The wolf curiously looks over the remains of the vehicle. There wasn't much of note to him, given that he wasn't very familiar with the mechanics of cars.

The liquid did catch his eye and he moved close to sniff at it and see if it had a noticeable scent or anything. He also did his best to not touch it or the car either. Without knowing what it was, he preferred to avoid getting any on himself.

Once that was done, he did another walk around of the car. In general, he knew that it was missing the engine from the front of it. Presumably it had been ripped out. It didn't appear to be nearby, either intact or in pieces. He thought that was pretty strange given much of the vehicle was still here after having been found.

He moves back over to the alleyway. Once there he starts to look around for anything else that might have once belonged to the wrecked car. He also kept attentive for any more of the liquid like what had been in the car, especially if it had any sort of scent he could pick up, and scratch marks or gouges in the ground or walls of the alley. He thought that if something might have torn open that car here, maybe it left some marks on the surroundings too.

The trail of blood that ran off from the main room was also accompanied by a stretch of the black ribbon that was bunched up in several corners of the living room. Just as the frog had observed, this ribbon was indeed covered in some sort of fur, a very fine kind, but it was there.

The trail however faded off into the carpet, the blood stains stopping at the end of a corridor, off to the side of the corridor where two doors, both locked, but where the trail stopped, the ribbon did also.

The blood trail curved around and tapered to a point, meeting up with the very end of the ribbon itself.

Meanwhile, as the frog listened to the soldiers talking, their voices became almost uncanny, and difficult to distinguish from one another, he still felt uncomfortable around the four of them, but as he'd reasoned before, they were giving support, and that was what mattered.

The soldiers mentioned some sort of static interference but the frog's communicator hadn't picked up anything, and he begun to wonder how advanced the Omega team's tech was. From the outside, it certainly looked pretty advanced, but there was still the question of whether it was equally as impressive internally.

He looked over to the Phoenix, whose wing was resting on his shoulder, at the same time, the Omega leader stepped toward him, mentioning that they should probably leave in pursuit of the creature, and he was right. But with the contents of this apartment alone, he wasn't too sure they could take it down alone.

"Well, uh... Yeah, we should probably track it down, but with what's been going on here, I have no Idea where we'd go. I'll be receiving a call on the whereabouts of where the thing strikes next, but actually getting there before it attacks? I have no clue."

Almost as if on cue, the distant sound of police sirens rang out through the city, the wail echoing across the street and in through the apartments' damaged window.

"Right now, the best bet is to follow that. With luck, it'll be what we're looking for."

He pointed into the air, as if motioning for the very sound waves emitted by the police siren. He took one last look at the rest of the apartment, then turned to Omega leader.

"Call the rest of your men, we're heading out."

* * *

Down on the ground floor, a different figure was doing an investigation of their own.

Similar to the contents of the upstairs apartment, the liquid appeared to be some sort of thick, oily blood. It's smell was strong and bitter, almost acidic, like metal. Upon closer inspection, the windows especially had etch marks from where the blood had run down its surface.

The car itself had no other defining features, besides the insane amount of carnage that had been unleashed upon it, the steel torn, windows shattered and blood pilled. Whatever had happened, it seemed that it could have been much worse.

The contents of what had once belonged to the wrecked care were littered around the alleyway, but the car engine was not among the pieces present. Several parts of varying size lay strewn around, each with their own numbered cone. A rear-view mirror, slicked in the liquid, a few bolts from one of the car wheels, and a large piece of the trunk door.

The alleyway itself didn't offer much, other than the car, but several thin scratches ran from the car's position all the way up the outer wall of the apartment building, the the 4th floor window, which was open and had several thick gouges around it.

At the discovery of this, a police siren sounded off somewhere in the city.

-Nothing much of value was discovered, the trail just seemed to vanish off into nothing, Omega's 2 and 3 made a final sweep of the area before reporting back to the leader.-

"Omega leader this is Omega 2, trail is a dead end, nothing of much value to continue searching here what are your orders."

"Omega 2 and 3 return to the main group, just got intel we are preparing to move out...I think we are done here, head back ASAP."

