Beginning of a Journey

Wolf remains quiet as he watches her screen quietly.

With Wolf being so quiet next to her, Reena seemed content to continue what she was doing for the time being. It seemed much of what she was looking at were pictures of the travels of other people and different locations around the world. Some were accompanied by a lot or a little text and she would sometimes pause in scrolling to read these.

Wolf seems content to just lie there next to Reena and look at the pictures and read what he could off the screen.

"Man, I think I need a good beach vacay soon," Reena commented after a while as a set of photos went by depicting several different beaches around the world. "Maybe when the mainland starts getting chilly, I can make a trip south."

"Want to be out near the water and in the sun?" Wolf asks.

"Yeah, it'd be nice for a change, don't you think?" Reena replied, looking down towards him.

"I suppose so. I can't say I'm that big a fan of sand though." Wolf replies, meeting her gaze.

"Not even when it's a nice warm beach?" she asked, "The waves washing up and the wind blowing?"

"Sand is sand regardless of other things around it. Hot sand tends to be more uncomfortable to walk on too." Wolf replies.

"Then swiiim or stay in the shade," Reena replied, "Or wear sandals!"
She gave him a nudge. "I bet you'd have fun if you went with me," she smiled.

"Maybe. I could put up with it of course." he says, "I'm not sure how much fun I'll have following you around there."

He smiles back at her.

"Trust me, the coast has a lot more stuff to do than being here in the middle of the region," Reena assured him, "We could go out sailing and snorkeling, I could totally whoop you in building sand castles... The list is practically endless!"

"Well, there are plenty of things to do everywhere. It just depends on what you like." Wolf replies.

"See? Now you're just challenging me," Reena said, looking down at him, "Now I'm gonna have to take you to the beach to have a good time."

"Well, maybe one day we'll do that." he says.

"Maybe we will," Reena agreed. She grinned broadly.

"And then when I pick you up over my shoulder, I can finish by tossing you into the water." Wolf replies, smirking back.

"See, that's fine!" Reena said, "But then you have to join me and swim and play."

"Nah, I'll just leave you for the fish at that point." he replies.

"Awww." Reena pouted at him. "You're such a stick in the mud sometimes," she teased, "I bet you'd get bored just sitting in the shade while I have all the fun."

"I find sitting in the shade to be pretty good, especially if it's comfortable there." he replies.

The Klee Kai rolled her eyes.
"Bah, you're impossible," she said. She was still smiling, however, as she turned her attention back to her screen.

Wolf smirks slightly and he looks back towards the laptop screen as well.

With nothing else to really do in the meantime, Reena kept on toying with her laptop. She made some commentary to Wolf every now and then about some things and different places she wanted to go, but was otherwise fairly quiet. She probably wouldn't bother doing too much else unless Wolf said something or it got close to check-out time.

Wolf mainly follows Reena's example, following along with what she was doing and whatever the laptop screen was displaying as time ticked past.

As it drew close to check out time, he glances towards her again.

"So... how much longer will it be until we're supposed to get out of here?" he asks.
