-" Then the dirt and rocks went over the slash. "Godda-" and then the dark energy. "UGH..." 

Well. If this had no effect, it's probably safe to assume that only a certain kind of energy could stop it. Or just a thing...The sword? The sword is with the panther. Hopefully she returns quickly, so she could beat the hell out of her. It's because of her that this hoodie feels somewhat uncomfortable now!

It happened like a snap of wire.

Small. Insignificant. But the impact reverberated with a catastrophic vengeance. From just looking at her toes, Amber looked up to see the odd 'magic' shrink back into its original slash, turning everything BUT them back to normal. A little disappointment on her part, but, eh.

Yet apparently, the impact was not over yet. She could hear the small shifts of dirt and pebble, the low rumble of colliding plateaus and the wolf knew something was emerging from said crack. Her autumn eyes darted to the kitsune still standing atop it, and the temperature dropped in unison of her horror. She didn't know what had pulled her body to move, but before she knew it, she had lunged towards Twilight and tackled him off the crack. Arms around him, eyes shut.

Just as the monster blasted out of the ground and sent a shockwave colossal enough for her to actually feel it in her brain. 

And then the screech. Oh God, the screech. It penetrated her earplugs and sent the wolf rolling off her companion, curling into a ball and scratching at her ears. A long, aggravated scream left her throat, but she could no longer hear it as the rings overpowered any other sound. Cringing, her eyes began to water and tears streamed down her eyes. For before the battle had even begun, the monster had hit her greatest weakness.

And hit it hard.

PEEEEEEEEEW.


From the instant the shockwave burst from the ground, Diablo was shot through the air, his weak frame leaving the ground in a fraction of second as he was sent barreling through the air and head-first into a near-by tree, quickly cutting his distance of as he collided with a loud THUMP upon contact. Yeah owch. "Grr...urk.." Diablo was just about to begin clutching his head and whining about the pain coursing through his head when a shriek was emitted from a terrifying monster bursting from the ground. Diablo now clutched his ears tightly, kneeling on the floor and shuddering under the monsters hideous, ear-shattering noise. He struggled to his feet in order to get a look at the beast. He wished he didn't. "WHAT IN GODS NAME IS THIS MONSTROSITY!!!" He yelled out, probably went unheard over the shrieking however.

There was probably more yelling to come..

At first, Twilight was surprised to be tackled off of the crack- as if he didn't realize what was going on until it happened. Boom, an explosion, a straight up explosion of energy. He moved his arms up to guard himself as the creature broke through and unfortunately for them, the strange magic still affected them. Not even makeshift dark wings would carry Twilight for long. There was no way out of this. He pressed his hands against his ears as the screech ripped through the air- then attempted to get up off the ground. 

He was up, but ended up a little dizzy and confused from the screeching. Though his head was assaulted by quite a headache, he looked around and tried to assess the situation further, first looking back at his savior from before. Before he could do anything, the next shock wave came, and he jumped. Not expecting to hit the ground, Twilight nearly fell over upon landing. Everything was so confusing, he felt like he could fall over at any minute- in fact he seemed to stumble forward as he walked. The same dark aura as before seemed to become thicker around him, and he raised his right arm as he approached the beast. Darkness shaped and hardened around his hand and turned into large, menacing claws as he jumped up and jabbed at the beast without a second thought. Wings, wings, wings, he had to have his wings back!

He should of spoke up. The mass of Zetski and Echo thought to himself at least about telling the curious ones not to touch the slash, but by then it was too late. First, the halt of the rainbow magic stopping stirred a bit of suspicion. He stepped back, just a tiny bit, watching as the magic was retained back onto the crack. And then it exploded. Yay- I mean Oh nooooo.

The ear piercing screech didn't do much, oddly enough, but the explosion sure did; it sent him back decently far, and he rolled onto the ground limply. He seemed badly bruised all over, but attempted to get up, though it wasn't very quick.
