The Army of Emptiness Empty The Army of Emptiness

Post by Guest Mon Apr 21, 2014 8:01 pm

"This planet as you know it shall cease to exist..."

The entire planet was going through what seemed like a normal day, sun shined, wind blew, however this was all to change all too soon. The very sky began so blacken, although it was morning. The seas began to tumble and crash despite the low winds. Cloud faded and dissapeared. The entire planet of Mobius was covered with the giant shadow of thousands, upon thousands of invading space ships. These ships varied in design and look, some small, some huge, some round and some pointed. However they all shared one common trait, a large, stand up "A.O.V" emblem upon the front of each one. A large ship soon followed the others, lowering down over the central city and releasing a large speaker. "People of Mobius. You have now been taken under a new vacancy, you have two options. Surrender now and accept your new fate under our rule, or be destroyed one by one!" This voice was echoed loudly, crossing over multiple speakers, covering the planet with this dark threat.

The ships all began lowering, some landing on large open patches of ground, they began to release, one by one, soldiers, each one covered in a full suit of armor, they were colored blue and grey, the helmets were round topped and had spikes from the eyes to the back, the body was sturdy and covered in spikes along the sides, each one was armed with what looked like a rifle but was clearly seen as alien technology. These soldiers also beared the emblem of "A.O.V". They marched out one by one, flooded the streets and occupied, waiting for the single moment that a civilian would rebel against them.

Within this city was a Black furred Lion, he saw this event take place over the course of what seemed like mere minutes. He was confused and dazed, despite being a space pirate, he had never seen anything quite like this. He watched on and the streets were invaded by countless space crafts and soldiers. He clenched his fists, he saw this planet as his new home and did not want to lose what he saw as his own. However, he like many others, did not want to be the Guinea Pig that the army invading would make the first example of.

As the army marches throughout the city streets as one, above the soldiers is a black hedgehog lurking on a skyscraper. As he looked at what's taking place, he witnesses the fear of the city's citizens as they tremble at the site of the invasion. Witnessing this, the hedgehog then reached for his sword waiting for the right moment to strike.

Deep and rigid gold eyes watched on in mild surprise as the once vibrant scenery became dark like the blackest of nights. The creature behind the eyes was rather distinguishable by his array of feline and avian attributes. One was likely able to swiftly determine this was indeed the mythical hybrid of the fearsome lion and the predatory eagle known as the Griffin.

Tharros Polemistis had found himself enjoying the luminescent rays of the sun and the light wind flowing through his assortment of white feathers and brown fur. He was situated at an outside diner of sorts, a glass of wine resting on the white and black checkerboard table that was rather small in size and round in shape. The large hybrid sat upright in proper posture, suggesting he was one of sophistication. Resting in his large brown furred paws was a book regarding the art of hand to hand combat which is something he studied and practiced quite frequently.

But as the invading forces made their abrupt entry, the Griffin's beak twisted into a frown as it seemed his peace was moments away from being foiled. A long sigh escaped the curved and goldenrod protrusion and he quickly closed the book to analyze what exactly was ruining such a tranquil afternoon.

What appeared to be the leader was striving to forecefully gain control over the denizens of this planet. In all of his 2,000 years, he had never seen something quite like this. An invasion of this magnitude would likely not be overcome so easily. Regardless, a smug grin stretched across the ancient warrior's visage as he stood up straight, ready to impede on the malevolent intentions.

"I will never submit to such filth." he muttered under his breath. He reached down to grab the object that leaned against the table. His paw gripped around one of the black shafts of his rather uncanny weaponry, which was essentially a four sided halberd of sorts. Tharros stood where he was and was ready to fight for his life.

A black hedgehog watched the invasion, smirking slightly to herself.  Finally, someone had seemed to know how to invade a planet.  She tossed her hair, and ducked into an alley where it would take more time for them to get to her.  She thought for a moment:  should she pretend to be an innocent girl just trying to survive, or should she come out and talk to them?  The latter seemed to be a better idea.

But she wouldn't come to them, she would let them come her her.  She watched as they invaded, trampling and attacking the Mobians.  Nothing like watching people get killed.  It was her second favorite pastime, her favorite being killing the people herself.  She would have to join these people sooner or later.  She reached for her handguns slowly, getting an idea.  If she wanted to join them, she would kill someone just to prove to them.

