Hot Wind Blowing

-Shrike looked up and as soon as he did there it came, a horrific twisted being made of barbwire, entire out of it all, but that wasn't the most horrific thing, the creature had a friggin chainsaw for a tail, what kind of fuckery is this Shrike thought to himself.

Perhaps this abomination did come from the foundry, or a different one, it bared resemblance to the one who chased them back on the foundry some time ago, tho it was possibly similar in origin to the previous ones, regardless it was here and is was probably going to attack them with out mercy or questions.

Shrike lifted his weapon and opened fire immediately, hoping this time his weapon would be effective against it, as fighting the last one was like spitting into a tornado..useless and ineffective. 

"Pyro! I'll keep the son of a bitch occupied with weapons fire, do what you can from up there..I hope this son of a bitch can be hurt by weapons..last one we fought couldn't be harmed at all!...GIVE IT HELL!"

-Shrike strafed and circled the monster blasting away with his rifle as empty cases ejected from the weapon as Shrike blazed away at the monster bearing down on them.-

Though weaker, it was quick. The bullets seemed to hurt it, causing it to screech out horrific screeches, its broken lightbulb eyes sparking and buzzing.
It was threatening them...? Pyro had no clue what this thing was doing, but apparently it was trying to scare them into not attacking without using Fear Flash - it was a fake out, a trick. The sparks made it seem like it would Fear Flash, but it didn't...
Pyro was uncertain of this, and swung a blade down at it.
The Warpaint engulfed in fire, dug into the ground, and then came up under the creature in an eruption of flames.

It was not too fond of this.

Not being caught in the blade this time, it let this upward motion carry into an attack, flipping through the air, swinging the chainsaw down at Shrike.

-Shrike kept shoot glad to see it could be harmed, he was gonna drop this asshole with every thing he had, not to mention above in the sky his new alley was also taking the fight to him, the two seemed to deliver blows that the creature didn't like at all.-

"It's working we can do damage to it! Keep it up!"

-Suddenly with out much time to react the creature swung its chainsaw directly in the path of Shrike, he desperately tried to back up catching the tail end of it as the saw collided with his chest armor.

Sparks shot off in all directions as the weapon made contact with him, Shrike collapsed onto his back , a nice scar mark in his chest plate tho thankfully it had stopped the blow, Shrike angered by this switch to the grenade launcher under his weapon, took aim.-

"GO TO HELL!"

-Shrike fired off a high explosive shell from the weapon as it darted towards the beast exploding violently upon making contact, tho Shrike was pretty sure that alone would not entirely stop it, he slowly pulled himself back onto his feet, getting his bearings again an waited to see what came next.-

Pyro was surprised by the hit Shrike took, and was glad they could handle it. After the explosion, it roared, and Pyro was ready to jump down and deal a finishing blow, when the smoke cleared and the machine just stood there, its eyes just sparking...
"What's it doing...?"

Shrike? Close your eyes. Let Pyro know to close his eyes. Oh no oh no oh no oh-

-Shrike braced himself unknown of what dangers may come next, not really knowing at first why the creature had halted its attack, Shrike venture forward a little, weapon drawn at the ready to strike another blow.

Its eyes, the eyes were flickering, the speed of which seem to be escalating rapidly, at first totally unknown for the reason it was doing this until the the coin dropped, it was going to use the same flash as the previous one did, a flash Shrike took a good while to recover from and even then he didn't come out it totally fine.

Shrike waved his hands at Pyro in a negative way he knew now what was going to happen.- 

"PYRO! GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM IT ! Its going to use a horrific flash defense weapon to mess with your mind, turn away now! Before it you see it happen!"

-Shrike turned back, leaping onto a prone position with his arms over the back of his helmet waiting for it to go off, hoping this time the flash would not harm him.-

With the warning, Pyro was confused, watching Shrike begin to take cover.

"Why not try and stop it?!"

Barely closing his eyes, he jumped off the tree and just as the trees surrounding them took on a pure white shine, he screamed with utter power...

"PYROBOOM!"

Flames erupted from Pyro's body as the area became a lot hotter, enough trees away from the fire that most only got blackened, dust kicking up from the force of the explosion. The abomination's metal warped as it was engulfed in the flame, screeching in utter rage and agony as it finally fell...
Shrike was too far from the flames, barely even grazed, to be hurt, but the explosive force may have knocked him on his face.

