Titanic discovery.

- Years and months seem to slip by as the world moved on time over taking and covering up a brutal war that once raged, What now lay among the grounds of the planet was nothing more then shattered remains , remnants of the past , haunting those who lived through it. Tales spoke of a Gargantuan war machine build to end wars through use of superior power and weapons, It was said these machines would be impenetrable to have weapons of the gods and said to bring any force to its knees, The first Titan was destroyed years back, but a second had been build by the now ceased UNAFI faction, Rumors spread of sightings of the great machine laying under foliage undisturbed laying for the taking, Fortunately the location of the final Titan was never found only a handful of the UNAFI members knew where it lay, And they all swore to never speak of it.

.nor give its locations, for if some one who awaken and take control of the machine could bring untold destruction never before seen on any scale. There were stories , searchers and many other things revolving the Titan , it was a story but some believed it to be true , some had been hunting for it saying it held technology and wealth, while others would claim it for power. 

Shrike was at the local bar of a small town he had stopped at for the night, However he thought it was going to be clam and quiet. That did not happen Shrike heard Mobians speaking of the " Titan" location, A word he had not heard in a long time, Shivers ran down his spine, He was one of the last members of that faction and he knew its location...well kind of. He moved over to where this group was-

" The Titan huh...Yea..I heard the same stories myself..a machine with no weakness..a machine that even the powerful weapons or abilities could not stop..But you are all wasting your time...The Titan is no more..its all in the past..Stop pressuring something that does not exist , make up stories all you want. "

-Shrike returns to the bar table now of course thinking about this in more detail, What if it was found..what if some one did activate it, It was a risk he was not willing to take...However perhaps he could find some help to finally put the Titan rest surely he would not be the only one seeking this machine of power.-

Now had made it to a city. White went straight to the bar and sat down. The bar tender ask what he wanted "Whiskey" White Fang said with a tried voice.
Then his ear twitched hearing about a Titan ( Titans, never heard of it). Then he heard about the damage it could do, and it had no weaknesses. This spiked his interest he leaned in a little closer

-Shrike turned his head to this new comer who seem to be listening on the stories being told not to far off from them , turning his head back to this ground before looking back at the new comer-

" Please for the love that is all sane don't tell me you are also now interested in this story being spun by the masses of this weapon of ultimate power do you ? Its a joke huh."

-Shrike trying to keep himself together from suddenly leaving the table to go find it..but wit hthe situation at hand it seemed like he was probably going that direction very very soon.-

A female figure walked into the bar, mutters heard from beneath her navy blue and black hooded jacket as she briskly walked to the front and asked for a shot of vodka. Sitting down heavily, she downed the shot and slid her hood down to run a hand through her orange and black hair. The wolf mobian's ears picked up fragments of the conversation of the Titan, and a smile slid across her tired features. Of course she had heard, well most she had read actually, of the stories of the war machine and that there was another one, somewhere out there. Amber didn't care much for the tales really, just something to past the time even if the tales intrigued her.

    "If you even have thought of trying to rouse up a location for the lost Titan, forget it." Amber spoke out to the group with a serious expression.

    "And sorry if I seam rude," She said, "But since the UNAFI has ceased to be in a way, I seriously doubt that any Mobians could ever figure where it lays." She concluded, yawning and rubbing her eyes.

-Of course Shrike had not gone far he had returned to his bar stool when the lady wolf entered. She looked familiar like he had seen her before. Of course she knew very little about UNAFI , who they were an what they stood for.

 Shrike on the other hand was apart of them and even after several attempts to remove the logo from his shoulder plate , those who got close enough to make out the letters on it. Shrike eye watched her take a seat.-

-Shrike ordered another for her , The bar man sending another shot her way with regards to the armored masked figure sitting at the end of the table.-

" To those around these lands..Its just a story..a myth..lost in time..forgotten...covered up so that no one would ever find it....truth be told...The titan...the last one...does exist...that I do know...how ? ...I use to be one of the soldiers protecting the hanger in which the lumber machine sat...However..where it was finally lay to rest...no one knows....or perhaps I do ?...Would I tell its location...no...if that thing fell into the wrong hands this world would suffer from it...It already caused so much destruction..letting it run rampant....I believe this is not the first time we have run into each other."

