Explanation of the Mobius 25 Years Later Universe

For those of you not familiar to the Archie Sonic Comics, there has been several comics dedicated to "Mobius 25 Years Later" or "M:25YL" as fans refer to it.  These comics showed what the planet was like 25 years later but always has been present as an unofficial/non-canon timeline meaning that its only a 'guess' to what the future would be like.  There been several different outcomes to the future, whether being Sonic defeating Eggman to Shadow becoming a ruthless ruler.

Regardless, its actually a lot of fun to see where characters grow in that time frame and know its a popular idea among people I know to roleplay.  I figure that I would start up an RP on the basis of 25 years later for our characters to see where they have gone in the world.  This RP is free to anyone joining, just remember, this is the future, your characters would have some significant changes or developments that has made them different, hell even having kids even.

It was another beautiful and warm day in Station Square as the sky displayed a nice mix of reds, oranges and yellow.  It was an indication that getting close to sunset when the traffic would calm and people would start to come out for the night.  It was the middle of the week but despite that, the city was always busy with life at any point in the day.  The area that seemed to be the busiest as always was downtown where a park was as well as some local vendors trying to pawn off some items they had, from valuables to stuff that you would consider junk.

The area seemed to be beaming with life as there was a lot of people out for the evening.  Here you could find various mobians of different backgrounds, from the rich, the poor and even the average person.  You could find adults walking around, the elderly shopping and kids playing out in the park.  It was almost comforting to see all these type of people walking around, the downtown just seem to have a nice peaceful aura in the air.

In the park, hanging out at some swings were two tigers, both appearing to be in their mid teens. The female tigress was a pale orange color with red highlight in her long hair and bright green eyes while the male counterpart was a light cream color with salmon color highlights in his short hair and eyes.  Both however seems a bit odd however as both were wearing tribal apparel of various colors and shades of brown.  A possible indication that they were not from around the area if one was to suspect or assume.  Either way, one this that was obvious was that they were siblings and seems to be having a bit of an argument.  

"Come on Taryn, can't we stay here a bit longer?" the tigress whined a bit.  The male tiger Taryn as he was referred to gave her a dirty look, "No Fia, Mom and Dad said we need to be home by 8:00!" he growled to his sister.  Fia sighed and soon followed with another whine, "We'll be okay silly, we're out in the public, its safe here!" she smiled as she jostled his hair before continuing to swing on the swing set.  Unable to convince his older sister to listen to his parent's request, he sighed as he start to swing too, trying to enjoy it despite they were going to break their curfew.  He kept an eye on the people around them as they swung, if they were at least going to break the rules, he was going to make sure they would get back in one piece, something that unfortunately didn't happen to often.   

At least they are at a public place, right?

An Astro Multicorp Copbot wheeled down the sidewalk on its usual route. Stepping out of its way was one of its benefactors, as well as its inceptor. A fox, short and still good-looking, but with a hint of grey coming in the fringes of his hair, strolled down the sidewalk.

Turning to the side, he noticed the children playing in the park. My god. This had been a crater once. All the misguided fighting, all the wasted years and lost lives.... No. They were not a waste. They earned a park where children could play. It seemed his city's crucible, the city he worked for, the city he led, had finally left it's crucible, and came out better than ever. Chewing a pipe in his mouth and staring through a thin pair of glasses, he noticed a former enemy sitting on the bench down the path. 

But now, he was a good friend. Grinning the flashing smile that won him the city, and eventually won the city peace, he approached, limping a little from the cybernetic leg. In a voice still strong, but a tad ghoulish with throat lacerations, he called out to the fox. "I'll get you yet, you walking firestorm!" 

He laughed at his own joke. He had said that phrase many times before under very different circumstances. It wasn't more than fifteen years ago that Sully would have given his left hand to see this fox downed in a hail of gunfire. Preferably by one of those Copbots. But time heals all wounds. He had come to understand that magic users were not threats, just people who might need a little regulation and a lot of heart. Still, it might have been nice to figure this out before his right leg vacated his person. 


An Astro manufactured drone streaked by overhead, looking for crime across the city. The police force now worked with the former military muscle to keep people safe. Whether it be a pocket of violent anti-powerism to a robbery to a cat in a tree, these one fearful robots assisted, served, and protected. It was much better this way. Much better than before. And for Sully the Fox, that was the definition of fulfillment in life.