Her eyes grazed the crowd, until she spotted a fairly young hedgehog.  She put her fingers on the triggers and shot the hedgehog, and he dropped dead.  She blew on the smoke coming from her gun and she sat down against the wall.  She loved killing.  She just didn't know how to explain that to her boyfriend.......

As the invasion continued, the hedgehog kept observing from the top of the skyscraper and starts pondering to himself whether or not to follow through with his actions. As the screams of pain and agony echoes throughout his head, he begins to hear voices telling him to fight of the invaders and other voices telling him to stay out of it and let the mobians fend for themselves.

However, he sees this as a great opportunity to finally test his skills against formidable opponents and further his own abilities. As a result, he forms a devilish grin and chuckles maniacally and then prepares his weapons and begins to descend from the skyscraper.

Just as the few mobians were about to fight back, the speakers omitted yet another voice "Those who wish to rebel against the Armada shall fall. But so you don't have to go through the trouble..." Almost instantly after that voice stopped, the many foot soldiers aimed thier weapons at the poor, defenseless citizens, all aimed and ready to fire. "If anyone wishes to be a hero, let yourselves know that all these people shall die by the armada's hand within seconds!" The voice slowly came to a stop again.

The Lion on the ground growled quietly as he ran of to an alleyway. "I won't let this happen." He took a device from his pocket, upon pressing a button, a second shadow cast over the city, it was that of a red sky ship, however it was no where near as massive as the Armada's ships. A rope ladder swung down and brought the Lion up to the deck. "I need to do something. But what.."

"Now that's not smart," a dead-sounding voice piped up from the worried and frantic crowd, "No, that's moronic. Guns cannot stop the power of some within this city." The monotone droll belonged to a yellow hedgehog with various patterns of blue, fur dulling with time with the occasional strand of grey here and there to show the passings of age, emotionless red eyes examined the armored figures before him, pointing a gun at his general direction as he adjusted the spectacles across his muzzle to be more comfortable, and a constant frown remained on those lips as he spoke with as much excitement and ferocity as a dead tortoise, "A gun can be fired, but what is a bullet compared to the power of the elements? To the power of time and the power of gravity, of matter manipulation, poison, the list goes on."

The man took a step forward with a tilt of his head, facial expression never switching from anything other than 'bored' as he addressed the army, "If you were smart, which I assume you are not, then you would find elsewhere to pillage and ruin. Out of the infinite possibilities of planets in this universe, you choose one of the most savage, the most brutal. And I feel sorry for you, that you would make such a pitiful mistake."

The hedgehog clasped his hands together, taking a step back calmly, "Ah, and this is where you shoot. Because I have spoken words which bruised your fragile ego of this group, which will no doubt fall," the mobin shrugged his shoulders, "I won't stop you trying, do what you wish. Attempt to take this planet, but you will fail. Many have attempted to take over this world, yet it is still as chaotic as ever. What makes you special? What makes it a possibility to you?" He smiled. From those eyes, and the lack of emotion, it just didn't look right on the man's face, "You are just an insignificant speck of dust, all of you. Stop playing children's games and go elsewhere, you've already provoked the brutality of this world upon you."

This guy sure liked to monologue, that was for certain.

Meanwhile, in the mountainous reigon of Urben Glacies, a group of other civilians... no, heroes, gathered in front of a small shed, watching through binoculars at the chaos that headed towards their city... Tyson's city.

Tyson slowly lowered the binoculars from his eyes and spoke, "I can't alow this to happen to Urben Glacies..." He turns to the others that were behind him, a mass of other characters, about a hundred of theme, whether friend or family, all waiting for orders.

Tyson spoke again. "We are going to keep this place, my homeland, prosperous, and lively. And even if it costs our lives."

The crowd cheers wildly, and Tyson turns back towards the darkening sky that headed towards his city.

"I've defeated my father... And I'm sure I can defeat the likes of this army... Here's the plan."

Tyson turns back to the crowd once more, and they huddle up, conversation on the attack strategy.

As the black hedgehog descends from the building, the glass windows shatter as he passes by them and falls right beneath him. Moments later, he then finally lands on the streets of the city, appearing in front of the invaders.

The mysterious hedgehog then stands up in front of the soldiers and confronts them face to face. He then glares at the soldiers with a demented look in his eyes; letting out a subtle sigh, he then grips onto the hilt of his dual pistol swords. "So, it begins."