"Roger that we are on our way back."

-The sounds of distant sirens coming in was a sure sign of a possible next destination, Omega leader rallied the team together and ordered immediate extraction from the building, they were done here.-

At least going down was better then going up, the troopers rushed down the staircase to make best speed to ground level, if there was any chance they could engage the creature they sure as hell were not going to miss out on a opportunity.

The squad quickly reaches ground floor and begins to search the immediate area for the entrance of the other two beings, setting up a typical wide cover arc, two covered the left, and two covered the right with in plain view of their transport."

"Omega squad eyes open, that figure could still be near by, if hostile engage on site...area looks clear so far but that doesn't mean it is."

-The squad would hold their position until the other two would make it to the ground level-

In a quick yet careful fashion, the group finally began heading out, moving down the stairs quickly. Pyro stayed back with Rhino, thinking about bringing in Nova to help out. They could always use more people, and other than Jack, she was the best fighter he knew.

He and Rhino began heading down the stairs, with the Omega Team hanging around the bottom of the stairs waiting for them as they called for back-ups. Pyro turned to Rhino, "Uh... hey, if we need back-up, could I call in an old friend? I'm sure she could help in dealing with the threat."
It felt rather casual, to an awkward level. Everyone here seemed all-business, even the guy with the accent here. Everything seemed so serious - and he understood that. But for him, hunting down something? This was fun for him, he was just along for the ride until he'd likely be allowed to do some damage. Asking to bring a friend in though... yeah, seemed a little weird for something that Rhino wanted kept secret. What, would Pyro start going "hey, they can keep a secret, honest!" or something?

Soon, they were out the door, and Pyro looked around. First in the direction of the police sirens, then to the jeep. "We movin' on foot, or gonna take the jeep?"

The wolf wrinkles his nose slightly at the scent of the liquid he'd come across. He wasn't sure what it was, but he was pretty sure he'd remember it for a while.

Apart from that though, there didn't seem to be anything else of note in the remains of the vehicle. As he made his way back to the alleyway proper, he did notice some scratches on the ground that led back into the alley. Out of curiousity, and without any other clues or objects of interest, he follows the trail of scratches over to the building he'd been circling initially and found some more that went up the wall.

He glances up along the wall towards the roof of the building. There looked to be some damage around one of the windows four floors up, but he couldn't really tell much about it from ground level. It all gave an impression that something might have gone up the wall from the alleyway, but the wolf had no idea how it might have been done while leaving these marks on the wall and ground. While he ponders that, he starts walking towards the front of the building.

At that point, he notices that there is a siren sounding in the distance. His ears perk and he glances in its direction.

He pauses at the mouth of the alleyway so that he can glance around again. Ignoring the sound of the siren, he can hear a bit of a commotion coming from the entrance of the building he'd noticed the people go into earlier. Ducking back into the alley, the wolf peers out cautiously to watch the entrance.

Several figures emerge shortly after and take up protective positions near the doorway. The wolf draws back slightly, trying to stay hidden, while still being able to watch them. A little while later, a frog and bird exit the building as well.

Straining to hear them, he can barely make out one of them asking how they were going to move on. He decides to listen to their conversation as best he could from where he was. If he got some idea what they were doing he could then decide on whether to approach them and how.

(OOC: Just thought I'd mention that no-one yet knows what the frog's name is yet. Noticed that a few people have been mentioning his name, just wanted to point out that he hasn't said it yet.)

The soldiers were again uncannily similar, and he found it difficult to determine who was talking, with the only giveaway being the amount of static being relayed due to the double transmission filtering. The frog was tempted to ask about it, but he needed to focus on the current issue, rather than running off on tangents.

But regardless, the Omega team regrouped pretty quickly and with the Phoenix already present, it was time to move out. They all fell in and began making their way back down the stairwell, leaving the foul dilapidated Level 4 Apartment behind, and swiftly making their way past the Level 3 Apartment door.

The four soldiers made a rush for the ground floor in an attempt to ensure that the Figure from before wasn't hanging around to assassinate them, but it became evident that the coast was clear enough for them to continue since there wasn't any gunfire or any sound of a scuffle.

