"Chicken soup," Dem told her and placed a steaming bowl of it on the table. "Careful, it's hot."

Viola looked at it. "How did that animal become a liquid?"

"You put the animal inside a tall, cooking pot, add water, vegetables, spices," Dem explained. "Then, you let it cook for a couple of hours. The liquid you get is the soup and the cooked animal is often took out and eaten separetely."

"Soup. Yes, water was an ingredient and still composes most of it, but it's different."

It wasn't long before it was just the right kind of warmth to be eaten without burning one's tongue.