Pyro landing on the grkind after the event was over, nearly falling but catching himself. His eyes were wide, unsure of what just happened.
He took partial flash due to his stupidity, and was frozen.
"W- what- what the hell did that thing do?!"

-Shrike took cover and at this point didn't know if Pyro had done the same, but he had given the warning, bracing for the flash, Shrike's body was met with a sudden jolt of energy, a shock wave of heat racing over him, hang on a second..that is not what he remembered about how it was suppose to go. Believing it to be over, Shrike stood himself up only to see fire..fire every where, burning trees and the ground, dust clouds here there and every where.

Well looks like Armageddon just landed and now he would have to grave the hellish dust storm and fire to try and locate Pyro.-

"PYRO!....PYRO!...Where the hell are you! What the fuck just happened out here...it's not suppose to set every thing on fucking fire!"

-Shrike eventually found him, stumbling, confused and had no clue what he had just been exposed to, Shrike realized he must of caught a glimpse of the flash, the figure knew he had to get him out of here.-

"Pyro we need to go! We need to go now! Can you move at all ?" 

Pyro heard Shrike calling out, and he himself was on edge, but was otherwise fine it seems.
"Y- y- yeah. I- before I blew the fucker up, it flashed me- I still don't understand what happened b- but, it's best not to stay here."
Pyro grabbed a hold of Shrike, his feet sparking off embers as he ran, speeding through the forest.

-Shrike was a little unsure how the fire was started but he could figure out later, right now he didn't want to be caught in it and burn to death, he rushed along side the Phoenix to escape the blaze. He soon realized Pyro had suffered from the flash.-

"You were exposed to the fear flash, at least temporarily, it fucks with your mind and makes every thing go to hell, come on we need to get the hell out of here! I was exposed to one on a flying foundry, it was so bad I barely made to the evac point and even days afterward I experienced terrible nightmares..

On the good side it will wear off! Fire seems to be getting out of control, I don't remember it having the ability to do this kind of effect and damage..fire is spreading!"

-Shrike tried to keep along side of Pyro, even tho he was far faster then him, Shrike's own adrenaline kept him moving at a respectable pace.-

How Shrike hasn't gotten the gist that Pyro caused the fire yet, no one knew, but he didn't really care enough at the moment.
As they saw the ladder to the mineshaft exiting out of the ruins and leading to the train station and field, Pyro looked to Shrike and asked, "Is ya'  suit flame retarded?"
He was planning to fly off into the sky, but doing so, especially if he was to carry Shrike, he'd have to light his tail feathers.

How that propelled him was still a mystery.

-It was getting hot, the temp gauge in his HUD was indicating levels were rising, it was more of a heat wave then any thing else but god damn was it hot. He felt like the energy in him was being sucked away by the heat. 

Something was before them, the mineshaft that was as Shrike saw the only way out of this place and back out into the field and station, probably his best bet of getting out of this heat hell. 

Pyro asked him a rather interesting question before Shrike decided to go ahead and that was if his clothing was fire proof, or more or less could not catch on fire and cause him to burn to death, Shrike didn't even know this but was willing to gamble it.

"I have no idea but I am rolling the dice here...See you on the other side!...If I am not burnt alive."

-Shrike went ahead with it, charging through the mine shaft, he thought something was burning and as luck would have it...his clothing..was not really fire resistant, and was on fire to a small degree, he figured if he stopped inside to try and put it out it would only get worse, he bolted like mad to the other side, upon exiting Shrike did what he was naturally taught. "STOP DROP AND ROLL!"

Shrike hit the ground and rolled until the flames were finally extinguished, he lay upon his back for several seconds before getting himself up, turning to view his back wondering where the Phoenix had gone to ? Had he simply just flown away by now ?-

Shrike answered his question with, effectively, the verbal equivalent of a shrug... then before Pyro could act he jumped into the mine cart, and was ripped from Pyro's warm feathers.
His eyes opened wide, "What the double fuck-?" he screeched out, before shooting up with a burst of flame coming from his tail, and flying over the mountain back toward the field.

Shrike could see Pyro flying overhead in the sky, not even concerned for Shrike's safety after the insanity they both just went through.
Who knows when they'd meet again after this?