The ebony hedgehog paused as she heard the yellow hedgehog, and thought for a moment.  That nagging voice in the back of her head said once again:  you shouldn't be doing this.  The girl shook her head once to clear it out of her mind.  She had chosen this path, and she was going to follow it.  After thinking for a moment, the girl got an even better idea.  She took a deep breath, and stepped out of the alley.

She might of had thousands of years of wisdom, but she was still the same 16 year old trickster she always was.

"Elements, you say?"  She walked up to the crowd, a smirk fixated on her face.  She stepped up to the front of the crowd, between the army and the worried Mobians.  "This good sir is right; you do not have the power to overcome a brutal world like this." She turned to the other black hedgehog.  "Why, this man could easily kill many of you with one swipe of his sword."  She turned back to the crowd.  "We have the power to overcome them, don't we?"  The crowd looked uncertain.

"Well come on, couldn't we?  With this man's wisdom, and the available uh..... ah!" She quickly ran into a weapons store and grabbed a variety of weapons, and came back, throwing the pile on the ground in front of them.  "And the available weapons, we shall stop these evildoers!  Who's with me?  If you are, grab a weapon!" The crowd was silent for a few seconds, until a small cat child picked up a .55 caliber, and looked it over.  He looked back to her.  "Let's do this."

The rest of the crowd surged forward, grabbing weapons from the pile, and some going back into the weapons store to get more.  While they grabbed weapons, she strutted towards the other army, and whispered something in one's ear.  She then raced around, whispering things to various other soldiers.  She walked back to the front of the army, a false grin on her face. "Well, get to it, then."

She turned back to the Mobians.  They all had weapons now, and were expectantly looking at her.  She smiled, and threw her hands up.  "Let the battle begin!"  Just before anyone attacked, she disappeared in a cloud of darkness.

And that hostility was the Armada's signal. Hundreds upon hundreds of beams from the soldier's weapons unleashed i the direction of civilians and buildings, however, that was certainly not all, the ships of the Armada also rained down, unleashing power canon blasts and laser shots, cutting through tall buildings one by one as civilians scream and run and hide.

The Lion garbed in red had seen all he can handle as his, small in comparison sky ship charged onward, shooting its own blasts back at the armada.....to no avail, he was shot down instantly, the lion plumetted down, but in a quick red flash, he was enveloped in a red costume of armor, helmet and all in the style of a hawk, wings extending from the arms to the waist, allowing him to gently float down, upon landing, he reverted to normal, taking a red helmed cutlass and charging for the foot soldiers.

(I'm gonna assume that Lycalo posts after me? Because we can't leave anyone behind guys :c )

"Hm," he muttered to himself audibly, the hedgehog tapping his glasses with mild-to-no interest as the armada raised their weapons to attack, "You are all children. Petty children who throw a tantrum when they don't get what they want." He extended his palms outwards, examining the sky up above as the hum of energy weapons singed within the air, ready to fire down and cause mass destruction. He thought this all boring. You'd think he'd fear for his life more - he wasn't exactly invincible.

The yellow-furred mobian grabbed the nearest pistol and wrapped his hand around it, placing a light fingertip upon the trigger and swiping across it, examining the small but lethal weapon, "A child's toy, but no matter," he arched his back, stepping to the side of a bullet which burnt the fabrics of his jacket from the speed, and grabbed one of the troops, leaned on their shoulder, placed the pistol against the temple of their assumed forehead and fired before the 'alien' had any possibility of registering what happened. Though one man, and especially him of all people, would prove impossible to take on an entire fleet.

And honestly, he didn't feel like it.

The other civilians were fighting. Weapons were used for the powerless like himself, others using their fancy 'powers' to lay waste to others, yet the yellow hedgehog bounded away on his feet, leaving but a single body out of the impossible numbers in the dirt.

A disappointing sigh escaped the beak of Tharros. The invading forces Xvose to go through with their intents. Did they not see how futile this attempt was? Among the thousands of helpless fleeing from danger, there were an abundance of formidable warriors would be more then a match. He himself was no easy opponent to overcome with his centuries of knowledge and training in the art of hand combat. Even though the windmill-shaped halberd was the only weapon he possessed, he'd be able to stand against the likes of their firearms with little difficulty.

