[size=12][size=15]Starlight is a yellowish orange female echidna. Her spikes are versatile, and can be put in multiple different styles like hair. As of now, she has straight, short spikes. She also has yellow dyed spikes on her forehead, which substitute for bangs. There's also the spikes on the sides, which are dyed yellow and curled, making contact with her muzzle a bit. Starlight has short, black eyelashes, as well as orange pupils. Her muzzle is peachy, with a long rounded nose on the end, which is unusual for her species. Along with the rounded nose, her muzzle isn't as long as the standard echidna. Her tail is also shorter than most echidnas, straight, and points downwards at an angle. There's also an orange oval on her forehead under her bangs, which matches her eyes. The oval is similar to the gemstone on Blaze's forehead, the only difference being the orange color of Star's gem. Starlight also tends to have quite the upright posture, which she gained during her backstory. Lastly, her body resembles the standard female echidna, only a little bigger.
Starlight as of now wears black tight shorts, along with black lightweight armor over her torso. She has caramel boots, gloves, and neckerchief.[/size][/size]

Starlight tries to avoid interactions with others, and avoid people in general. However, if she needs to interact with someone for something she wants or whatnot, she won't hesitate. While interacting, she's usually timid and awkward, but tries to stay as polite as can be. Starlight is also tries her best to be rational in a situation, and only uses violence as an absolute last resort. At the same time, she can also be too adamant with her solutions, trying to constantly enforce them onto someone. This doesn't usually work well with her disliking towards being declined or overshadowed either, often leading to outbursts. It's rare, but sometimes the outbursts even get physical. As a friend, Starlight is usually relaxed, motivating, and sometimes a jokester. Star is usually stoic, and has a high tendency to break out with an outburst when she's at her limit. Finally, she tends to be a bit clingy with others, and finds it hard to let go of them.

[u]Powers:[/u] Being an echidna, Starlight's strength is greatly enhanced compared to a normal Mobian. She can lift up to 2.5 metric tons, as well as pack a heavy punch. Star can also glide and climb, also like other echidnas. She also knows how to Spin Dash.
Due to her more unique genetics, she can harness the power of sunlight. She can focus sunlight onto something direct, such as a person or object, burning or blinding them. Star can also convert the sunlight into some sort of offensive energy thanks to her genetics. Using the energy, she can create a single weapon, barriers, and energy rays. She can also heal herself to an extent using sunlight. Stab wounds are her limit, an injury worse than a stab wound won't be affected by her healing powers.

[size=10]-[/size] She strives to be a diplomat, which means she can help lead to a better solution sometimes.
[size=10]-[/size] Typically due to her powers, she's much more of a threat in battle during the daytime.

[size=10]-[/size] Due to her training at the bio labs, her fight IQ is considerably high.

[size=10]-[/size] During the nighttime, her powers regarding sunlight are disabled.
[size=10]-[/size] Starlight sometimes bastardizes herself with deprecation, which makes her lose motivation to do certain things.
[size=10]-[/size] While she is easily empowered mentally by encouragement, she occasionally gets carried away, and ends up leaving herself open in battle. Along with that, she sometimes gets too defensive of her goals when they're encouraged by herself or others.
[size=10]-[/size] Star is somewhat claustrophobic, mainly in the sense of a small tight room. When in a crowd, she's more so uneasy than fearful.
[size=10]-[/size] Along with a particular case of claustrophobia, Starlight has a particular case of autophobia. She'll get scared when someone leaves, mainly because she feels like they aren't safe, rather than herself. She is sometimes unsettled when alone, just being concerned for her own safety, but nowhere near as much when it regards someone else's safety.

[u]Positive relations[/u]
[size=10]-[/size] Suviris the Hedgehog: Starlight views Suviris as an older, caring brother. Along with that, she depicts him as a fearless and selfless hero.
[size=10]-[/size] Egg Pawn 51-EB: EB acted as a parental figure to Starlight and Suviris in a sense. They always tried their best to keep the worst from Star and Suviris.

[size=10]-[/size] Eggman Empire: Starlight wholeheartedly despises the empire, seeing them as a cruel and irresponsible legion lead by a ruthless dictator. She mainly gained this viewpoint while she was in the empire's bio labs.

[b][size=16]History[/size][/b]
Starlight's genetics are linked to a special group of echidnas known as the Solis Clan. The Solis Clan was comprised of small groups of echidnas that disliked the main tribe's religion and goals given by Pachacamac, and migrated elsewhere. They settled near a volcanic wasteland, where a Phoenix ruled. In exchange for power and rights over the wasteland, they worshiped the Phoenix. The power bestowed was implanted into their foreheads as an oval, which gave them access to heat based abilities. However, due to the lack of resources, and abundance of active volcanoes, the Solis Clan mostly died out.
 Years later, Eggman sent robots to localize the wasteland, which was now comprised of inactive volcanoes. During the localization, his robots found bodies and skeletons of the Solis Clan that were preserved by solidified magma, as well as rock tablets with writings and pictures. Curious, they started running tests on the corpses in bio labs. During tests, they managed to decode the murals and get DNA samples from the bodies and skeletons, pinpointing their power gimmicks. Finding the results interesting, they attempted to recreate a Solis Echidna. They did so successfully, thus birthing Starlight.
As soon as she was created, she was put through multiple courses to activate her powers, and raise her fighting capabilities and whatnot, that way she could be used in the empire. As time went on, the conditions got more harsh. However, things started lightening up once another specimen named Suviris came. With Suviris came Egg Pawn Unit 51-EB, an Egg Pawn unit that was assigned to guard Suviris due to his rebellious and cunning nature. At first, she saw Suviris as some hedgehog who was dragged into the bio labs and wanted to be a hotshot, and EB as a pushover of a guard. But as she got to know them, she pictured the two as family. Starlight and Suviris trained together, helping one another through the courses as they grew harder, with EB giving them advice along the way. After a while, they were seen ready, and were going to be sent to the Eggman Empire to fight. But EB didn't want that for them, nor did Suviris or Starlight want to go. So, EB managed to keep them in training for a few more days using sweet talk. With the extra time they had, EB made an escape plot for the two, that way they could leave and live normal lives.
At first, the plan was working like a charm, until EB got caught helping them escape. EB told Suviris and Starlight to run, while EB held off the empire's forces long enough. So the two ran, but ended up getting separated by being attacked. Starlight didn't know what happened to Suviris or EB, and still doesn't to this day, but she escaped the bio labs, and ran far off. Now she searches wanders the lands, trying to get over Suviris and EB.
