Ok, I know that I should have made this topic so long ago but meh. It's made now.

So anyway just like everyone's favorite characters, This is what everyone's favorite shippings of Sonic and friends.

So yeah, Lets discuss pairings:

I pretty much like all except Shadamy, I am not sure why I guess it is just annoying cause this pairing would kind of break Shadow's character. If you know what I mean.

I mean ships will always be out of character because there not exactly cannon, But ShadAmy is actually one of the few ships were shadow is more in character than Sonadow or Shadouge.

Also I like Silvaze and Knuxouge as well, I mean i don't spazz over Knuckles and rouge ever being together, i just think its cute. With Silvaze, I am almost crazy over this pairing because it just works so well. If you go on Silver's Wiki page, it actually explains Silver's feelings for her which says she's like a big sister to him. I think it's close Enough

Yeah, I just read it. It's really interesting, I never hated Shadow nor Amy, I just never saw a good reason for them. That article states a really good reason that I didn't notice until now.

To be perfectly honest, I pretty much ship anything that I find to be interesting, and those that I like are:

Yay! Yaoi has made it to the sonic fandom!  

Also, I guess I am the lone Shadaze shipper once again.... That's my otp.  It's just because although Blaze is like Silver's older sister, that's just it.  They have a brother sister relationship, and sometimes that can even be cuter than actual romantic love.

My other otp is Scourge and Fiona, because I really like Fiona, and yeah.... That kind of stuff.  

I also ship Knuxouge and Sonamy.

I mean i understand what you mean by shadow's personality but how about Shadow x Maria? Maria used to be the only one that shadow cared for.

But I guess after what happened in Sonic 06 that no one likes Humans being in relationships with mobians, but Still, wouldn't you at least appreciate that couple for they do have a brother-sister relationship just like what Blazing said with Silver and Blaze.

I actually don't really like ships at all, But I think Silvaze is legit, seeing as they're kinda in love already.

Like I said before... I just can't see Shadow in that kind of relationship due to his current character. Maybe if he didn't die/get amnesia after SA2, I might see THAT Shadow in love, but that didn't happen. Write all the fanfics you want, but that never happened and never will.

(Side Note: I also believe that Shadow should have STAYED DEAD after he supposedly died at the end of Adventure 2. His purpose was fulfilled, and they didn't need him back.)

I always viewed Shadow and Maria as having a brother and sister relationship. Especially since Maria probably wasn't even a full grown adult at the time. Which isn't the point of shipping, and I don't personally judge it.

What I think is weird is that people seem to be okay with a romantic relationship between Shadow and Maria (As evidenced by a plethora of fan art and fanfiction.), but not okay with a relationship between Sonic and Elise. I heavily suspect ts because Sonic 06 was a poorly made game in almost every aspect. So the character and relationship development wasn't properly made like Shadow and Maria's has been. 
I viewed Sonic and Elise as more of business relationship of sorts. That was't the same vibe with Shadow and Maria.

Personally I have tons of favorite ships. Some depend on circumstance and universe.
For example: I like Sonic and Tikal, but only because I like the way EvanStanley hints at it in GOTF. In most other circumstances I am incredibly indifferent to it.
I like Sonadow and Shadouge a lot. I am a bigger multi-shipper and if an author or artist writes/draws a good setup and basis for a relationship, I'm willing to back it. ha ha.
