Even the smallest of things can make the biggest of changes." "Really? I wish I knew what I played. I always just...Zone out when it happens."

"That's... that's not what I was hoping for. I'm sorry."

"Clever you." And at point, Azzar stepped in.

"Supposedly, the instrument is tucked away in your fur."

"Hunters came and killed..Not just kitsunes but all the other magical creatures...It's horrible. " "Heh I try to not be boring. Plus I like the butterfly effect. It's such a cool idea. Oh hey azzar! It worked! The portal won't be on this time!" Wendigo took out the flute. "Hmmm"

"But magical creatures were half the reason the forest existed," Lee said. "Why would anyone hurt, let alone kill them?"

"We should go," Azzar said. "There's nothing more for us to do."

"That's the one I meant," Legion replied. "You do know about it, right?"

"I'm still not sure..No one truly knows..Just theories." "Yep! Does anyone know where recin is?" "Well yeah I know about it. I always feel it on my fur. But the voice said I need to have one. "

"Do you need help?" Lee looked as if she was genuinely concerned about her. She even made her current guise look smaller and younger than Willow.

"Either the library or the game room. Normally, I'd walk there, but because you can use portals-"

Azzar growled.

"Can I see it, please?"

Willow sighed. "I don't know what could help..." She was close to crying. "But exercise is good too you know. Using portals will make you fat." Wendigo handed the flute to him.

Lee didn't say anything and just gave Willow a hug. That was what she thought she needed more than anything else.

"Voidlings cannot get fat," Azzar noted. "We do not eat or build up fat."

"But fat is happy memories," The devil argued. "And just how can you go without eating whilst still requiring sleep?"

Legion had a good look at it and then handed it back to her. "Looks handmade, quality work, too. Not sure what it's made out of, though."

Willow didn't feel that much better. "Hmmm that's a good question but are you really going to question magic like that?" "I think I made it but maybe when I was sleeping"

"Four runes, one in every direction near the end of the forest. Through them, I'll be able to restore the forest."

"It's one of my last remnants of humanity," Azzar admitted. "I could have parted with it the same way I parted with hunger and thirst, but unlike the two, this was my choice to make."

"Ooh, interesting," Legion mumbled. "It looks like bone, but it has a crystalic feel to it."

"you can do that?" "Exactly what happened that turned you from a normal person to a squid?" "It's pretty hard to break. I've dropped it many times by accident and not even a crack"

"Yes. Maybe if we find others that were trapped like you, we can restore them."

Azzar was silent for a while. "Curiosity, bad life cboices and becoming a servant to a voidling. My newest master saved me from the fate of becoming yet another mindless slave.

"Let me reiterate – others that may have gotten themselves into the same predicament you were im just a while ago. I say chances are high that some of them may have taken it as a last resort."

"That's saddening," Azzar continued. "I already had a portion of my life behind me before I became... this."

Legion laughed as well. "I know, but does the song itself do anything?"

"T-that's okay," Azzar said. "You don't have to continue if you don't want to."

"Draw the runes and I'll do the rest." As she turned around, a scar, similiar to the one under her eye, could be seen running across her side in a vertical line.

"I mean, if you want to talk about it, we're here for you," Azzar said. "Sooner or later, you'll have to."

Legion cleared his throat. "Dearest wendigo spirit, do the songs serve a purpose?"

"how did you get those scars..?" "No..I don't I will ever talk about it..." "Yes they do..." Wendigo said in a lower voice.."

"I got into a lot of fights when I was younger." Lee wasn't used to talking about them. Usually, when she donned a guise, they weren't present.

"And what purpose would that be, honourable guest?"

"I dint even remember my family. It was so long ago and they never truly had any impact.." "I don't think you would want to hear it..." "Do not use flattery on me. I do not care. But these songs I play I do care. They are of great importance that I play them but the reason I'm afraid I will not say. I'm sure there are books that can explain it but I will not."
