Dark Intentions.

-It was a cold an quiet night, the landscape seemed peaceful, beings were busy settling in for the night. However one little town was about to be on the get a nasty surprise, in the sky heading towards them were two gun ships,  choppers of a paramilitary organization...simply know as the Horizon Reach Corporation, the infamous wealthy and well established corporation who had been responsible for many great achievements, but at the same time many dark underhand and inhumane projects. Known for covering their tracks this high ranking corporation was in the depths of testing, creating and deploying its latest project known simply as " Project evolution" the project was to create the best soldiers they could via the methods of experimentation, gene slicing and reprogrammed information, the end result would be the creation of super soldiers, the merged DNA of human and Mobian to create a soldier who superior any thing that most military or factions had, the attributes of a mobian with the strength and outlook of a human.

 However in order to create this neo troopers, H.R.C scientists needed new subjects from the world. Innocent beings captured and forced to under go the procedure, brutal experimentation in order to turn them into a Replicant soldier, their memory wiped away and restored with all the knowledge of a capable and ready soldier. These soldiers didn't even have names any more they were just more a less weapons and tools to be used when ever needed, disposable hardware in the eyes of those who created them, but created to be dangerous, highly trained , heavily armored, loyal and who followed orders with out question...or so they believed they would, Project Evolution started off well but took a grim turn during the first and second uprisings where a conjoining project was shut down due to unstable nature. Many dark secrets and events had happened, but all covered up.

These two gunships were transporting 2 teams of Replicant soldiers derived from Echo element. In total about 24 of them, all sitting quietly geared in the same clothing and armor as the one next to him. There was one who was in charge of this operation, Echo leader, the leader for each unit didn't have a number they were just called leader at the end of there designation. there voices used a changer so that each soldier sounded like the other one, there voices were distorted as if they were speaking through a radio all the time, this was to cover up who was who.- 

" Echo element our orders are simple..H.R.C has detected a small isolated town west of WPN that is the Wolf pack Nation...our orders are to secure 10 civilians from this town and neutralize the rest, once we have completed our primary objective we will move to this location..rally point 1 and wait for extraction via gunship hawk and gunship nomad, remember all personal other then the 10 we capture must be neutralized..no witnesses understood ?"

-All replicant troops nod their heads except for one, the unique Echo 508 who seemed to be looking out the back of the helicopter.-

" Echo 508 do you understand your orders!?"

" Oh yes sir..I understand."

"Good..team 1 and 2 prepare for drop once we are on the ground mission is a go."

" Echo leader what if we run across G.U.N forces?"

" If spotted and engage by G.U.N you are weapons free to shoot on sight."

-The two choppers circle around on the drop zone the heavy rotor blades cutting through the air making its distinct sound as the troops get ready to disembark , ropes drop out from the sides as the Replicant soldiers one by one repel down onto the ground, once all the troops were down, the two gunships left the area, the Replicant were now on their own till they finished their job.-

" All units..mission is a go..move out to destination zone and await further orders."

-The two squads began to move towards their location, there orders located and extract 10 personal, kill the rest and get out before any authorities or factions could intervene. Slowly through the dense forest the soldiers moved, searching left to right as the small green glow from there helmets visors  were displayed.

Liela was on a little vacation from everyone she knew. She requested a little alone time and she was given was a week but that was more than enough time for her. Liela decided to visit a little town that was pretty separate from everything. She needed to get away from all the noise of station square. Liela walked along the road of the small town. Looking at the little stores wondering if there were any thing she could buy to take home. "If only station square was this quite." 

((Dark as Sin. I'd expect no less from you Mr. Marine. I hope you don't mind the Yakuza references.))

Kamille couldn't sleep. This would be the time of night she'd warm up a glass of milk and coco, but it seemed the wolves couldn't digest chocolate or caffeine. Without any coffee, tea, or coco Kamille was left with a mug of lukewarm well water. In the morning she’d begin negotiations the village elder.

One of the villages in the western regions of Wolf Pack Nation had unearthed a plunder room containing silver moonstone staff and possible Gaia relic. Kamille was expected by her corporate backer to negotiate an exchange of the artifact. Finding this particular village had been difficult. GPS signal was spotty and the only group running motor vehicles out here was the the Legion. With limited funds, she spent the trip following merchants and hunters to her destination.

