Fire and Ice: Opposites attract

The sound of babbling came from down the hall.

She groaned as she got up to walk down the stairs and down the hall. "Huh? Who's there?" She yawned widely.

A ghostly baby hedgehog was floating around the kitchen.

"Tyler get back here" came Emily's voice.

Roxanne yawned again, rubbing her eyes. "Emily?"

Emily floated in grabbing the baby hedgehog. "Tyler primos, how many times do I have to tell you you can't fly away from miss ruby"

Tyler giggled. "Ma!" He nuzzled into her smiling.

She turned. "Oh sorry do I wake you? Sorry roxy"

Roxanne was glad she grabbed a blanket to wrap around herself. She started gesturing. "No, no. It's fine. It's your house and area Emily." she smiled slightly.

Emily sighed. "It was my house. I was gonna give it to max as a gift when he finally turned eighteen." She said. "I wasn't going to have the time to take care of this place... I had a baby coming" she said nuzzling the baby. "This is Tyler... He's was in my belly when I was turned... And he's born a little angel in heaven... They gave him a second chance to start life."

Roxanne would notice that the baby had little white wings on his back. He babbled again looking to Roxanne as he suddenly shied away.

"Hey it's ok it's only aunty roxy"

Roxanne smiled slightly. "Oh. I see." she looked over at Tyler. "He looks just like you." she commented as she adjusted her blanket.

She nodded. "What's strange is he's supose to be my ex husbands son... But  Tyler has nothing from Malcolm's side... He only looks like me."

Roxanne shifted on her spot as she glanced down the hall, before back at her. "I prefer he looks like you, anyway." she smiled weakly.

"Malcolm won't be coming back into my life... I don't want him near me." She looked to roxanne. "But I'm talkin to much, go back to sleep roxy I got to go back up with Tyler.

Roxanne nodded back at her, humming in thought before she shook her head. "O-okay." she said before smiling sadly. "Take care. I mean it."

"You to roxy" she said starting to fly up. Tyler waved. "Bye bye"

Roxanne smiled as she waved him back with a wink. After that, she decided to return to their bedroom, snuggling up next to him again.

Maxus woke a little. "Hey baby. Where'd ya go?" He asked sleepily.

Roxanne kissed his cheek. "Oh, I just saw Emily and her son, Tyler. That's all. I just wondered who was downstairs." she explained as she curled up against him.

"Son?" He said soundin confused. "She never had a child..."

Roxanne looked up at him. "She said the angels gave him a second chance at life, so he was born this time, as an angel." she explained, stroking a reassuring hand down his chest.

Maxus sighed. "I didn't even know she was with a child... I thought Malcolm was just lying."

Roxanne sighed as she turned on her front. "Yeah, that's what I thought too, but I saw him and he was the spitting image of her thankfully. Though don't go mentioning Malcolm to her though, she looked like she was about to blow a top when she brought him up." she smirked.

Maxus sighed "well at least he's gone and never coming back. He's and old wound." He smiled looking to her. "Just a few more months and we'll be parents ourselves.

Roxanne smiled as she nuzzled into him. "I still don't think I'm going to be a good parent. Not as good as you." she murmured.

"You'll be an amazing mother I know it" he said pulling her close to him

Roxanne smiled, nuzzling into him. "I hope so." she whispered as she drifted off to sleep again.

several months later and they were back at the village, Roxanne's belly growing larger with each month. Maxus spent time making the baby's room and gettin supply's ready from after the baby was born. He was also constantly taking care of his fiancé with a smile. "Roxy lunch is ready" he said walking into the bedroom with a tray of food.
