Amber stands approximately 3 feet and 6 inches tall.  She is of average build with orange fur, peach skin, and brown eyes.  Her back quills are styled like Amy Rose's, while her bangs are parted down the middle and pushed to either side in a "curtain" style.

Her typical attire consists of a blue top with the sleeves rolled up, brown fingerless gloves, light blue denim capris with a matching denim vest, blue socks, and brown shoes.  When traveling, she wears a brown fanny pack that contains her wallet, smartphone, 3DS, and a specialized pocket computer called a RoboDex, which she invented.  Her keys are attached to the main zipper by a die-cast keychain figurine of Robo from Chrono Trigger.

Personality:
Amber is pretty much your typical nerdy scientist who enjoys tinkering with technology, as well as playing classic video games and watching science-fiction shows.  Her biggest fascination is with artificially-intelligent machines, and that fascination increases the more lifelike they act.  She believes technology can, and should, be used for good, and that sentient robots are only dangerous if heavily mistreated or initially programmed for evil.

History
Amber was born in Westopolis to automotive engineer Dan Lucia and Westopolis Police Department Homicide Detective Janet Lucia.  She showed an interest in tinkering with machines as early as her tween years, when she would hack various electronic toys she had outgrown or become bored with, doing things like turning an extra Generation 1 Transformers Blaster figure into a digital audio player that was still able to transform and adapting an RC car to function autonomously.  As she grew, her gadget hacking and programming prowess increased to the point of her easily gaining admission to Westopolis Institute of Technology almost immediately after graduating from high school.  After receiving a Ph. D. in Computer Science and Robotics, she went on to become an independent engineer, designing tech for both civilian and military use.  Her adult life went well until her Computer Science professor, Hiroki Mitsuda, was murdered, and his crowning achievement, an android named Rocky, was stolen.  Her own mother had been assigned to investigate the homicide, but when she came close to solving the case, she was convinced to undergo a hernia repair surgery that left her incapacitated and unable to continue the investigation.  Before her tragic injury, Janet had stumbled upon a mysterious organization called Machina, which seemed to have a connection to Professor Mitsuda's death and the disappearance of his robot.  Amber decided to take matters into her own hands and gather information on this shadowy group, eventually digging herself into a proverbial rabbit hole of conspiracies and conspiracy theories.  She continued her work as an independent engineer, but also began running a blog that sought to expose Machina's activities to the general public.  This blog earned her a reputation as a bit of a conspiracy theorist.
