The girl motioned them to follow her. "Pa builds them, gives them out to travellers."

Lillith and Liela followed closely behind. "Do you have purple ones?"

The other end of the floating island was a small house. Odd, wing-like contraptions were laid on the ground right next to the house.

"Are those the gliders?"

[Crimson Skies]

"Yep. You put them on your back and you glide from one island to another!"

[Dogy9978]

"Cool. How much for one?"

[Crimson Skies]

"Basic one is free, but upgrades cost gold," the little girl explained. "Just wait here, I'll go get pa." The little girl then rushed inside the house.

"Is this really neccessary?" Ayah asked. "I mean, most of us can already fly, so what's the point?"

[Dogy9978]

"I can't fly and I don't want to be hanging on to you guys all the time for transportation." Lillith looked at Ayah

"Oh, so you do have a heart," Ayah said. "Because so far, I was expendable and absolutely useless."

[Dogy9978]

"Someone sounds Salty. How about instead of chilling in the background you actually fight or do something. And yes I do have a heart. It's right here!" Lillith pointed at the heart shaped fur on her chest. "It's way better looking than the gross flesh one you have."

[Crimson Skies]

"I'm a thief, you numbnut," Ayah defended herself. "And I have no fancy magic or skills you have. Me chilling in the background is what I'm supposed to be doing. If anyone we've met had anything worth nabbing, I would have taken it."

Lillith walked closer to Ayah."You know what?! Why don't you stick your beak up your-" Liela got between them."Ok ladies both of you need to calm down. This is not how we resolve problems and it's certainly not how you should be acting. We all have our roles that are for specific things. "

Ayah went silent.

The group waited for about an hour, but the girl did not come back. Something wasn't right.

Ivona sniffed in the direction of the house. "I smell an ambush."

[Dogy9978]

Lillith looked at Ivona. "You can smell stuff like that?!" "Doesn't matter if she can or not. Something's wrong. She should of came already. Let's go find out if something happened." Liela started walking to the house.

[Crimson Skies]

Ivona rolled her eyes; did Lillith had to take everything so literally? All she wanted to say was that something fishy was going on.

Crying could be heard coming from the inside as Liela approached it.

"That's never a good sound." Lillith said following Liela inside.

They found the girl crying next to her dead father. There were strangle lines around his neck.

Liela immediately went to the girl's side. "Hey hey...don't cry... you have to be a strong little girl..." Liela tried to comfort the her. Lillith was looking at the body. "This looked like it was done by force. Did you find him like this? Was there someone else in the house before?" Lillith wanted to find a solution to the problem not caring about comforting the girl first.

"y-yes," she girl sobbed. "why would anyone do this to dad?"

[Dogy9978]

"I don't know why someone would do this to your dad...yet. Is there anything here that is missing? Like a valuable. Or maybe do you know someone who disliked your father?"

[Crimson Skies]

"No, no. My dad was an inventor. He dreamed that everyone would be able to fly, not just the rich."

[Dogy9978]

"Than why would someone kill an inventor?" "Maybe they stole some blueprints for something?"

[Crimson Skies]

"To get between islands, you would either use an expensive airship service or use my father's cheaper alternative."

[Dogy9978]

"Guess the competition didn't like losing business. Man, the things people will do for money."

[Crimson Skies]

"I'm not asking for revenge; I don't want to lower myself to that level," the girl said. "But please, I beg you, bring justice to the ones that did this."