"Listen to your brother Fia"came a mocking yet familiar voice"Good little girls should be tucked in bed before 10". The voice was distinctly female and the sentences ended in a drawl that people would more commonly associate with Geof if they'd met him. No surprise there as the voice belonged to one of his gaggle of kids. The man had quite a few of them, most pureblood hedgehogs. Quill was an exception.

She looked like a tiger, though her colors were more then a bit unusual for one, having black fur and yellow stripes and markings. Up untill a month or more ago she'd have been clad in tribal gear, now it was hard to tell her from any city slicker. Dressed in clothes that followed the latest fashion trends while being non descript. Quill knew how to blend in, even if her younger half brother had grumbled about the 'shopping'.

She swished her tail as she eyed the two younger tigers"I didn't know your parents left the island as well~? fancy that.. and you're still alive too, I'd imagined the city would have eaten you two up"She sounded both cheerfull, demeaning and predatory, an odd mix either and she simply seemed to ooze both confidence and a hint of danger. But both Fia and Tarin knew they had little to fear from her. Their relation was almost that of family after all.

"Go home~ its going to get dark soon~"she purred, half cajoling and half daring Fia to defy her parents. Family like relation or no, Quill had always been a bad influence and moving to the city hadn't changed that one lick.

Both seem to freeze almost as simultaneity the ears twisted to the direction of the female voice.  The swings still going until their pace came to a stop as the two sat there.  It wasn't until Taryn slowly got up and turned to see Quill, his face changing to almost a bit of a glare as he looked at her.  "Quill" he muttered.  Fia soon repeated her brother actions but rather had a warm smile to her face as she approached Quill.  "I didn't think your folks would have fled here either!" she grinned as she approached.  "We're still alive now...Mom and Dad told us where to go in city so that we stay out of trouble." she added on as she looked over Quill.

Taryn on the other hand, wasn't too happy she was here.  Many misadventures with her and her half-brother ended up badly...actually what ended up with their families in the city in the first place because of the two tigers meddling.  "Don't listen to her Fia, we really should head home it's n-" he sentence was cut off as Fia shoved him a bit in a playful manner. "Nonsense!  Let's hang out with her...besides maybe she can teach us how to survive in the city?  Or even help us get some fancy clothing like she has!" Fia mentioned.  There was no point in arguing for Taryn, he always was roped into his sister's adventures, he did have to look after her as his parents asked.

"Where is Talon?" Taryn asked Quill which soon he detected a noise in a tree nearby, hearing a few rustles as some leave fell out of it.  With a steady leap, a slate color tiger with white markings, rather unusual 'mane like' hair around his shoulders, goggles and sporting various leather clothing came out a nearby tree.  His unusual eyes, a deep gold in color with black colored scleras stared at the fox that had walked past the tree near the path, eyeing him a bit with some caution before he padded over to Quill.   He wasn't paying too much attention to the Copbot that was also in the area, not worried about if it might mistake him for something.

"You know I'm never too far away from my sister, runt." he smiled with a rather crooked grin, exposing his rather sharp teeth.  Fia blinked and smiled again, turning her attention to Talon now, "You didn't get new clothing?  Talon your going to get in a lot of trouble, you know you don't exactly 'blend in well' with that appearance of yours." she said in an almost matter of fact.  She started to let her vision wander a bit, looking to the fox and then to the Copbot which had her more concerned.

The wheeled patrol copbot glided to a halt a short ways from the playground. Turning sideways, it started to examine a leaky water faucet, checking for errors, looking for the needed repairs, and putting two Officer Copbots from the station three blocks away into standby mode in case the mysterious tiger did anything rash. 

In that station, two bipedal robots, looking like pair of more angular and utilitarian Mecha-Sonics, activated. They stepped across the storage room into launch tubes 7 and 8. Things like this were normally false alarms, but it never hurt to be on the safe side of things. No launch yet though. Civilians in the area, and the odds of something dangerous happening was low enough to not yet launch a potentially panic inducing pair of Officer units. 

Still, the patrol copbot felt the situation was secure enough to not confront the group. If that changed, it was ready. As the Officers in tubes 2, 3, and 4 launched towards a bank robbery ten blocks south and eight blocks east with a flash of flame and an artillery thud, the point was accentuated. Now, those units were black and white streaks across the darkening sky, and soon they would be efficient neutralizers of a team of robbers.

Yes, the Copbot Network was ready. After all, the Copbot Network was always ready.
