♋-The Calm Before The Storm-♋

In the distance walks an enshadowed figure. She is haunted by everything she sees.

Lena...is her name...

The fox walks among the beach's waters, troubled by her thoughts. Everything she sees seems haunting to her, and she has to turn away. She looks out into the distance, sighing. She hopes that someone will save her.

Will someone save her?

Remember, this is only the calm before the storm, and Lena is doing everything she can to survive...

A fox sat along the shore, gripping her scythe.
Her brown hair flowed gently, and she seemed...distant.

Mentally distant.

A wolf sat next to her.
She had a more serene expression.
Her hair was black.
With the exception of that long streak of blonde.

She was quiet.
She hid her face behind her bandana.
The only thing that could be seen was her haunting yellow eyes.
The type that clouded your judgement.
The ones that haunted.
Scared.

Lena continues to walk among the shoreline, shivering at every thought that literally haunts her. She sees the figures, but notices them for a second, and sits among the shoreline, letting the water wash upon her feet.

The wolf headed her way.
Her eyes glowing like the sun.
She watched her step, and she seemed...

Jumpy.

As if something happened.

She walked up to Lena, her yellow eyes almost penetrating right through her.
Her voice was dark, emotionless. A villianous tone. But that was just her voice.

She spoke, "Who are you?"

Suddenly, the reaction the Lena got made her jump even more.

"L-Lena..." she stammered, letting the water wash upon her feet. Now, Lena was usually not this jumpy. But the voice that just spoke to her just now? Now that made her jump.

"Who...are you?" she asked the figure, who had just walked up to her just now.

"Rapture." She glanced back.
"That's Fleur over there."

She examined her.
"Why're you so jumpy?"

Those eyes peering over her again.

Lena sighed-- it was time for the truth.

"Everything is haunting me," Lena said. "I'm sick of it." And with that, she pouted, her eyes closing. She opened them immediately as yet another haunting thought came to her. making her shiver.

"Why is everything..so scary out here...?" Lena said, looking out into the distance once more.

She looked at her.

"It's only scary if you're scared. And I know that for sure. People are hunting me down. I'm scared. But nothing's scary to me."

Lena looked at Rapture-- she was blushing a little because of what was now happening. Feeling a little braver, she asked, "Can you help me survive out in this world?"

Rapture nodded.

"Of couse. It'll be us."

Fleur walked over. She waved to Lena.

Lena nodded, then waved to Fleur. She was feeling a bit braver than before.

Rapture hugged Lena. Which was unusual for her, she was an assassin. Funny almost.

"We won't let anything or anything hurt you. Ever."

Fleur chimed in, "Yeah! I'll fight for us no matter what!"

Lena hugged Rapture in return, then said, "Thanks, you guys." She was feeling a lot better now that Rapture and Fleur were here.

Rapture looked at her, concern clearly in her eyes.
"What had you so shooken up?"

It was obvious-- everything seemed haunting to her. "Everywhere I look, there always seems to be something that haunts me..." Lena shuddered at the thought.

"That's.....strange." Rapture walked. "Weird."

Lena walked along the shoreline once more, unsure what was to come next. She wasn't ready for it, whatever may come.

She walked along.

Fleur gripped her scythe tightly.

"What's wrong?"

Her ears flicked. "Is something the matter?" She rushed to Fleur's side.

Fleur sniffed. "Nothing. There's...a presence."

Rapture looked around.

Lena looked around, her senses tingling. "You're right... there is something here," she said. "I can feel it." Her ears flicked.

"A....person?....But not quite...." Fleur squinted.

"Hmm..." Lena squinted her eyes to get a better view of the approaching figure. "Who is that...?" she murmured.

"Can't tell. Let's get outta here." Rapture walked.

"Right," Lena agreed and nodded. She was ready to burst with speed from the approaching figure.

Well, it was either flight or fight-- and the only option there was flight. So Lena walked away from the approaching figure. She had dared not ask who they were running from-- she just walked away from the figure that was approaching the trio.
