The Lights of the Guardians Empty The Lights of the Guardians

Post by Vega Desol Tue Mar 06, 2018 8:08 pm

It was an early evening, the sun only just beginning to set upon the large, busy city. The loud rush and sounds beginning to die down to a low hum as the streets became less and less populated. As the sun rolled down behind the horizon, and the stars began to rise in the sky, the quiet night was abruptly interrupted...

The dark night sky suddenly being filled with five bright lights, each emerging from different areas of the outskirts of the city. They all went off one by one... black... pink.... red.... yellow.... and finally white. Each colour erupting briefly in a large pillar up into the sky, burning brightly before fizzling out.

But the brief amount of time certainly didn't downplay their prominence, anyone who happened to have a glance in the direction of these lights was sure to be mesmerized by the shining colours.

In particular, the final light, the bright white colour, had shined down upon a particular bright white furred hedgehog, yet once the light faded, there was no noise, no sound of agony, no confused questioning... nothing at all from that particular area.... only those who dare to venture to the areas of the lights would find what it holds....

Red Light Location: Plains

The Lights of the Guardians Empty Re: The Lights of the Guardians

It indeed was early evening, and yet the sun had already set. Stars hung in the sky, as one by one, each streetlight flickered to life. The hustle and bustle of the city streets had died down, and it was still some time until the night-dwellers would surface, heading to bars, and clubs, to spend their evening drinking alcohol, and dancing.

However, in the street, there was one hedgehog, dressed in a long blue coat, holding a phone up as he spoke. “Alright, so filming starts next Wednesday-“

At once, his speech was cut off, as a large pillar of red light fired into the ground, not too far from the city, seemingly coming from the plains. The hedgehog would expect panic, or cries of pain, or an explosion, or... something, and yet, there was nothing.

“I’ll... I’ll call you back,” Caen finally spoke, ending the call and putting his phone in his pocket, just as the light faded. Lucky he was expecting trouble, otherwise he would have been unarmed as he ran out of the city, and towards the light’s location.

The Lights of the Guardians Empty Re: The Lights of the Guardians

Somewhere near the edge of the forest, the purple-clad lioness known as Shalina was preparing to rest up in a tall tree when a few pillars of light caught her attention and she was mesmerized by the spectacle as they each appeared and fizzled out one after another, no doubt she was curious as to what caused those mysterious lights.

She gave a hum of thought in her head, silently weighing her options on this matter. Go investigate the where the closest light pillar was and risk the forest's dangers for who knows what, or leave her curiosity unsatisfied and stay mostly safe.

She debated with herself for a few minutes before deciding her curiosity was too strong to leave this mystery alone, not to mention it helps that she has the home field advantage, knowing the forest in and out and whatnot. And so the lioness made the fretful trek towards where she saw the mysterious pillar of white light, bouncing from tree to tree at a brisk yet cautious pace, ever vigilant for potential danger