The hybrid stretched out his massive ivory feathered wings that nearly doubled his already impressive height. Bending his white feathered knees, the majestic creature took off for the sky in a powerful leap, forming a small crater on the ground from the sheer force of his takeoff. The large feathery appendages sprouting from his back began to flap, sending the avian feline towards one of the airships, where he planned to infiltrate the interior and destroy it from the inside.

Armed and prepared to face the invading army, the black hedgehog unsheathed his dual pistol swords and began to emit a mysterious red aura around him. He then formed a sadistic grin on his face and only moments later, he then charged at the alien army.

The black hedgehog then appeared in front of the soldiers and then instantly appeared right behind two of the aliens, as if he somehow transmitted himself from in front of them. The swift hedgehog then used most of his force to stab the two aliens through their heads. And only mere moments later, he then moved his finger to the trigger that was attached to the hilt and then pulls it as hard as possible, sending out bullets through their skulls.

Spirit had reappeared in a nearby tree, chuckling slightly to herself.  Just as I expected.  She watched the battle start, and the weaker Mobians ran away or were trampled quickly by the stronger ones.  Some stood out, like the black hedgehog she had seen earlier, and an avian feline heading toward one of the ships.  Yawning, she reached up and grabbed an apple out of the tree.

As she chewed the apple, she thought about how sad this all was.  They thought they were so strong, the Mobians of this century.  Some were so easily manipulated, like putty in her hands.  With just a few strong words, she could talk them into a battle with thousands of stronger beings. They would all die, she was sure of it.

But still they fought on.  It was amusing.  Back in the 1600s, people were smarter.  The older one seemed to be thinking what she was thinking.  She almost admired him, but alas...... she didn't need to look up to anyone.  She was her own role model, and she hadn't borrowed anyone else's style.

She dropped the apple core to the ground beneath her.

The black hedgehog kept fighting off the invaders, killing them in the most brutal ways possible. And in just mean minutes, over less than half of the alien army was brutally killed by the sadistic hedgehog.

The hedgehog then took a step back and thrusts his sword into the ground. A few moments later, he then kneeled up from the ground and then looked up at the armada ships and began to have a feeling that someone is up there, trying to solve this issue from the inside.

(Can we not do this. This will defeat the purpose of the RP thank you.)

Marvelous, the black lion upon the small sky ship was in a panic, he knew the attempts were futile, the armada would keep coming, they wouldn't stop. So he called out from his sky, asking those on the ground. "PLEASE! Citizens of this planet, this armada is unlike any threat this planet has faced! We must act as one to overcome them!" He looked down, sweat dripped from his face as he saw many running...many dying, but a small handful fighting, he awaited any response as he watched the chaos ensue.

Meanwhile, the main ship of the armada came to a landing, no doors opened. Instead, The ship planted itself to the ground, the pressure making the pavements crack as the giant aircraft sunk its legs into the ground, rooting it to its place.

The yellow one had found himself a staircase leading upwards within the ruins of an abandoned building, the roof caved in and the windows cracked and demolished, one wall to the side reduced to rubble to the side of the street. His footsteps were inaudible under the roar of gunshots, screams and fire as he made his way onto thee second floor, greeted to the great sky above. The hedgehog looked around, expression never changing an inch as he gripped a slab of the remains of the collapsed wall, adjusting his circular-rimmed glasses calmly atop his muzzle as he glanced over the chaos and destruction below.

The lion's voice called out, and he could just about make out the cry for teamwork through the echoes of despair. Chances are he would have missed it completely if it were not for the increased elevation - what a funny coincidence that was. A light sigh escaped the man's dry lips, contemplating what to do next. To go down there would be suicide - death was certain. He was only mortal, after all. Nor what he a fighter, especially against the sheer amount of bullets which would have headed his way. The hedgehog played with the weapon in his fingertips, idly examining the masterwork of the device. A gun, a pistol no less, was hardly of interest. But one cannot dismiss the complexity of such a weapon, despite being useless these days in comparison to others. He wondered if it was enchanted - it'd be surprising if it wasn't, yet from the test-fire earlier it was unlikely.

He ducked, dodging a bullet which flew by his head with alarming speed. Seems he would have company within the next few seconds, if he were not to make a move now. Examining the area with his dead red eyes, the yellow-furred mobian glared up at the red ship up above. Now that was all good and well, speaking words, but to not allow others access to the ship? It was hypocrisy in the lightest form, and he would have none of that.