Pushing the palms of her hands into her eyes, she tried to rid her eyes of the blurriness that overtook them. She eyed the armor clad figure as the other shot came to her, but nodded to him in thanks.
Of course she recognized the him, as she and him didn't have a good start. In other words, their meeting was real shaky.

Amber took the shot in her hand, her ears perking as she listened intently to the soldier. Taking a drink, she set the unfinished shot down as she nodded.

"You are right, this isn't the first time we have met. But, I would say we didn't have the best of meetings to say the least." She laughed slightly at this.

- Shrike understood all the same he knew his reputation around the lands was not the best. Most beings..infact all beings to date have either tried to kill him , capture him alive for the large reward on his head..or had some other form or horrid reason for his demise, he had gotten use to shoot first ask question later never having the time to really explain who he was , what happened or why this happening to him.-

" You can say that..but I guess I just accept it now..beings on this world all seem to want my neck for some reason or another..Killed , captured to reap the rewards of my demise...now I just stick to the outlands and as least possible populated areas..places are crawling with bounty hunters , assassins, you name it...And when they show up well its now become...Shoot first then ask the questions....Any way..what ever happened between us...I didn't mean it to go side ways...Its just after what I'v encountered...trusting is very hard for me...I just don't know if that person will strike at me...Wish it was not like this...bad I do not have the luxury to sit around and wait....I have plans...plans for the Titan...you seem level headed...strapped on your body well...not the kind that will loose it and murder every thing in your path."

- Shrike got up and came to sit next to her. Up close he was fairly bigger, his face was covered by some manner of steel helmet, His gear was distinct green and grey much like she remembered before, the faint symbol of his once proud faction faded onto his shoulder armor.-

Amber could tell that for him, it was kill or be killed and people would always try for the first one. Though, what intrigued her was why, why were people after him and hat had he done to have such a heavy ransom on his head. She frankly wondered if he had even done anything at all to cause such a riot. Always being a good judge of character, she couldn't find anything in the soldier that would suggest he had done something unspeakable. He didn't have the nervous air around him that would suggest he was guilty of what he had done.   

Again she was silent as she listened as the man spoke. And she understood why he wasn't much of a trusting person, since danger could be at every angle for a wanted man.

"I don't really mind what did happen with our first meeting. It must be hard to decipher a friend from a foe, with people out for you. But it confuses me, as I feel that you didn't do anything harsh or unrealistic to be constantly hunted down, or maybe it's because of what you've worked fr." Amber said, motioning to the faded patch.

Her herself was fairly tall for a mobian and sometimes even stood inches taller than her companions, so his size didn't seem to bother the female wolf. Finishing of the rest of her shot she sighed and held in a yawn

-Shrike was not really used this kind of questioning usually people never wanted to even hear him talk all they cared about was taking him out..Perhaps in this case money spoke higher then words. They filed many lies about this particular run away former soldier. Now he was just a shadow of his former self. He had no loyalties, His friends were either dead from the war or now scattered to the far beyond. His family well he never spoke of them. Shrike listen to her words and she made a lot a sense..it even made him think of it for it.

A bit of silence went passed with out him saying a word. I guess he was processing her words. However he did have a story to tell her..but he could not risk any one else finding this. He felt deep down inside perhaps this lady is some one who he could trust, but was he willing to risk it, It could be his biggest mistake, but he couldn't run forever, he knew one day..the world would get him..and then his story would be over before any one would ever know of it, He would just be a forgotten causality like those who see saw die during the time of conflict.

Shrike sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck turning his attention back to the lady next to him.

" There is a lot to tell..it explains every thing...well most of it I suppose..why I am here, why the world is after me..why I am pretty much stuffed if I don'
t keep moving....but I must admit one thing...you seem like....a better person...a heart I have not seen in a long time....That patch...that logo...That was a hell of a time..but if you want to know more...this place ain't the place to tell you the stories....I don't want bounty hunters barging in that will put you in the line of fire...and if they saw you converse with me..they may attempt to kill you as well....its twisted complicated thing....I hate it..but there is nothing I can do about it."

