Beginning of a Journey

"Nothing makes you laugh?" she asked, raising her eyebrows. "Slapstick? Dirty jokes? Sheesh, bathroom humor?"
She squinted one eye and leaned in closer, eyeing him.
"Are you ticklish?"

"I have no idea what any of those things are..." he replies, "And everyone is ticklish if you find the right spot."

"Guess we'll have to see what we can find, then," Reena said. She grinned a bit afterward. "On both those counts eventually."

"Don't get your hopes up on the second one." Wolf replies, "You've already lost one battle against me."

He smiles slightly.

"I dunno, if I sneak attack you from behind, you might have a hard time prying me off your back while I try to find where you're ticklish at," the dog teased.
Her tail was starting to wag just a little bit. She seemed to like the general idea of rough-housing around.

"Well, I'll try not to hit you by accident if you surprise me. I make no promises though." Wolf replies, "Otherwise, I'll just see if I can sit on you or something."

"Ohhh yeah, I'm gonna get past the chewy gumball exterior you have and find the melty mushy center I know you've got!" Reena taunted him, "And sitting on me won't keep my paws from roaming!"
To prove her point, she lifted up both paws and proceeded to wriggle her fingers at Wolf.

"It will if I'm squishing the air out of you." he replies, offering her a slight smile, "And then we'll see how you fare when I turn the situation around on you."

"You'd better watch out," Reena warned with a grin, "When I get tickled, I lose control of my limbs. If you get whacked, it's not my fault!"

"If you started the tickle fight, then of course it's your fault." he replies.

"No one says you have to tickle me back, though!" Reena pointed out, "You could just run away and then not worry about getting kicked if you tickle me."

"Ah, but then you'll assume you can tickle me without consequence, which will encourage you to try more." he replies.

"Not if you ask me not to tickle you," Reena replied, "Then I'll just save it for special occasions."

Wolf tilts his head to one side.

"Special occasions?" he repeats, clearly not understanding what she might be referring to.

"Yeah. When it's appropriate," Reena replied. She still had a grin on her face. "Like if we're having a debate and I'm losing. Or if I need to make you laugh and we still haven't found anything else that makes you laugh."

"Oh, okay. I guess that makes sense.." he replies.

"Which brings us back to our first topic!"
Reena turned her attention back to her computer.
"It's time to find something that makes you laugh. Or, y'know, somethin' to kill time with."
Her eyes lit up and she looked back at Wolf.
"How about people doing dumb stuff and falling off of things?" she asked.

"We may as well give it a try." he replies, "Although that really doesn't sound funny. People can get hurt like that."

"Yeah, but if they brought it on themselves, it's funny sometimes," Reena pointed out, "Besides, we have to start somewhere!"
She turned back to her laptop and started to type into it. Most notably of the words she typed were 'parkour' and 'fail'. Oh boy.

"Okay. We can give it a try." he says.

Within under a minute, Reena had pulled up a page with various thumbnail images. She chose to just click on the first one, which opened up a video.

As the video started to play, it seemed to mostly feature a compilation of various people running through modern areas, jumping, running, and climbing over just about anything. Of course, they would all inevitably screw up, falling off of things or tripping or missing their target. And it seemed that in each video, the person filming, most often a friend of the starring subject, would start to laugh before running over to check on their friend. Fortunately, most of the people, generally adolescent males, were somewhat quick to pull themselves to their feet, depending on the blow they took, and seemed to be laughing as well before the video would cut to the next clip.

"What are these people doing?" Wolf asks as he watches the people in the videos attempting and occasionally succeeding with their parkour maneuvers.

"Parkour," Reena replied, "It's, like, where people go and try to run and climb their way all around cities and stuff. And I think a big part of it is doing it fast and without stopping? A lot of it is actually pretty cool, but I don't think I'd ever try it. As you can see, when you mess up, it hurts."

"Huh... Might be interesting to see it done properly." he says.

"Oh, it is! Wanna see some?" Reena asked as the video was drawing close to its end. It didn't seem very long.