During the whole movement, Pyro had looked at the frog and asked if he'd be able to call in support, in the event that things went south.

While calling in backup could be helpful, especially after what they just saw, doing so at the time that things got worse would not be the best idea. If they were going to ask for support, it would have to have been earlier, the current issue was too pressing, and ensuring that the operation was carried out properly would require explanation.

Any backup would be forced to meet at the next scene, and by then they'd either already be in trouble, or wouldn't have enough time to explain the situation. A good suggestion, but not one that the frog could accept at that time.

"No, no backup. We need to get to the next location ASAP, and whoever you call in won't be in on what's going on. Sorry, but no."

And it wasn't exactly that he wanted it to be kept a secret, he simply didn't want them to alarm civilians.

They reached the bottom of the stairs with the squad of soldiers guarding the front door. With the current state of the building he was surprised it hadn't collapsed under the stress of their footsteps, and hopefully there were plans to demolish the eyesore within the next few months, before more civilians were hurt.

Again, the Phoenix looked around before asking another question.

"Oath. I'm not that fit, of course we're taking the jeep. Those sirens sound like they're quite a while away, and we need to be there 5 minutes ago."

He wasn't sure if the figure was still around, or whether they were related to the incident that occured on the 4th floor, if they were here to kill the 6 of them, or if they were here under their own investigation, but if they had intentions to join them, they'd best decide quickly.

The frog almost leapt from the sidewalk into the drivers seat of the jeep, giving the group and building a quick look over before motioning for everyone to make their way into the vehicle.

"Get in."

As his webbed hand grasped the keys and turned them in the ignition he saw something out of the corner of his eye, peering towards them in the alleyway, but when his eyes tried to focus on it, it was no longer within his field of vision. Whether that was the figure from before or not, he was unsure.

With the current surroundings and their rush to get into the truck, he supposed that it probably wouldn't hurt to call out to whatever it was, if it was anything.

"If you're here for the creature, I'd suggest you get in now. We're going to the next place it could be."

The frog called out from the drivers seat into the alleyway, unsure if there was even anything there, or anyone.

-Something was not right about this place, is a place could make these soldiers..uncomfortable then it was indeed so, the sheer strangeness and quietness all mixed together didn't sit well with the group, mostly because of how they were suppose to operate.

The area seemed clear tho Omega leader was not convinced by such things, the whole "Its to quiet" issue was ever present, tho he and the rest remained where they were unless specifically ordered by the frog to investigate the surrounding area further.

At least the vehicle was not tampered or hijacked, while the troopers could make it on foot it would take them far longer to get to where they need to go, which judging by the sirens seemed a fair bit of a distance away.

Eventually the two other Mobians mad their way out of the building and onto the level ground where they had entered before, Omega leader had the same idea of calling in reinforcements via other Replicant units, but it was a call he couldn't make, only suggest, tho more Replicant soldiers meant more activity and a large draw of attention, this was after all suppose to be a more or less under the radar op.

"Sir..the area is secure...no sign of that unknown being..tho I believe he may still be in the area....."

Tho the actions suggested by the forget seemed to have spotted something or some one hiding or attempting to hide near by in the alley way, the troopers took aim at the desolated area upon the frog telling who ever it was lurking near by to come out and follow them, tho the soldiers were only being cautious with the weapons, and would only fire if ordered to by the Frog.

"Omega team lower your weapons...I don't think its a hostile...."

-Perhaps having a couple of assault rifles pointed at some one was indeed a good way of making sure who ever it was either didn't cause a issue or kept their head down but in this situation they decided to play it a little more open and allow who ever it was to step out and show them self with out being turned into Swiss cheese on a moments notice, they after would only shoot..if the frog told them to.-

(I don't think anyone's said it in dialogue at least, still, I'll keep that in mind.)

Though a little disappointed, and not fully understanding since the situation was as simple to explain as "we don't want to attract attention, but we're hunting a vicious monster", he didn't want to annoy the frog and be asked to leave. No point in fighting what he says, especially since the realization occurred to him that bringing someone with explosive fists in wasn't exactly the most quiet decision.