-Shrike turned his head away looking down at the bar table.-

As the silence passed between them, she thought briefly about the armored man beside her. He seemed to be through a lot over the past years, and we'll,  any could see that really. She messed around with the empty shot glass,  rolling it around in her hands,  waiting for a response from him. She wouldn't push him to answer at all,  but she was curious to be honest. 

The sigh from the man beside her brought her back to attention,  turning towards the soldier. As she listened,  thoughts flew through her mind about what he was saying,  but the last part struck her somehow. He was worried about her well being instead of his,  which showed another side of him to her. 

Amber gently placed a hand on his shoulder,  and offered a small smile. "I know that you probably still don't trust me enough yet,  but if there is any way I can help you later on,  don't be afraid to ask. " she told him,  her voice calm and friendly

-Shrike slowly looked over to her tho she could not see his face it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he was looking at her, A little silence fell between the two. For Shrike this was not something he was use to, probably the first time some one had layed a hand on him and didn't have a threatening intention against him. He wanted to trust her..but something in his mind told him " not yet" I guess he was just worried. I guess this was his other side the world either did not want to see or refused to know.

She could feel the rough texture of his shoulder armor indicating well worn. Several marks of claws , scorch and seems like impacts and dents-

" Now those are some words I have not heard in a long long time. I guess you prove there is still some good people in the world.... I mean having allies , friends what ever term you use..I still feel that I am putting them in danger simply by talking to them. If at all I would hate for you to be caught up in this..It would not be far for your sake...you don't deserve to be hurt."

Amber let her hand slowly slide away from his shoulder and join the other on the bar table.  He was.... worried? Yes, though she couldn't see through the tinted visor, she was able to sense that he was a bit tense on trusting, but she could deal with it.

Her smile deminished as the silence broke and he began to speak. As she was hearing, he had been on his own for a while now. She couldn't imagine being hunted down, no one to trust and no one to help. It left her slightly speechless.

" War is horrible thing Amber.. War consumes , destroys, no one is right or wrong...in the end ..all that war does is will leave who is left standing....and before that happens deaths will happen, innocents will be hurt collateral damage every where....I know...I saw it all. But any way...what has happened to me happened..I can't run from it or hide from it....I must face it on my own..come hell or high water...Its not over while life still flows through my body....but lets forget that ok...now come lets go...I got a feeling those jerks will be coming here to look for me and the last thing I want is for you to be dragged into this." 

-Shrike got up clicking his neck, Putting some money on the counter covering both his and her drinks..seems like he had a little gentlemen's side to him, he pointed to the door..guess it was time to leave the establishment.-

Amber looked at her hands, listening to him. She had seen the after-effects that war had on some people, but she never really knew what it was like. Sounded like hell, and that's the only way she way she could put it.

Amber watched him get up and finally stood,  stretching our a little. She saw him point to the door and nodded, ready to go.

-Shrike let her out first , letting the door shut behind him. A little hesitant about his surroundings, It was pretty easy to see him + being around others was not easy, he was constantly looking left an right, even over his shoulder he didn't let his guard down, cause he knew what happened the times he did.-

" I can't offer much...but if you wish I could show you the rest ground of the first titan that fell..so you can see what one of these beasts looked like...Its not to far from here..but the land around it is pretty much desolated...the explosion from the machine did damage for kilometers on end...but of course it is up to you."

Amber knew this place inside and out, as she didn't travel much. Maybe it was because being in unknown land made her uncomfortable. She did notice how uneasy Shrike was being out in the open, and felt sad for him. Being out in the open, and everyone on your trail makes people real edgy.

The offer of getting to see the Titan aroused her curiosity. She knew that she wanted to go, but she was slightly afraid, though she didn't know why. Maybe it was just the lack of sleep trying to mess with her but she nodded to Shrike.

"I would like to go." Amber told him

-Shrike was like this when there was a lot of beings around, It's because in the past several attempts were made on him. And those who did used the resemblance of a civilian to get close. Out in the open more quiet lands was a place where he could be more himself.

