PERSONALITY TRAITS
Appearance: A light fawn brown colour makes up the majority of her fur and hair, with a light cream colouring accentuating her muzzle, palms and bottom of her feet. Her eyes are a striking teal colour but but are always calm and gentle. Her eyes are normally closed over slightly, indicating a relaxed composure. 
A small roundish fuzzy tail that is fawn brown on the top and cream on the bottom rests at the base of her back and is often hidden by the long lilac shirt she normally wears as casualwear on top of a black vest top which fades to a medium grey around midway down it. She normally wears a black leather choker with a silver ring hanging down from it, along with a black chained bracelet that connects to a dark silver ring on her right middle finger, while on her left arm she wears a spiked wristband donning silver spikes.
With her vest tucked into her high waisted soft blue denim shorts, she also sports a thick black belt with a silver "X" buckle. below her shorts Elysia wears a pair of darker purple thigh high stockings that match the inside of her shirt and sit on her legs loosely. Lastly a pair of black combat boots with dark grey toes adorn her feet. They have black frayed ties on the back.

Personality: Elysia is as soft as her fur. Her nature is one to be consistently patient to everyone around her, which sometimes makes her come across as a pushover to those who do not know her. Contrary to this information, she can be very persistent if the need be, and can persuade most people if she really wants to. She gives off a calming serene air to those around her, which makes her a pefect candidate for being able to look after children. 
Being a lot more understanding and trustworthy, Elysia gets bundled with a lot of work, and with her being one not to say no very often, she takes it all on and never complains about it ever. She gets that others can have very busy lives and that they depend on her to take care of things properly.
There has been times in the past where her personality has been a little random and jumpy though, similar to that of her abilities. One minute she could go from relaxed and calm, to bouncy and overly energetic. 

COMBAT TRAITS
Powers: Electrokinesis. 
In many ways Elysia can create bolts of electricity or even small sparks depending on what she needs at the moment. There is also an anomaly she has when using her powers where depending on her mood her electricity can change colours. For example, if she is feeling content, it will appear with a yellowish hue, while if she is feeling really angry it can appear as a deep dark red. Only once has she ever experienced black electricity and never again would she use that if she could help it. With each colour and emotion it is tied to, it corresponds to strength level.
Strengths: Able to create and manipulate static energy in the air and turn it into sparks or full on waves of electricity, can keep a calm head in the most dire of situations, generally good all round body strength. 
Weaknesses: Not the fastest person around, Sense of smell isn't as it used to be, If excited, can release small sparks from her fur unintentionally, every now and then needs to find a release for built up energy.

HISTORY
Born in the early hours of the 6th July, Elysia Ortis came into the world. She was greeted by her parents and her big sister, Kori. Her early life was pretty easygoing. With her parents being away on business trips, Elysia was often left in the care of her sister. As a toddler, there was a time when she was in a playgroup to be socialised with other children of her age where they did a fun experiment with static energy. The caretaker blew up a balloon and rubbed it on each childs head to show the 'magical' powers of static by showing how their fur and hair would suddenly stand on end to try and grab the rubbery bubble. When it came to Elysia however, the moment the balloon came into contact with her, it burst violently, scaring everyone in the room. 
It was from then on that weird things began happening. As the young bear grew up, other small unusal occurences began to happen, such as at school, she could be simply walking past a fellow classmate, only to zap them with static unexpectedly. This continued with Kori just assuring her that she was just a little more full of the energy than most, and it was nothing to worry about. 
By this point, Elysias parents were no longer working in other areas of the world, and had been able to settle down at home and watch their children grow up. They also ended up having another child not long afterwards, and the youngest of the family, Larkin was born nine years after Elysia.
Then when middle school came around, Elysia began to slowly lose friends. They became far too wary of being too close to her, and so left her by herself until she worked something out to fix her 'problem' and therefore become safe around others in close range. Nobody dared bully her because of the shocks she could give off, which in a way was a positive, but it really took a blow to her confidence. Her parents saw she was coming home from school and not even talking to them at dinner, so tried to investigate. Eventually they discovered why, and immediately booked her in to see some help from their local doctor. The appointment concluded that in fact, Elysia had dormant abilities that had been trying to escape from her ever since she was three years old. This explained a lot of instances that made sense, and now she could get the proper help she so needed.
Back to school, her teachers were filled in on the findings, so the students were told trough class as well, and before long, Elysia had gained some friends back with the sincerest of apologies. She began attending a special school class for students who were experiencing difficulties with handling their powers properly, and it helped her control herself so much better. No more zapping people in the hallways for this cinnamon bear!
A few years later and some tougher times had befallen the Ortis family. Elysia, now seventeen, Kori, now twenty one, and Larkin, now seven had been told by their parents that things were going to be a little hard for a few months. Their business had been hacked and their funding had been withdrawn for safety reasons in case it got stolen. So Elysia promised she would get a part time job to assist with the house, along with caring for Larkin while the parents tried to take care of everything else. At this point, Kori had just been accepted into a high end job, and was to be moving halfway across the world to get into employment that way. When asked if she could help out with the home while everything got fixed, Kori suddenly exploded. She said she wanted nothing more to do with the family, and shortly afterwards packed her bags and left without another word. She didn't even leave a note for their parents, so it fell to Elysia to tell them. 
Over the next year, on top of working hard to help out at a fast food restaurant, and caring for her little brother, Elysia had constantly tried to contact her sister to ask why she did what she did, until one fateful day she called and the number was no longer in service. There was no other way of contacting her as her email addresses had all been sending her failed delivery reports as well, and she left no address to where she would be living in the future. They had officially lost all contact.
This made Elysia fall into a slight depression. She continued trying to do what she could to help her mother and father, until one day when they came home overjoyed that the business was back on track. They gave Elysia a large portion of the money she had helped them out with, and even offered to help her out with moving into her own apartment when she finished school.
Fast forward a few years and Elysia was back to her old self. Bubbly and energetic. Her grades were back up and she had completed a year of childcare at further education - her chosen career choice. She found she had a nack for looking after kids, and wanted to pursue that dream of making sure that they were well looked after. She moved out just before her second year, and found a stable part time job at a care centre for experience while she was studying, and made sure to keep in contact with her parents and brother. She didnt live too far away from them afer all; only a couple of towns over so she could get to college and work easier. 
Presently, Elysia works ful time as a childminder, and successfully completed her third year of education in that subject almost a year and a half ago. she doesn't regret trying to get into a better paying job, as she is happy and comfortable. She only hopes that one day her sister will come to her senses and try to get back into contact with the family.

FUN FACTS
Elysia is a comic cook geek, and abslutely loves the Marvel universe, particularly the X-men series. 
Her right eye is the slightest shade lighter than her left eye, but it is hardly noticeable.
Alongside her childminding, Elysia does get some commissions for drawings, both tradtional and digital.
Surprisingly, the children she looks after love seeing her electricity abilities. They are entranced by how the energy can change colours.
Elysia goes through a morning ritual every day to ensure her powers are in check and completely harmless whenever she is around children.
