Board Games (Pt. 1)

[Crimson Skies]

So you did it, rid the house of the evil, found out who killed that poor girl.

An insignificant speck of light on an otherwise pitch black canvas that is the world. But at least you had some fun, plundered, murdered, made a few friends along the way, seen things and sustained injuries that would cripple and terrify any other mortal.

And that was only three days.

The phone starts ringing, an unknown number calling you in the morning.

Liela was sleeping on her bed. She needed that rest from her previous adventures that had happened. Though things were calm now, that was soon about to change. Lillith happened to be there watching Liela sleep. She picked up the phone." Hello? Who's calling?"

[Crimson Skies]

"H-hello? Hello?" the voice in the phone said. "I've finally set up the prices and would have called sooner, if there wasn't a problem. Just a slight one, mind you. Word travelled like wildfire; would y-you mind if you had housemates, eh, other tenants living in the mansion with you?"

[Dogy9978]

Lillith thought about what was said. (More people... More souls)" Why that would be perfectly fine. Liela would love to see some new faces."

[Crimson Skies]

"Oh, so it's fine then?" the voice asked. "If so, could you, uh, wake her up? I think it'll be better if she hears the prices from me."

[Dogy9978]

"Sure give me a moment" Lillith got closer to Liela."VOLTRAIRE'S BACK RUN RUN RUN" "WHAT " Liela jolted up and fell out if bed. Lillith started to laugh. Liela was going to say something but Lillith gave her the phone. "What... Ugh h-hello?"

[Crimson Skies]

"Ah, Ms. Liela," the voice said. "A single month will cost four hundred, plus another one hundred for water, eletricity and heat. You'll also be sharing the mansion with two more tenants."

[Dogy9978]

" So there is going to be more than just me? Well I guess that's OK. As for the pay I can afford." "See no probs"

[Crimson Skies]

"Great !" the voice exclaimed. "I'll be waiting for the two of you right outside the mansion."

[Dogy9978]

"Alright be there as soon as I can." Then Liela hung up."It's way to early for this. " Liela put her clothes on. Her and Lillith packed up  what they needed and walked to the mansion.

The hawk was waiting outside and so were the two other tenants. One was a mouse in a typical school uniform and the other was a hawk who only wore black. Both of them were girls.

" Sorry for making you guys wait." Lillith walked behind Liela keeping a close eye to he two other people.

[Crimson Skies]

"Ah, you're finally here," the hawk explained. "Would you like me to introduce you you?" Both of the girls shared a tiny detail; a single streak of their hair was a different colour than the rest.

The female hawk, who could care less about the two of them and wanted to return back to her room, had a white streak to contrast with her jet black hair.

The schoolgirl, on other hand, was genuinely happy to see them, with a kind smile on her face. Her odd coloured streak was yellow and easily noticeable amongst the waves of brown.

"Sure you can introduce us to them. I don't think we would mind that much. I'd also like to know them aswell." Liela was giving a smile back to the school girl while Lillith was grinning to the hawk.

[Crimson Skies]

"This young lady is Ivona," the hawk introduced her to them. "Ivona, this is Liela and Lillith." The schoolgirl jumped to them, grinning from one cheek to the other.

"Oh, new housemates and they're both girls!" the school girl exclaimed. "This is so exciting! We're gonna have so much fun on girls-only sleepovers!" 

The female hawk did not share that enthusiasm and responded to Lililth's grin by sticking out her tongue and showing her a rude claw gesture.

"Bite me, shorty." That should get Lillith off of her.

"And this charming young lass is Ayah," the hawk looked at the rude, younger hawk. "Ayah, these will be your new housemates." The hawk in black crossed her arns.

"I don't care." She said flatly.

[Dogy9978]

"Bitting you is not the only thing I'll do to you. Heh" "Well it is nice to meet of you two. I hope we all get along in our own unique ways. Even if one isn't as excited like the other."

[Crimson Skies]

"I woke up earlier just to meet you," the female hawk said. "I expected nothing and was still disappointed." The female hawk then went inside the mansion.

"Oh, don't worry about her," the schoolgirl said. "She's a hard cookie to get through, but once you get to know her..." She's still just as bad, but through a few cracks of her hard shall, kindness leaks out evey once in a while and while she's often very detached, she does indeed care.

"Oh and one more thing before I leave," the hawk said. "No rough-housing and no mysterious stains that take industrial-grade cleaning soap to clean. Ta ta!" The older hawk then left them alone.

(rough-housing = any fighting in general)

"I love how that girl hawk thinks I care about her insults but what's funny is that he still doesn't know what the stain was.HA!" " Hey I still don't know what it was but that doesn't matter now. Let's go tour room and get unpacking." Yep" Liela began to walk through the mansion until she made it to their room.

Funnily enough, their room was upstairs and just like lady bad luck would have it, it was the very room that had the stained bedsheets.

Lillith started to laugh." OH THIS IS AMAZING!" " No it is not. Soon as I get the chance km buying new ones." Liela started to unpack while Lillith was laying on the bed.

Much to Lillith's amazement however, the bedsheets were completely new, as whatever the previous ones were soaked with just wasn't washable even by said industrial-grade cleaning solution.

"You know the bed feels nice." "Really?" Liela continued to unpack."Yeah it's like the stains aren't even there." When Liela was done unpacking she was holding three books. She threw on at Lillith. "That one's yours and both of these are mine." "Hey don't throw Recin like that!" Lillith caught and held the book that belonged to her original master. It contained several spells and a surprise.

Perhaps this time, the Book of Dungeons will get the spotlight it deserves. After all, it was written to entertain, unlike the Book of Summons, which just made anyone with copy some sort of minion master or some sort of evil overlord type of guy.

The second book took the smart way by pretending it was a game of sorts.

Someone then decided to knock on the door

"We just moved her and we already have visitors." "Coming!" Liela went to the door and opened it.

It was Ivona, the schoolgirl. "Hi! I uh- heard that this was the only room that had a balcony," she said. "Would you mind if I-?"