However Shrike could see a little hesitance from her. He didn't blame her really he was a wanted guy. He thought she didn't trust him and even that Shrike knew and would understand if she didn't. He would understand it with any one else just the same.-

" I can see a little hesitant coming from your eyes. No need to fear..I will not simply abandon you or leave you to fend for yourself if push should come to shove. I'v spent a lot of my life looking out for others its just my nature to do what is right...Now the Titan lays some distance away...Just before a large island is where the first great machine fell...and there..you will see what it use to be....Perhaps in time...we will even find the still operational second titan the world keeps making stories about....If we do need to spend the night at the Titans ruins..I got every thing covered...lets move out!"

-Shrike nodded his head to the direction which they would take. He began to lead the Wolf Female out of the city and into the open. but even in the open the armored figure was weary about the world around him. Poor sod you could say had PTSD of some kind. Paranoid even if no one was around.-

Amber ears perked as she heard Shrike begin to talk, but she was about to interrupt him. It wasn't the fact that she didn't trust, she did and knew that he wouldn't do any of the things he was saying. A bit of anger had seeped into her thoughts but she quickly rid of it, again focusing on the armor clad man beside her.

As they headed out of the city, she stared at the ground.  Holding in a yawn, she decided to strike up a conversation with Shrike.
"So, if I may ask, what does the patch on your shoulder stand for? I've seen it, but it's faded. You've tried to take off haven't you?" She asked

- Shrike listen to her words asking to speak on the faction he once served was a little uneasy to him it was not long since he was apart of them but he knew he could tell her it was in the past. Nothing could be changed about it.-

" The symbol that is faded was that of a faction that once opposed G.U.N. we were known as UNAFI the united new armed forces initiative...we were bent on becoming the new global protection power. G.U.N's ranks were corrupt , conspiracies , lies and worst of all were the events they tried to cover up...After a crisis which my old unit when i was apart of them saved an entire city from a experiment gone wrong by G.U.N...they attempted to kill us..saying they didn't want any witnesses..It was that point we knew G.U.N was not the pride and joy every one though..so we fled..and over years our small rebel force massed in a military great enough to face off again them...However other factions drew into the fighting...as soon as the war began..it was over..even in the short space the death toll was through the roof....the Titans were going to be the weapon to end wars...A machine as powerful as possible , as forbidding as possible..that fear it self would be our ally.

Instead they came a great weapon of mass destruction...When our leader rebelled..he took control of them machine and attempted to destroy all his enemies..UNAFI turned on it self and civil war broke out...The Battle of last stand was when the war was over for UNAFI. We faced off against the Titan...we managed to destroy it..but that one machine destroyed 2 full cities and wiped out our entire force....the remnants went into hiding...and UNAFI was no more....now all my friends..family..are gone."

-After explaining a hard to deal with truth Shrike goes silent one more..it took a toll on him to explain it to her..he hoped she would understand...They began to enter uncharted territory.-

Amber looked on as Shrike began to elate of his past. All in all, aside from the fact that Shrike had once been part of UNAFI, she wasn't very surprised. She had heard her fair share of how corrupt G.U.N was, and conspiracy theroys of what they did. 

Though, as he went on, some of it didn't make sense. At least to her it didnt. I guess she was a bit unsure of what he had said about the Titan, about how it would end wars and not START one. She could see that in their time, it was one thing that could help them but with power like that.... people will become corrupt. 

As he went silent, she glanced over at him. This whole thing had really taken a toll on him, taking his family and friends with it. Her thoughts on it were pushed aside briefly as she began to observe her new sureondings.

As talkative as she could be sometimes, Amber was silent.  I guess you could say that she knew when to keep to herself,  and this was a time when she knew to keep her mouth shut. She figured that even if Shrike was willing to take her here,  to the place where most of his friends and allies had died,  didn't mean he wasn't affected by it. 

As she started to look around,  an uneasy feeling settled itself in her. Her hand rested upon the hatchet that was saddled on her waist,  concealed underneath the hoodie she wore.  The cold blade soothed her nerves slightly and she began walking with a more alert pace,  ears pointed forward. Even though Shrike was with her,  the feeling didn't leave her. 

As they came closer,  Amber's eyes widened slightly as she caught sight of the battle wrecked field. Her step faltered as she scanned the life barren stretch of land,  suggesting the brutality  that she had once considered mistakenly quite less was in reality more so than she could ever imagine. She saw Shrike stop and slowed to a stop beside the armored figure. 