Now that she’d arrived she’d taken up residence in the loft of a villager’s thatched roof hut. There were few things she wouldn't give for a Poppo Mart. There she could find electricity, air conditioning, and racks full of manga and prepackaged snack cakes.

The Wolf Pack were surprisingly friendly to the sheep, despite their, dare she say feral appearance compared to other Mobian species. She was surprised mobians could still live like this. It could be a dangerous land. Despite harassment from the Legionnaires and a shaky truce with their feline neighbors the Wolf Pack had become its dominant species. There was clearly much she had to learn about the world outside a Federation suburb.

The pounding sound of the swirling rotors rose her from her reflection. She pressed her ear to the gaps in the roof. “It must be a Legion carrier.” She assumed, though she didn’t know anyone outside GUN using helicopters. “I didn’t want to have to test myself against those Cyborgs, but I have no choice.”

She hadn't fully undressed from the day’s activities, so donning her armor was a fairly swift process. She prayed the ancient armor could stop Legion laserfire and affixed her scabbard to her belt. Out to the streets she ran hoping to catch up with the locals.

Caen walked along the dirt path, his feet kicking up small clouds of dust as he walked. It was dark, almost pitch black, in fact, if it wasn't for the moon that glowed overhead, somewhat lighting Caen's way. He held up an arm, using his pyrokinesis to throw out a meagre light in the darkness. 

"I can't believe this," Caen muttered, as he scanned the horizon "not only do they decide to do the filming in the middle of nowhere, but they couldn't even sort out the freakin' accommodation!" He growled, picking up a stone and throwing it as far as he could, grunting as he released it, watching it bounce along the ground slightly "I am so not working with these people, again, can't trust them as far as I could throw them."


In the darkness, he could make out a small amount of light, just on the horizon. A village, by Caen's guess. He hoped that there would be some form of inn, or something of that ilk. He grinned "finally, a place to sleep, and more importantly, eat," Caen said to himself in a pretty matter-of-fact manner. He picked up the pace, meaning he wasn't strolling, but more walking briskly. 


His spines blew in the wind as a group of helicopters flew overhead, towards the village. He wondered what helicopters were doing flying in such dark conditions. It was most definitely odd, considering it had no lights on it, save for the cockpit, most likely the controls. Then, they suddenly stopped, and ropes began to descend from the sides, and people dressed in the same uniform slipped down them. Caen's eyes widened, and he muttered to himself "that can't be good."


Caen began to run, trying to get to the village as fast as he could. From what he knew, people descending into isolated villages from helicopters generally wasn't a good sign of things to come. He held his hand in front of him, much like a torch.

-Through the shadows of the dark woods, two replicant units move out into the open, taking position at a hill top overlooking the town below, from what they could see the town was settling down, most had gone to bed at this stage with a few still awake and checking out the sights and sounds, their operation had be carried out as quiet as possible, get in get who they came for and be gone before any faction decided to turn up. Replicant soldiers line the hill in a prone position.

Echo leader scans the town, with the use of a state of the art satellite, they could get real time response from the command element. Command was about issue them there direct orders.- 

" All teams this is replicant command Sky 3 has picked up little activity in the vicinity, mission is continued as normal, be advised that silence weapons are to be fitted before  entering the town, Team 1 is to enter from the East, Team 2 you are to enter from the west, sweep the complexes and neutralize all personal except the 10 needed for extraction. If you encounter hostile threats you are clear to engage, Gunship Hawk and Nomad are on stand by to provide air support. However if the situation turns back all units are to fall back to rally point 1 for extraction. All units move in."


" Copy that command, alright Echo element check your gear, make sure your silences are on and move out, Echo 12 you are squad leader for team 2. Squad ready up."


