The fox from hell: the tail of the once great demonhunter

"Ruby drew up the design, ignis carved the bow and Skoll made te string and arrows" azrael said smiling

"I'll be sure to try it out sometime. Since you all worked so hard on it." She said, grinning as she looked at again before she wandered over to sit on Azrael's lap, nuzzling his shoulder.

Azrael smiled lookig to roxy.  He heard ruby call him. "What is it princess?" He asked looking to his daughter

Ruby gave a small smile as she wandered over to give him his presents, each one from all of them. She turned shy when she placed them on his lap, to which Roxy shuffled away so he had room. "For you daddy! Merry Christmas." She said gleefully.

Azrael smiled picking ruby up and setting her on his lap. "So many presents. Which one should I open first?" He picked up the one from ruby. "Let's open your first" he said opening it up. He looked inside

Ruby bit her lip and looked to him. Inside was a calendar on this year, with several pictures of their best memories of their family for each month, along with a glass that said; 'Special Dad' as a separate present. Roxy did the arrangements.

Azrael smiled looking at each of the memories. Then he looked to the glass. He set them down and hugged his daughter. "Thank you ruby, this is the best present ever" he said smiling. He sat her on his lap again. "Remind me after breakfast and well go out and make a nice big snowman. " he said

Ruby suddenly beamed and hugged him back. "Yay!" She exclaimed, bouncing up and down in his lap.

Roxanne snorted. "Another exception where I'll let you hog him, guys." She winked at Az, stroking her daughter's head.

Azrael smiled. "Alright let's see what your brothers got me" he said opening ignis and skolls gifts. He pulled out a dagger from ignis with th words "best dad in the universe" and Skoll had given him a statue of the entire family out of saphire. "Thanks boys." He said smiling as he hugged all of his children. Then he looked for the on from roxy but he didn't see it. "I'm guessing mommy's present will be given to me later"

Roxanne didn't answer him as she smirked in his direction. Her eyebrows rose suggestively and she couldn't help but snort in amusement. Obviously it was subtle so the kids wouldn't notice; besides they seemed too fixated on him.

n"Alright now who gets to help me in the kitchen today?" Azrael said smiling. 

"It's ruby's turn today" ignis said as he and Skoll got off. Ignis ran and tackled his mother. 

"Well then what should we make for breakfast chef ruby" he asked as he ou his daughter on his shoulders walking for the kitche

Roxy grunted as her son slammed into her eagerly. "Oomph!..careful honey." She chuckled, looking to him.

Ruby hummed in thought, looking down from his shoulders. Then she threw her arms up. "Waffles! With syrup!" She beamed. "Oh, and eggs!"

"Yes chef ruby" azrael said smilig as he set he to sit on the counter getting everything they needed. "How about you start on the batter while I heat up the waffle iron"

"Sorry mommy" ignis said smiling "I just love you so much" 

Skoll sat quietly with a smile on his face as usual. He didn't talk much at this age

Ruby got to work instantly, giggling as she did.

Roxanne grinned down at him before waving Skoll over. "Come here, sweetie."

Skoll smiled getting up and jumping onto hi mom just like his twin.

Azrael hummed as he started to make the egg. "How's the batter looking princess" he asked leaning over and placing a chef hat on her head

The batter was all over her form. She was a right mess as she had been stirring like mad, but she looked up and nodded to her father, smiling sweetly. "It's going great!" Ruby giggled, looking up at her hat.

Roxy hugged them both and sighed contently.

Azrael smile. "Slow down a bit honey" his hands gabbed hers as he stirred it slowly. "Your gonna need a bath before we head outside.

The twins giggle buzzing into their mother. Both of them momma's boys

She pouted a little but stirred slowly and steadily with him, concentrating hard.

Roxanne shook her head at them but her heart blossomed. "So you boys liked your presents?" She asked, already knowing the answer but she wanted to ask anyway.

Azrael smiled. "That's it.now we gently pour the batter onto the waffle iron" together they lifted the bowl and poured it ino th Waffle iron

"Yep" they said at the same time. "Jinx" they said looking to eachother

Ruby's tongue peeked through her lips. She had a habit of doing that when she was concentrating as she wiped stray bits from the iron with a cloth.

Roxanne chuckled. "Good. That's good." She pulled them closer, kissing their foreheads tenderly.

Az cloths the iron. "And now let's work on thos eggs" he said pulling out a pan and handing ruby an egg

The twins smiled hugging their mother. 

"The Christmas specials should be on you know how the boys love the classics" Az shouted for the kitchen

Ruby's tongue stuck out again, concentrating on not dropping any eggshells in there as she cracked each egg. She carefully let its contents into the pan.

Roxanne was a bit stuck here with two boys clinging to her, but she was able to reach over and grab the remote to switch on the TV. Of course what it landed on was one of their favourite films.

Both of them gasped and suddenly sat in front of the tv.

Azrael smile. "You'll make a great cook some day princess"

Roxanne startled when they suddenly leapt off of her. "Guys, not so close, you'll get square eyes." She said, half chuckling but half serious.

Ruby beamed at that. "Really?" She asked, looking to him with batter splattered over her face where she had been stirring a little too enthuastically.

The boys scooted back a little half listening to their mother both their tails wagging

Azrael smiled. "You might become better than daddy someday" he said kissing her cheek.
