Appearance: XM-01 is a robotic hedgehog with a design based a bit on the Metal Sonic series.  He's primarily red, with chrome silver on his waist, muzzle, inner ears, upper arms, and upper legs.  His lower arms and legs are bulkier than other Metal units and more closely resemble the lower arms and legs of a Mega Man character.  These are accented with yellow, diamond-shaped protrusions at the knees and elbows.  His head has 3 large, curved blades running down the middle that simulate hedgehog quills.  His visor takes the shape of scowling eyes and acts as a visual display consisting of several blue LED pixels.  Normally, a pair of pupils are displayed, but this can be changed to suit XM's needs or mood.  His nose is a simple spike, while his cheeks are accented by large screws.  His chest contains a set of engine intakes on either side, and a pair of sleek jet engines protrude from his back.  His right arm ends in a diamond-infused drill, while his left ends in a powerful Plasma Pulse cannon.

Personality:
XM always exudes a childlike curiosity and gentleness that is very uncharacteristic of a robot that appears to be based in part on the Metal Series template.  Due to his intimidating appearance though, as well as his limited operational time, he can be quite socially inept should he be given the chance to interact with a human or Mobian.  His speech is still a bit robotic ans stilted, as he rarely uses contractions and seems to favor more technical terms.  When wandering into cities, he has been known to peek into the windows of both businesses and residential buildings.  He never does this out of any malice though.  He's simply extremely curious and doesn't yet understand the social taboos against staring into windows.  He has also been known to try to talk to anything that appears intelligent to him, from animals to voice-activated appliances.

History
Seeking to create its own Metal Sonic, Machina, a terrorist organization obsessed with robot supremacy, creates its very first Exterminator Model, a robot designed to destroy the group's strongest potential opposition.  Unfortunately, either sabotage or a malfunction caused the new robot to activate before its programming could be complete, causing it to wander away from Machina's base with no killer instinct or combat skills.

The ONLY way you can have your character be friends with a canon character is if it happens in the actual rps on site. THIS INCLUDES METAL VERSIONS
