Pandemoniun (Pt. 1)

"You should disguise yourself as well," he said. "Sorry that I kept you in the dark."

"You know how I told you about my condition?" Legion started. "How my soul is kept within these robes?"

"it's fine" Willow said getting the guards clothes. "Yeah"

Autumn wanted to say that he meant it, but decided not to. "He's knocked out cold," he said. "Let's get this show on the road."

"My body is slowly dying," Legion confessed. "I take medicine daily to slow the process down, but it'll still happen."

"yes" "Well duh... Everyone's body is slowly dying."

Autumn had no idea where to find the councillors, so he followed some of the soldiers upstairs.

"I mean, faster than usual," he says. "In just a couple of years, you... you may not recognise me."

"what do we do when we find them?" "What do you mean by that?"

"Ask questions." And sure enough, they found offices belonging to each council member.

"My body will be a rotten, decomposing mess," he said. "That's what I meant by dying."

"that was easy" "well if that happens I'll make sure to give you some extra love! "

But they guarded by soldiers in different uniforms. "Well, dang."

Legion smiled. "I just thought it would be right to tell you what will happen if I don't find a way to reverse what I've done to myseld."

"i take what I said earlier back" "we all have our time. Plus the best things never last forever. If you lasted forever..Then you're not good. " Viola smiled more.

The guards sneered at Autumn as he approached. They did not recognise his face and remembering faces of their compatriots was part of their training.

And so, they start asking questions. "List your name and rank," one of them said in a booming voice.

Legion smiled. "Well, people do say life without struggle would be meaningless."

"willow, private" "yeah. You just need to think on the food side"

Autumn wanted to list his name and rank too, but from the looks they gave at Willow, it was obvious it didn't work.

Guns were pointing at them from every side, even though none of them heard more soldiers arrive. Short-range telepathy and teleportation were likely.

"This is as far as you'll go," one of the elite guards said. "The Councillor of Armed Forces, Black Orchid, will decide what to do with you."

So, in a way, they were getting what they wanted.

Legion smiled; she always managed to brighten up his mood.

"good. Because that's exactly who we wanted to talk to.." willow sat down not scared of he guns. "There's that smile I wanted!"

And to the surprise of probably no one, Black Orchid was none other than the councillor they met yesterday.

"Well, well, well," she said with a smirk. "What do we have here?"

Legion gave her a hug. "Thanks."

"what did you do to them!? I know you kidnapped them all!!" Willow said. She sounded sad and worried more then angry. "You're welcome!" Viola hugged back tightly.

"The unnamed were taken to a place where they'll do no harm and no harm will be done to them. Only heavy sedatives could stop their screaming," she explained. "Maple was found out to be the Maple that murdered two of his kin all those years ago and escaped when the day of his execution was the same as the day the hunters arrived."

"Wanna watch a movie or play a game?"

"where is the kid....." Willow was now sounding more pissed. "I want to play a game!"

"Up for adoption," Orchid told her. "She'll have the time spent with him and you erased from her memory, however. No one wants a broken cutie."

"YOU DID WHAT!!!!!!!!!" willow tried to attack. "YOU MONSTER YOU MONSTER!!!! "

Orchid's eyes glowed briefly and Willow's muscles seized up, unable to be moved. Save for the ones required for living and speaking, of course.

"Now, now, we don't want you to get all worked up, now do we?" Orchid leaned in. "After all, this is the best for the child, as well as for those lost souls locked up in-" Instead of finished, the kitsune just laughed.

"We're... we're a couple," Autumn blurted out. "We'll adopt her. Please, just don't harm her."

Legion led her to the gameroom and left her there to have a look around while he went for snacks.

"i would adopt her...Too. but where are the other kitsunes. " "Back to this place again"

"Does it matter?" Orchid asked. "They're safe, warm and very much alive." The spell she casted on Willow was fading away.

Legion came back with her favourites – chocolate bars and crisps.

"it matters to me." Wendigo ran to him. "the chips!!"

"It doesn't to me."

"You liked them so much last time, so I thought about bringing more."