" Echo 12 ready , Echo 9 ready , Echo 76 ready , Echo 99 ready , Echo 0 ready , Echo 17 ready , Echo 4 Ready, Echo 917 ready, Echo 508 ready , Echo 813 ready" 

-And thus the two teams move in under the cover of darkness, weapons drawn and ready to do what they came to do, along the way Echo 508 began to watch the terrain around him, he was interested to see the night sky but was quickly shoved by another replicant to keep him moving.-

Liela had a dissatisfied face on her. She wasn't able to go to most of the stores because they all seemed to close at the same time. Most of the town's people had went to bed except for the some that were walking along the streets, probably walking home. Liela decided to walk around the town. She didn't exactly rent a hut for her to stay, not like she was tired anyway. She was pretty awake and bored.. So, she lays on the ground and looked up to the sky. Watching the stars and letting the time pass by. She did hear noises from the forest but assumed that it was just the wild animals wondering around the town.

-Replicant forces separate into its two distinct units, team one uses the darkness to advance to its east as the the west unit heads to their locations, once in position they waited as they watched the town, now having clear lanes of fire from two sides, they could catch any one in a dangerous cross fire, if they were attacked, the order was given as both teams begin a slow advance towards the town, using the cover of darkness and there slow approach to make spotting them very difficult, they were now weapons hot and ready to engage, they were about to get their first tastes of what these troopers could do.-

"All elements be advised, Sky 3 has picked up multiple more signatures on the move in the area...confirmed possible hostile forces...primary ROE has changed...you are now weapons hot to shoot all on sight...use tranquilizer darts on marked personal..information being transferred to squad leaders hud...if the situation deems "unstable" you are clear to utilize your " EH" systems to deal with the threats. Replicant command out."

-The soldiers were hyper vigilant, meter by meter they closed in till they got with in some dense foliage that surrounded the outer rim of the town.- 

- All units hold position here till we establish the threat level...all forces secure your perimeter and stand by to move in on my go."

Liela saw a sheep run past her fast. Liela sat up and looked at the direction where it headed. "Man someone is in a hurry. What in the world could have made her be in a rush? Guess I'll never know." Liela was going to lay back down to the ground but her ear twitched. She heard footsteps coming from the forest. Very quiet footsteps. She stood up." Is anyone there? I can hear you." She looked at the forest but couldn't see anything. It was just too dark to see. So she decided to walk closer to find out what was there. She made herself intangible so nothing could touch her just in case there was a wild animal about to pounce on her.

-Silence fell, it seemed like the Replicant were just sitting there waiting for a unknown reason, perhaps they were using a tactic to strike confusion into their ranks, hidden and waiting...then suddenly with out a word, the tree line opens up brightly as gun fire pours down onto the town, from two different locations, tracers filled the sky as Replicant troops went full automatic, hand grenades were tossed into the vicinity as all hell broke loose, after about 1 min of gun fire, replicant troopers emerged from the woods lands moving into the towns, with speed and tactical maneuvers, with in a short space of time both teams managed to get inside the town, now they had to deal with fighting Replicant forces in the heart of the town after loosing the element to attack them before hand.

Room by room they went capturing and eliminating, any one who attempted to flee was gun down on sight.-

"Command we have entered the town, all teams neutralize civilians, team 1 continue with extraction protocol team 2 lay down suppression fire across, the the town, I want two lanes of sweeping fire, any one attempts to leave shoot on sight I repeat shoot on sight..keep your eyes open for possible hostile forces." 


" Command this is Echo 12, we have confirmed hostile forces in the area, repeat confirmed hostile forces in the area...all elements watch your sectors and prepare for ambushes." 

Liela saw the sheep attempt to tackle her on the ground but failed. Liela wasn't expecting that and let out a gasp. "Did you just call me Kid? How are you able to see what I really look like? ..." She saw as the sheep got up and ask her what she was, trying to phase a leather thing to her body. Liela looked confused for a moment. She didn't know how to answer that question and she didn't know why this Mobian wasn't scared like how other Mobians would be at this point. Liela backed away from the sheep a little. "Legion? What? I don't thi-" 

But before she could finish the sentence, tons of gunshots were heard. The sudden loud noise caught Liela off guard making her scream in fear for a moment. Then she looked back at the town. "Man that sounds like a massacre is happening over there!" She was about to go and run back to the town but she looked hesitant. Thinking about something. Then she shook her head and ran back to the town. 