"Careful now...  we are entering the outskirts... " He spoke to Amber.  She nodded, but was a bit thrown off that some of this stuff was active.  She had begun to think the G.U.N or some other corporation had swept through to disable and take everything bit she realized that this was a unlikely and lousy idea. 

As Shrike took leader and began going forward,  Amber kept a few places behind him and started to pick her way through the wrecked field.  To keep her mind at ease,  she hummed softly.

-Shrike would pause looking down at the skeleton remains of a soldier who feel during the battle, he could not help but feel...Un easy..he always questioned why he lived but they didn't , some say it was not his time, truth be told he never knew but he did know one thing that it was not fair...after snapping out of it he spots a large structure laying in the grounds, the area around it was battered , scorched and filled with craters , Chunks of this structure stuck out high into the sky. 

It was the Titan..well what remained of it...You could mistake it for a friggin building it was so large. Half of it was buried under dirt. The rest was mangles and scrap of what was left of the great machine before it fell

Shrike stood there silently looking at the hulk of the former great machine, That thing brought back some bad memories..but for the sake of now he shrugged it off. Even tho they were miles away from any large populated area Shrike refused to be off guard.- 

" There she is...out in the distance...You might mistake it for buildings...but that is what remains of the great first Titan...the one that ended the war so quickly....Follow me"

-Shrike took her right up to the beast. Now up close against the massive thing she could see just how big this machine was. It was estimated about 200 - 250 meters tall, The weight of this thing was in the thousands of tons. Lastly for a impressive sight was one of its mighty cannons , well half of it, sticking out of the ground, The cannon along was the size of a block naval ship.-

" This is her...Titan Dominatus...the first Titan to ever step foot on the world. This machine put fear down any ones side unfortunate enough to stand against it. 3 Layers of void shields protected by layers upon layers of armor meant it was virtually impossible to destroy...or so we thought....Any way here she is..the weapon that ended the war....And the same weapon that destroyed so much."

-Shrike placed his hand on the side of the giant cannon it was pretty obvious this was difficult for him to return..to what he considered. The grave yard of the lost.-

Clash took steps on the slanted deck of the once mighty war machine. The metal envoy of destruction. Clash adjusted his jacket, brushing off some chipped paint that had flaked onto his jacket. Some spaces in this place were tight, and required a bit of crawling. Clash wiped the last of the flakes off, showing the G.U.N emblem on the arm of his jacket. He rolled his arms to loosen them up as he came out onto the deck.

"I always thought this place was a myth." He said to himself as he came out onto the deck. Back in his G.U.N days, he usually heard his superiors talking about it. He grew up in a G.U.N base, so he heard redacted information a lot. Especially about things like this.

"I need to find someway to keep this out of G.U.N's hands. If a corrupt faction got this... A lot of innocent people are gonna get hurt." He finished, taking a knee to fix some of the straps on his boot. When he was finished, something caught his sight when he looked back up. It seemed like a Mobian, and a form of marine. The kind Clash recognized.

"G.U.N!?" Clash said, taking a step back and hiding behind a doorway, peeking at them. "Crap... This throws a wrench into the works..."

-Shrike stopped dead in his tracks..the masked man looked left then switching over to right. Something clearly grabbed him. To stop her from moving any further Shrike placed his hand infront of her. His state of the art combat helmet that hid his face had picked up a unknown signal entering the zone..before she knew him she would of also appeared as a unknown signal but since then he adapted to register her as a friend. 

Shrike raises his rifle pulling back the locking bolt , chambering a round something was not right. On shrikes heads up display on the helmet the unknown target as in the near vicinity of the Titan hull..Shrike being the type who does not trust very well decided to make his presence known.

" Do not attempt to hide...I have your signal locked in..I have no idea who you are or what you are doing here..but come out with your hands secured to the back of your head or I will use force against you..this is your first and only warning."

-Shrike turned his attention to the lady wolf-
" Careful...we have a unknown assailant here it could either be a looter , pirate or another assassin..see if you can sense him out...the helmet only gives his general location but he could be any where on the Titan or around it."
