Fire and Ice: Opposites attract

Maxus smiled. "Alright I'll let you guess. But I won't be giving any hints"

Roxanne thought. "A lakeside park? Oh, a fair? Some random...tourist attraction I've never heard of?" she there her hands up. "Oh, alright, I'm stumped for ideas." she said. "I'll just have to wait now."

Maxus grinned. "It's a place only I know about" he said driving. "That's your only hint"

"Oh, that's going to help me isn't it? A place only you know about." she said sarcastically as she grinned. She slumped back in her seat, resting her feet on top of the compartment as she continued to stare out of the window.

He smiled. he just kept on driving. It was about lunch time when they first stopped. He got gas and asked. "Where you wanna go for lunch?"

Roxanne looked round. "Is there not a drive through nearby or something? Or do you want small café?" She asked as she rubbed the back of her head.

"I was just asking if you wanted anythin specific."

Roxanne shrugged. "I'm going with the flow. I'm going with the theme of today. Surprise me." She meant it, she could eat anything right now since wasn't experiencing more cravings yet.

Maxus smiled handing her a burger. "Here you go"

"Thanks." She said before tucking in.she sat on the hood of the car as she stared down the road.

Maxus smiled eating with her.. He took a deep breath. "Good to be out on the road "

Roxanne swallowed before nodding. "Yeah, I've always wondered what life on the road or either travelling on a motorbike into the sunset would be like." she said as she stared down the road.

"Well I can't take you on the bike for a while. But I promise one day we will" he said smiling as he finished his lunch.

"Can't wait." she said, a little muffled as she swallowed her last mouthful. She crunched up the paper it was held in, throwing it in the bin before perching on the hood of the car again. "Thanks for that."

"Shall we get moving? It's still a long way till we get there. We might have to stop at a hotel tonight" he said kissing her cheek before going to get in the car."

Roxanne nodded before smiling as she got into the car, winding down the window so she could feel the wind in her fur as she looked out.

She was lucky she didn't suffer from travel sickness as they drove.

Max smiled. Hitting the road once more. He smiled as he let the roof down so the wind blew through his quills. He smiled his quills floated in the wind

Roxanne couldn't help but whoop when he drove that much faster, she looked in the compartments to find a pair of shades. With a smirk, she put them on and posed at Maxus.

Maxus laughed smiling. "Work it baby" he said as he drove

"Hell yeah." she replied as she reclined the seat back and stared up at the sky with a smouldering pout. She chuckled, looking at him out of the corner out of her eye.

He smiled. "Beautiful as always" he said over the wind. But suddenly there were sirens behind them. Maxus smiled. Pulling his wallet ou as he pulled over.

The cop walked up to them. "Sir are you aware you were speeding?"

"Yes I was" he held open the wallet as it shown a badge and id. "And I should have you fired for stopping a demon hunter on a mission"

The cop tenced. "So sorry sir, I didn't know you were a government hunter. Please continue on your way"

Maxus smiled "thank you" he sped off continuing he road trip.

Roxanne laughed, her mouth dropping open in surprise before she smirked, adjusting the shades. "That was so hot." she purred as she glanced at the ID.

Max smiled. "Remember the girl that the commander sent with us on the mission?" He said. "She owed me a favor, and since she got promoted after the mission she gave me this so cop wouldn't stop me"

"Awesome. I might have some ideas about that in the future." she teased as she bit her lip, relaxing into the seat again.

"Tell me what you have in mind" he said with a suspicious grin.