She kept running until she found one of the troops shooting most and capturing some. "HEY STOP THAT!!!" Liela went in front of the troops. They started to shoot at her but the bullets just went right through. "That's not going to work on me. NOW LEAVE THESE MOBIANS ALONE! Or..." She put her hand up in the air summoning a ton of beams aimed at the troops. "You're going to have a bad time." She knew that doing good was something she wasn't allowed to do back at her home but she was not going to let this many innocent mobians die and get kidnapped. She patiently waited to see if the troop would back down or not.

Caen's breath smoked as he neared the village, still travelling at the same pace. He smiled, as he thought that had made it before his potential foes. Then, as if out of nowhere:

ratatatat

This noise sounded all throughout the forests that were close by to the village. The trees seemed to light up as a barrage of bullets rained down, much like hail. Acting quickly, Caen was wrapped in flames, before he moved his arms outwards, summoning a wall of flame to protect himself "heat wall!" He shouted, as the fiery barrier erupted from the ground. However, Caen would regret this brash decision very soon, as, not too far from him, he could hear a distinct sound:

Beep. Beep. Beep

He looked beside the wall, and confirmed his fears. A hand grenade had been tossed not too far from him. It went off with a loud bang, sending him skyward, before crashing back down with a thud. He skidded along the dirt, staining his coat and leaving some scrapes along his arms and legs. He stood up shakily, his ears ringing. He shook his head. The blast appeared to have brought him inside of the village, and the last of the gunfire was reflected by some type of stone structure. He waited until the ringing had subsided, holding his head. "Ugh... Why didn't I realise they would have freakin' grenades!"

Before he had a chance to calm down, troops began to storm the area, going into house after house, no doubt killing their occupants. A rifle of some kind was held towards Caen, by one of these troops. He didn't immediately shoot, though. Was he interested in him, in some way? Caen didn't give him a chance to find out. He drew his swords, holding one up towards his opponent "an ambush? In the middle of the night? Where's your honour?"

-Replicant forces had made contact with certain hostiles, however despite there expert close quarter fighting skills the wolf's possessed they were no match for Replicant units who with lighting speed disposed of them, fast and ruthless they hit house after house, room by room, while receiving vital information from Sky 3, but they did meet resistance, 4 Replicant soldiers were dealing with the Fox who seemed to be immune to conventional weapons fire, but being adaptive as they were created to be, Replicant forces call in for assistance via a specialized version of a Replicant called phase trooper, these highly advance and rare soldiers utilized, technology similar of origin to what Liela had, allow him to deal with her on a more even playing field.

Back inside the town, Replicant had come upon Caen, not sure whether he was a target to be captured or neutralized, after he drew his swords the Replicant trooper launched several dart like projectiles at him, it seem Caen had been marked for capture by the forces.

" All elements be advised we are detecting a gathering of unknown beings in a complex north of team 2 continue with mission objective. Team 1 your are to secure the town, Team 2 continue with primary objective...neutralize enemy defending units and secure assets for extraction...echo leader check in.

" Confirmed command orders received we are on the move clearing the vicinity out...wait what is that ARRRGH"

-The sword she used plunged straight through his back and out his front, Echo leader dropped to his knees before hitting the dirt with a heavy force, Kamille could now see that they were dealing with a paramilitary force, these were no legionnaires by any means, this was a different threat all together.-

" Echo leader check in......Echo leader what is your status....all units be advised we have lost contact with echo leader."

"Command this is Echo 508 should I investigate ?" 

"negative continue with mission...Echo 12 you are now squad leader until we can determine why Echo leader is not responding."


" Roger that Echo 12 taking control..all forces continue on as follows..status report on captured forces."


" Echo 12 this is Echo 17 we have captured 5 beings and are holding them in a secure location."


" Copy that...hold position and secure your area....prepare for any thing." 

Liela watched as a couple more troops came, most likely back up Liela thought. They looked slightly different from the others. Liela had a bad feeling about this but she stayed exactly were she was. Than the new troops started to shot her but bullets wasn't what was coming out of the guns, energy beams were. Liela saw this and barely had time to react. She tried her best to dodge all of them but one of their beams hit Liela right In the chest. She got flung into the air and landed on the ground with a loud thud. 