The footsteps of alien soldiers grew louder towards his destination. From the sounds, he could estimate... two. Armed, no doubt. And armored. To take on two would be foolish, he had little confidence in his abilities bar his little stunt earlier. And a wound to a limb would cost him his life at a later date. Thus did the hedgehog take a daring leap, onto the ground below, a blast of energy flying past his head, singing a little of fur atop it as he ran into the alleyway to the side. Thank you, god of life-saving convenience.

As Tharros continued to make his way up as hos oversized wings continually flapped to send him upwards, his pointed white feathered ears twitched in reaction to what appeared to be one of the resisters pleading for everyone to work in conjunction with one anothrt. A smirk couldn't help but break past the hybrid's otherwise stotic visage. He was better off on his own, not being held down by the denizens of this era.

But now was not the time to contemplate things as it seems now the enemy had become aware of his presence. An assortment of lasers and missiles launched towards his way from one of the crafts he was approaching. Increasing his speed slighty, the Griffin pushed himself to the left and right, initiating a number of rather impressive and majestic rolls and flips to avoid the impending projectiles. Tharros was far more nimble and evasive then he appeared for being such a large and bulky fighter. That coupled with remarkable mental prowess allowed him to swiftoy calculate the trajectory  of each individual projectile and react accordingly. Gripping Anemomylos in preperation, the mystical warrior braced himself for the breach in a matter of moments.

The leading ship had began to open, a trail of steps followed the opening as a humanoid figure exited the ship. The figure was covered head to toe in blue and white, his face looked like a statue, it was plain, blank and was silver. He stepped down, his hands behind his back, he watched simply as the chaos ensued.

Spirit had enjoyed watching the Mobians die, but she knew it was time to get out of here before she ended up like them.  With a huff, she dropped out of the tree and walked out of the small woods near the battle.  Wait a second.

Before she could go out there, she would have to look scared.  She put on a face of pure terror and ran to the ladder like a madwoman.  As she grabbed the ladder, she noticed the humanoid figure.  The ladders had dropped when it had come, so it must have been a big deal.  She grabbed the ladder and climbed up.

As she got to the top of the ladder, she turned her eyes to the man giving orders.  "Sir..... Thank you.  It was foolish of me to let them fight."  Her eyes showed a fake sincerity that had been mastered so it looked believe able.

The Army of Emptiness Empty Re: The Army of Emptiness

No, that was stupid.

There were multiple things wrong with that. First off, the army could easily invade that ship. They could get on the ladders. They could simply climb up and gun down whoever was up there, since a free ladder to them, and multiple mind you, was a free invitation for slaughter. Second, climbing up. What was to stop the army from firing at those who were climbing, while they were exposed and vulnerable? The plan was already exposed because of that stupid loud-mouthed feline, the army knew that it was resistance getting aboard, of course they'd fire. Third, what was the plan after that? Let's compare the sheer amount of enemy ships with weaponry against that tiny red flying trashcan. It'd be decimated in an instant. And the crew inside would perish, since the only way out would be the smoldering city below. The calculations of success were impossible, and if they somehow beat the odds and carried out the plan of whatever that crazy lion was planning, with all that shouting and a lot less doing, the numbers were... insane. An army against a few. Kal shook his head. Sheer, cold, hard impossibility.

How about no. He could do this by himself, he didn't fancy getting eradicated for the sake of a screaming cat.

Loading the tiny pistol in his hands, the yellow hedgehog dove into a cross-section in the dark alleyway, leading to different streets within the city. His red eyes quickly examined each of the exits - all he could see was fire, smoke and rubble from most, though one appeared to be free of such chaos. Glancing behind, there were moving black shapes. The aliens, no doubt, looking for survivors of the current wreckage.

Yet at the same time, the smoke could allow cover. He sighed lightly with irritance, raising his fluff-jacket above his muzzle, taking a deep breath. Kal could smell the fumes, smell the stench of broken walls and building-dust and it caused him to stagger a little. The sound of footsteps was getting louder - seemed they hadn't investigated the alleyways yet, and were about to. Grand.

Into the smoke and fire he went, body consumed by the great fumes of burning chaos.