They left the building, and was about ready to try and get on the top... But once again, not the most unnoticeable thing to do. But not everyone could fit in the jeep, right?
He was about to try and jump in as he was asked, curious if the other soldiers would try and squeeze in or just get on the jeep again, when he got distracted. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw something. Clearly he wasn't the only one as the replicants pulled out their rifles and shortly after was ordered to put them away, and the frog called out to the figure.

Pyro turned to face where the frog was looking at, curious... the figure was no longer visible, but everyone knew they were there. "Hey, come on out dude. No one here wants to hurt you, I'm sure."

Despite his efforts, the wolf ended up being spotted shortly after the group had exited the building. He wasn't surprised by that though. He wasn't a spy after all... nor was he really dressed to blend in with his surroundings.

He had hoped to get a chance to learn more about what was going on, but it appeared that he'd now have to make some decision without much more information.

The group appeared to be defensive, but not hostile. Of course the four individuals that were carrying ranged weapons appeared to be ones that would put that assumption to the test. For the moment they were at ease though.

The bird and frog seemed more... agreeable. Both of them invited him to at least step forward. The frog even gave him a bit of information he hadn't been aware of. They were hunting something. The wolf wondered if it was related to the mess of metal he'd seen and the scratches on the ground and walls of the alleyway.

Only going to be one way to find out it seemed.

Taking in a breath, the wolf slowly steps out from the alleyway. He keeps his paws at his sides and his gaze focused on the group ahead of him as he walks over towards them.

Stopping a few metres from the group, he looks them over.

"I assume that there is trouble in the area?" he asks, not really directing his question at any particular individual.

In all honesty, the window to get to the origin of the police sirens was probably much larger than he'd exaggerated it to be, the nearest station to whatever incident had occurred would definitely have been called, but with the density of the city at this time of night, the delay could be tremendous, and after all. It wasn't the actual Police they were trying to find, they were just the ticket to the prize.

And looking back to the apartment, it would be a prize that try as they could, they wouldn't be able to return it.

While the situation was a little more fragile then attracting attention, it was suffice to say that would be a good summary. And as for the monster, the actual beast remained to be seen, but it seemed like it would be causing quite a bit of trouble when they get to the next destination.

The Soldier mentioned the absence of the being from before all to late, and soon enough they had their rifles raised in the direction of the alley-way, shortly lowering them after, but still, a loaded gun is a loaded gun.

At the same time though, in truth they had no idea who the figure was, and they could even have been the beast. Yet, it wasn't likely, and it didn't seem that way anyway.

The frog could feel the hum of the Jeep's engine under his webbed feet and vibrating throughout the entire vehicle, and he eyed his own rifle carefully as the figure approached the truck.

"Sir, I don't know who you are, but we're running an undercover op. You're more then welcome to join, but the decision needs to be made quickly. I sense that you might be familiar with this sort of thing, I almost didn't see you."

Indeed, had he not caught the figure moving into the shadows in the corner of his eye, he definitely would not have seen him at all. And it was reasonable to believe that someone capable of that should at least be familiar with not attracting attention, hopefully they'd be good at hunting too.

With that in mind, in the event that this individual was all too familiar with hunting, it could also cause problems, but they were here now, and there was no going back.

-Tho the troopers weapons were now more or less pointed away they were still very much armed and ready, they treated any and all new comers with suspicion, that was just a part of their programmed structure.

Tho they already had orders to mount up and so they followed the said instructions and begin to board the vehicle, leaving the bird and frog to handle the new comer.

Two would board the back of the vehicle, one took up a seat while the last took up one of the front seats, it was unclear of what the wolf made of him, four identically dressed and armed figures seemed off, no real difference in character for note.

With the sirens continuing to carry off into the night and time clearly not on their sound one of the troopers quickly made the point about needing to move.-

"I don't want to interrupt but we wasting time here, if we fail to get to the next location the area may just be as deserted as this one was so perhaps we can figure out more while on the move."
