Pandemoniun (Pt. 1)

"Given the circumstances, however, we'll have to share a bed," Autumn said, looking at Willow. "Do you mind?"

Eighteen. That hit the bear for 4 points of damage, bringing it down to 28. Luckily for Viola, it did not attack her character, only increaaing it's armour by 30% again, but the effect didn't go higher than 50%.

All in all, it wasted a turn and now Viola had one more opportunity to get some damage in.

"not at all. " Willow smiled. "Why does it always lift it's defence. !!!" She rolled.

"Really?" Autumn asked.

"To keep you from damage it."

She rolled a perfect twenty, doing 4 points of damage, bringing it down to 28 hit points.

Then, the bear rolled a perfect twenty and hit her for 5, leaving her with just sixteen hit points.

"You're still gonna win this."

"yeah really" "I hope I do! Its so hard!" She rooled

Autumn smiled at her and then laid down on the big bed. A smaller bed, meant for Lotus, was at the other side of the room.

Ten. 2 damage done, 26 left.

The bear used its claws, but because it was a low roll of just two, it only did a single point of damage, leaving her with 15.

Willow laid on the floor. "You sure I'll beat this bear?" Viola looked at the dice before rolling

"Why do you prefer the floor?" Autumn asked.

"Yeah, I'm sure."

Another average roll doing 3 points, brinding the beast down to 23.

The bear attacked with claws and did a good roll, leaving Viola's character with just 12 hit points.

It forgot to boost its defences, however, so damaging it should now be easier.

"because where I was trapped it felt like I was in a floor" "longest fight ever!" She rolled

"But you're not trapped anymore, are you?"

Twenty. This did 10 damage to the beast, bringing it to just 13 hit points, with the bear missing its attack entirely.

"See? Luck is on your side."

"yeah.." "maybe" she rolled

Autumn just tapped on the bed.

Thirteen. This brought the beast to its last 8 hit points. The bear atacked with many swipes in succession, but because the roll was fairly average, only did 3 damage.

"Stressing, isn't it?"

"fine...I'll sleep on the bed.." willow got up and went to a side of the bed. "yeah it is! How am I supposed to fight others if I am having trouble with a bear!" Viola threw the dice.

Autumn covered her with a blanket. "Good night." 

"umm... are you gonna tell me a bedtime story?" Lotus asked. "Gramps always told me one before bed..."

Nineteen. This did 6 points of damage to the bear, leaving him with just two.

The bear tried to save himself by using the defensive spell again.

"You start out weak and get stronger as time passes."

"hmm I know one! Come here" "hope I level up after this"

Lotus sat at floor next to Willow's side of the bed.

One final attack with a roll of fourteen.

Ding! Level-up, hit points restored and increased to 30. Viola can now pick a perk.

Willow smiled. "Once upon a time....The end. " Then willow then went under her covers to go to sleep. "Finally!! A perk to pick!"

Lotus was very disappointed, but went to sleep as well. Maybe there was a lesson to be learned from this.

In her dream, she was in Lee's house once more.

The perks were plentiful, including several that just increased a single stat like Glacier (+50% Hit Points, -33% Damage), but the one she probably wanted was Lone Wolf (+50% Damage when alone in a party)

"I'm here again..." "Actually I don't want the lone wolf one. I have a Wendigo after all. "

"I had a feeling you wanted to talk."

"So, which one will it be?"

"man..I have a bad feeling about this place where all the kitsunes are.." "can you name them all?"

"Why? Is it not what you thought it would be?"

"Reaper allows you to instantly kill anything below 10% not including bosses or unique creatures. Scholar increases the amount of experience you gain by 33%. Berserk increases your damage by percentage of missing health, capped at 80%. Glacier increased your hitpoints by 50%, but deceases your damage by 50%. Glass increases your damage by 50%, but decreases your hitpoints by 50%. Party Animal increases your damage by 25% for each ally you have in a battle, up to a maximum of 50%. Vampire decreases your damage by 30%, but makes 20% of your damage come back as health to heal you. Those and Lone Wold are the only ones you can choose at your level."

"there is this conculir there that is a complete heartless jerk! She wanted to kill the saved kitsune and put the girl up for adoption while erasing her memory! " "I'll choose the scholar one!"

"I'm restoring their memories, a bunch at a time as there's only so much I can put in one dream," she says. "It'll take at least a month until they are back to how they once were. I wish there was more that I could do."

"Probably the best choice for your first perk," Legion told her. "With it, you'll level up faster and earn even more perks."

"no you've done good enough" "that's the idea" she smiled

"You know, I can add whatever you want to a dream," Lee told her. "All I need is an idea of what."

"One square and you're in the port," Legion tells her. "Do you plan to steal the boat like last time?"
