The Discordian Pits

The discordian pits are a little known part of hell. It's reserved for those who practice bloodmagic. Those who practice blood magic change the laws of the universe or bend them to a breaking point. As punishment a taint spreads upon their soul that upon their deaths turns them into discordian demons. These demons lose their memories from the mortal world upon rebirth though will slowly regain them over time. The more bloodmagic the person has used, the higher and more powerful they will be as a demon. However the higher their rank as a demon the more they seem to lack emphaty.

Upon becoming a discordian demon, that person will be governed by their most prominent mortal sin; Pride, Envy, Wratch, Greed, Lust, Gluttony or Sloth.

Discordian demons tend to keep to themselves and don't mingle much with other demon societies, which is much to the relief of most demons because born demons do tend to have empathy and tend to find the discordians lack thereof mildly disconcerting. How ever, the rare discordian spells and artifacts that do make it into the hands of 'normal' demons tend to be highly valued treasures.

It is unknown if a discordian demon can reproduce or not and weither its ofspring would be demon or mortal. No records of such occurances have been found and the current theory stands that the only way the discordians can increase their numbers is to absorb dead blood magic users into their ranks.

Rumor has it this was a curse put onto them by Argus the god of Balance because their magic disrupts the balance of the universe by breaking and bending its laws.