 She let out a very loud scream that could be heard by everyone. She had landed on her tail and seemed to have broken it. She laid there on the ground not moving so she couldn't feel the pain but the troops were coming to her to finish the job. She got up and grimaced. She tried her best to not show she was in pain. She summoned a tons of beams and threw them all at the troopers. Her face looked enraged. "YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!!!" 

Caen and this man both stood, unmoving on the battlefield unfolding before them. Caen shook his head "no answer. You clearly have no concept of honour. How shameful." However, as Caen spoke, the soldier decided to move, shooting about four rounds of some sort of dart. Caen barely had time to react, and jumped out of the way. He felt a sharp pain in his leg, and yelled out because of it. He looked down, and saw one of these darts sticking into him. He sheathed a sword, reached down and pulled it out. He held it up "what did you just put in me, you bastard?!"

Caen unsheathed the blade he was not holding again, jumping over the soldier, and kicking him before he could turn around. This gave him enough force to fall to the ground. Caen put one foot on the soldier's chest, preventing him from moving, and held a sword towards his throat. "Tell me what you have done this instant, or I swear I will execute you where you stand!... Or, rather, lie."

-Caen had been struck with a dart containing a hyper acting numb drug, the drug would cause most of his muscle structure to go numb, he would be awake during the whole thing but total loss of control over most of his body, while keeping the vital organs running. The soldier didn't respond, Replicant troops were programmed never to unveil plans or provide information to enemy opposition, instead the Replicant began to go for his pistol, it was clear reasoning was not working with them.

Over with Liela, Replicant troops demonstrated their hyper reflexes, able to avoid nearly all of the beams shot at them, it was as if they could see it before it happened, coming in from the back was a Phase Replicant soldier, his armor was glowing blue, as was the helmets eye pieces, he lunges his hand forward as a phase leash came out from it in her direction, seemed like she was not the only one with phase abilities.

 Down inside the town Replicant forces continue there relentless siege, busting down doors and no longer even shooting them, they would simply knock down the door and throw a grenade inside before moving onto the next, The Replicant soldiers at Skiri-Ki's location were just about to breach it, she had been marked for capture and extraction. One of the Replicant felt something nudge his face, or the side of his face covering helmet. With rapid and lighting inhumane reflex he knocked the pistol out of her hand, as he turned his assault rifle on her.-

" There is another one..load a dart take her in alive!" 

-Now she had to face off against a Replicant soldier head on, she was probably going to need back up to take him now, but not knowing what they were truly capable of it was hard to tell, but this much was clear, who ever these guys were they were doing some serious damage in a very short space of time.

Any civilians seen running into the streets were gunned down by Replicant soldiers with out remorse nor mercy, but Replicants were never programmed to think before acting, well not all of them. 

Echo 508 was moving towards the next hut when he spotted some one hiding in one of the shadows, he approaches it weapon draw ready to fire, upon getting closer he finds a female wolf cowering in a corner trying to get away from them. He moves in closer and closer, before stopping with in a meter of her, taking aim he points the weapon at her, but something was different...Echo 508 couldn't pull the trigger..a few seconds passed...and he just couldn't something, told him not to...Echo 508 lowers his weapon, giving her a small nod to run.... He turned around and left the wolf alone rejoining his unit, It seemed not all Replica were mindless weapon tools of the H.R.C

perhaps more sentient then they realized.-

Liela looked absolutely surprised that the troops being able to dodge her attacks. "W-WHAT! THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE! THERES NO WAY YOU ALL COULD HAVE DODGED ALL OF THAT!!!" Liela backed away. She knew she wasn't going to able to take them out if they kept dodging like that. She saw as the soldier that hit her before came. It looked like a leash had come out of his hands. Liela barely dodged it. She started to run away and took out her gunblade, charging it with energy. "I'm going to need help. Where in the world was that sheep again?" 

 Liela ran around the whole village looking for the sheep until she found her. Liela saw the sheep press a pistol at a troop but the troop quickly knocked it out and pointed a rifle at her. Liela knew she had to do something so she pointed her gun blade at the troop and it locked on to him. Then gun blade shot a powerful bolt of energy with speed. Liela ran to the soldier breathing heavy. She made herself tangible and got the blade part of her gunblade and started to stab him. These guys weren't playing any games and neither was her.
