Robot Rising

Roboticizers. Cybernetic upgrades. Intelligent machines. 

Not even Eggman could take control of this situation. Nobody could. The only way to gain control is to fight. The natural world has almost become an ancient memory. It must be fought for if organic life forms ever want to dominate the planet again. This place will never be restored otherwise.

How did this all even happen? Sources are unclear. It's Mobian vs Machine now. Fight for survival, or become one of them...

It wasn't the brightest of days, nor was it the darkest,  but this needed to end. If it stayed any longer, who knows what could happen?

Then a cyan coloured hedgehog ran by, hiding behind a wall. The robots look, but then continued marching. He ran behind one and attacked it. The other robots were alerted, so he had to run off. He couldn't take them all one by one. He ran all the way to an abandoned house. He stayed there for quite a while.

Meanwhile, a silver robot seemed to be taking a stroll nearby the abandoned house. It almost didn't see threatening until it swiftly turned its head and fired a laser from its arm, instantly killing a butterfly which had not yet been disposed of. The hedgehog-shaped robot seemed to let out an amused laugh before continuing to walk, scouting the area in search of any hiding organics.

It stopped by the abandoned house. That looked like the perfect hiding spot for a cowardly bag of bones...

He saw it, but hid in the shadows, undetected. He ran out, being spotted, and went on the roof. He looked down and watched the robot. He ran off, but slipped and fell down.

It was the perfect opportunity to strike.

The robot grinned when seeing the hedgehog fall, darting towards it. It hadn't bumped into a clumsy organic lifeform such as this one, so considered this to be its lucky day

The robotic hedgehog placed a foot on the hedgehog's back, pointing it's charging laser to his head, ready to shoot.

"Heh heh," it spoke in an almost living tone. Clearly this robot wasn't as basic as the others, but still it seemed ready to kill.

Suddendly he teleported out. How? It was his speed chargers, able to speed out. He stood there, with his arms crossed. "You really think you could beat me so fast?" He said.

The machine looked confused for a moment, glancing around before locking eyes with its target.

"Uh..." was the initial reaction it had given, as if what just happened wasn't processing properly. But it quickly shook his head and looked angry, pointing its lasers at the hedgehog.

"I can beat you fast enough," it assured. "I'm just warming up, that's all!"

Oh, how untruthful those words were... This robot was not actually that experienced in battle. It was powerful enough to fight, but it didn't even know how to fight. Giving it a try was worth it, though. After all, now it was living in a world where robots were superior.

He shrugged. He smirked as well, but he as well wasn't that experienced either. He just pretended to ever know how to fight, but now is not pretending. He opened his arms wide. "You make the first move." He told the robot.

He was prepared for anything, even if it was life costing.

"Ooooh, really?" the machine responded, somewhat happy and grateful that it was given the chance to make the first movie. Its expression of joy quickly became one of evil as it grinned a sadistic grin. "Don't mind if I do!"

And with that, the robot fired its two arm lasers, aiming right at the hedgehog.

He dodged one, but got hit by the other. He shook it off, ran toward him and aimed for a punch. 

"Take this!"

"Um, no!" the hedgebot responded, diving to the floor in order to dodge the punch. Not like a punch would do too much damage anyway, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

But throwing itself to the floor probably wasn't it's smartest decision, since now it was lying front-first on the ground.

He zoomed back and picked him up. He punched him, but his hand got bruised. "Ow! Why is metal so in trend?!" He talked as he held his arm, while it was a time to strike.

"I dunno, maybe because leather robots can't function properly," the robot replied in a sarcastic tone, practically ignoring the punch. It grinned when seeing the hedgehog's pain before raising its hand - as a robot, it had pretty sharp metallic fingers. 

The robot got ready to strike, aiming at the hedgehog's injured arm before making its move. Hopefully a slash would do some real damage...

Sadly, he grabbed him again and this time, kicked him in the crotch. However, he damaged his leg, so running away was a terrible option.

He let go and walked back, checking his leg.

The 'bot had a questioning expression. "What... What even were you trying to gain from that?" it asked. "There's... There's nothing there, why would you even...?" Realizing that questioning the situation made it seem like a less threatening opponent, the mechanical hedgehog grunted.

"Urgh, never mind," he huffed, pointing a laser again. "Prepare to die!"

It began to feel as though killing this organic was pointless. Not something that it would regret, but something that it wouldn't be proud of. It's first true kill would be an average Mobian, it seemed. 

But choosing to spare him made it seemed too friendly, so it was ready to shoot once again.

Instead of dodging, fighting back, he grabbed his arms, put them down and tied them together. If he couldn't fight back, then he might as well try and stop him from fighting. 

"Well, seems good." It looked horrible, but it actually worked.

The machine 'blinked', seeing the situation it was in. "Uh-". It was almost speechless for a moment before it frowned. "...Okay, this isn't funny," it clarified. "You might want to consider untying me, organic, or I'll uh... Unleash my special attack!" 

That was the best threat it could give.

He chuckled. "Special attack? I doubt that." He told him. He already knew all the robots, he saw their designs flaws, so a special attack was a no no. 

"Nah, I mean, I can just tie you to the ground too?" He said, grabbing out more rope.

"Uh, no. No," the robot reacted, stepping back a few times to distance itself from the organic. "Why don't you just stay there? Personal space and all that, heh heh."

He crossed his arms, looking at him. "So uh, your life decisions led to here." He joked. He didn't know what to do. Bring it back, leave it there, or else.

He really was stuck in a situation that sucked.

"Pfft, life decisions..." the machine giggled to itself. It just found the phrase amusing - it wasn't something associated with robots most of the time.

But it knew it had to get out of this situation somehow. "...Maybe you should make the best life decision and let me go! How does that sound? Good? Good! Alright, buddy, chop-chop, get to work and cut me loose."

"Oh I can't. Since I can't untie that and I can't cut it either, your stuck until someone can get you free." He chuckled. "No I'm not even joking." He went all serious. 

"Yeah, your stuck there...." He told. Maybe he shouldn't have had tied him up, then he'd need to set him free, or whatever.

"It's not that hard, come on!" the robot whined. "You started this so you're gonna finish it! Just... untie me, c'mon! Get some scissors if you have to!"

It clearly was not happy about this at all.

"Yeah I did start it and finish it, so I can't continue from that." He just received a call on his speed chargers. "On my way!" He said running off, but then running back. "Hold it." He said. 

"You're coming with me pal."
