Pandemoniun (Pt. 1)

As it was meant only as a greeting, the soldier doesn't say anything else.

"I dunno. I never got very close to them."

"oh.." willow then continued walking home. "Well it's time to see what these little things can do.."

This time, Autumn was not at home yet and neither was Lotus.

Ris puts on her travelling gear, which really was just a belt and a satchel in addition to her regular clothes.

"Weird. They should be here" Recin had all his travelling gear at his place so he just sighed.

After a couple of minutes, both of them got home. "I can't believe you did that!" Autumn argued with her. "Why didn't you tell us first?"

"There's also been a dragon sighting."

"What did she do?" "Really!?!?* His wars perked up

"She asked a guard off-duty some very questionable things."

"Yeah. A fire dragon; no idea how it got here."

"oh great. Why would you do that?" "Certainly had to been brought here. Fire dragons are not native in hell. "

"I was curious; I didn't mean to sound rude."

"Well, they are native to Tartarus."

"well you shouldn't have been" "hmm....but not here"

Lotus just looked down. "I'm sorry."

"We should head out. Already spent too much time talking."

"it's okay. Just don't do it again" "there's such thing as too much time. "

"I won't; I promise."

Ris sighed and folded her arms. "Do you always get so easily distracted during field work?"

"thanks" "well usually I don't have a hot girl next to me"

"Can I come ever to a friend?"

"No, young lady," Autumn told her. "You'll stay here, grounded, until you learn your lesson."

Ris blushed. "Maybe the wo of us should have some time to ourselves to get the distractions out of our minds, no?"

"yes. " Recin blushed way too hard all of a sudden. "Y-yeah..."

Autumn folded his arms, watching as she'd rather listen to her mum than her dad.

"Now she's not gonna learn her lesson."

Ris and Recin give in to each other. Hopefully, with his distractions out of the way, Recin will be able to concentrate on the number one reason he was here.

"she will. It's an innocent mistake. Just please don't do it again or there will be punishments" recin smiled as he started walking

Without hearing what Autumn had to say, Lotus leaves. "She should have stayed home as punishment."

And so begun their trek. 

Unlike tradtitional, by-the-book examples of Hell's landscape, the region they were now in was predominantly arid, dry and rocky, quite the change from autumn-shaded grass and trees up north in Hell's capital.

There really wasn't anything akin to a Sun to fry them, but it was still quite hot just from the ground and air itself. Bringing a lot of water was a lot more important than heavy tools or weapons.

"Been too long since I went on a trip through here."

"well I've never been a parent" "this is exciting!!!' recin looked like a little kid in a toy store

"Neither have I, but that's what my parents did when I misbehaved."

Two soon came across a clearing with a small water rezervoir and a sleeping dragon, it was curled into a ball, almosz like a cat.

"And that's not even the same dragon," Ris noted silently. "This one's crimson; the sightings talk of a bigger, scarlet one."

To anyone not versed in colours, these could sound like synonyms of red.

"okay. Maybe next time" ,"what?"

"I just the best for her, you know?"

"The dragon sighed was a different shade of red than the one that's here now," Ris explained, still talking silently as to not wake it up. "Which means there's more than one of them."

"sorry." "That's great!!!" Recin whispered. He took out a book he had and started sketching the dragon.

"How was your day?"

The dragon breathed a little puff of smoke when it snored. "So, how's this for a field trip? Ever seen a dragon up close before?"
