Selling Away Their Innocence - Page 3 Empty Re: Selling Away Their Innocence

Lin simply scoffed at the spray and pray tactic being used against her. When she finally noticed a pattern in the attacks, Lin climbed up one of the many trees that she was nearby. She sat upon a high vantage point on a tree and changed her ammo out for nonlethal rounds. The forest provided good cover and good visibility as long as Lin was covered by the natural camouflage and could see her targets. Other places were good sniping positions but would leave her vulnerable to an attack as well. Raven's arm was malfunctioning and refused to come off. Even if Raven were to take his robotic arm off, the damage to his nerves would be permanent unless a professional knowledged in bionics was nearby and ready. By calculating the wind direction, effective range of her weapon, and trajectory, Lin managed to place a nonlethal shot right at Raven's head. Raven was knocked out immediately. Lin ceased her attacks, knowing that the Slayer Squad got what they came for.
"Heroes or those of you who may think you're heroes," an authoritative, feminine voice called out from above. "Cease your attacks." Just then, the blades of an active helicopter were heard. Above in the sky, a heavily armoured helicopter hovered right above everyone's heads. Attached to the bottom was a megaphone where the authoritative voice originated from. "Attack and you'll all regret it," the voice warned. The helicopter landed in the clearing near the numbers station yet no one still managed to realize that the Mobian Travis was on top of the numbers station. The doors slid open and the boss of the Slayer Squad stepped out and onto the battlefield. "Gahiji! Lin," she called out. "Stand down and regroup." Both Gahiji and Lin replied by clearly saying with respect, "Yes, Boss!" Gahiji showed his restraint by refusing to fight Washon'Jour even though she was clearly attacking him.
It took Lin a while to arrive but she did. The Boss, Kelly Wilson, looked at the group and then looked over at Travis. "I know why you all are here," Kelly stated. "That village is destroyed by the way along with the others Gahiji kidnapped kids from. The kids we've taken are orphans now." Kelly paced back and forth before stating, "It is admirable that nearly all of you are here for unselfish reasons. The only one here who is selfish is the green fox and her little whelp." Kelly stared at Washon'Jour with her cold, lifeless eyes before looking up at the group. "Let's make a deal," she offered. "We will compensate you for making the journey to come and rescue these children by giving you money. We will also release all of the Mobian kids except for one. The one we went to keep has a friendship with Travis and no where to go. In return, we wish to operate within the United Federation, Mazuri, Chun-Nan, and Holoska without interference from you or your friends or those you are acquainted with. Also, we want Travis 'Raven' McGable. He is of a... special interest to us. Deal?"

Selling Away Their Innocence - Page 3 Empty Re: Selling Away Their Innocence

Post by Envy the Jealous Thu Oct 29, 2015 12:50 am

Envy got up and watched as Raven was dropped by a nonlethal shot, yet afterwards the firing ceased. A voice ordered them to stop attacking, the cat put Darkedge in the sheath on his back, but was still ready to use it if things got ugly.

A helicopter came down from the recently empty air, a few figures came out of it, and Envy saw the shooter, a fox, come out of the forest. An offer was made, money for their journey and all but one released... So that was Sammie?

Envy did not want to be the only one to take on the Slayer Squad, but he didn't trust them, either. Anyone in tune with the sounds of the world could hear the cat supposedly whispering to himself, when in truth he was discussing the situation silently with the blade on his back.

Blitz and Washon'jour stood shoulder-to-shoulder facing the Slayer Squad, reminded them of the good ol' days when they, Sizam and Odepa were a group to be cautioned with. Blitz spoke first. "Selfish?! I was here for my sister you mongering asshole!" The cylindrical turret droids from earlier popped back at her feet, ready to fire at this squadron of fools. "Now here comes the two best parts: One; I highly doubt any of us can even give you that authority of what you want. Besides, the Android Armada doesn't have acquaintances. Two; you're going to tel me exactly why you went ahead and kidnapped my sister and others if you just wanted two very specific people!"

"And besides!" Washon'jour spoke up. "I ain't done with that flying sack o' shit!" She barked, gesturing toward Gahiji. "That bastard tried to kill me via a nearby Dam that he made explode! And if one thing's for sure, it's the fact that the Quadruple Contractors always get their revenge, one way or another!" The Quadruple Contractors was a title name Blitz, Washon'jour, Sizam, and Odepa all went under while being a Freelance Mercenary Team of 4. The sisters always completed a contract with better than expectations and anyone who crossed them always got killed or crippled if they messed with the Contractors. Of course, it's an old name and they haven't done a contract in a while, but that doesn't mean they don't know how to fight like a team still.

Travis still blended in with the number stations roof with his trench coat, but the helicopter caught his attention, he did hear the felines request, though he did not really know what to believe, he decided to sit and watch for now from his point of view. See if things get too bad; he would attempt to get the children out and escort them to a nearby village perhaps, thinking of this he pulled out what looked like a regular sheet of paper, but they had sketches on it that made it look like a homemade map.

Once things had quieted down again, the wolf begins to quietly observe the arrival of another flying vehicle, and the people who disembarked from it, yet another stranger, another fox too, showed up after a long stretch of waiting.

He stays in hiding as the human in charge of things outlines the situation and her offer. The wolf closes his eyes and offers a silent prayer for all the people that this group has claimed to have killed. It makes him angry that these people have gone out and callously destroyed so many lives and families... something that paralleled an experience from his own past.

~These aren't people.~ he thinks to himself, ~They are all soulless monsters like that fox. They kill for no reason and without remorse.~

He watches as the fox exchanges words with the human.

~Hopefully they'll begin to fight and some or all of them can pay for their crimes.~ he thinks.

His gaze then falls on Raven's unconscious form.

~And while he may be dangerous and misguided at times... he seems like he wants to do the right thing and has tried to protect me. I should do the same for him.~ he thinks.

He quietly lets out a breath, waiting to see how things further unfold and for an opportunity to act.

To assert her dominance, Kelly slapped Washon'Jour as hard as she could. "Mobian," she casually began. "Please stand down and listen. While it is rather amusing that your... contradicting mercenary group has been around for a while, we've been around a lot longer than you or your group has. We are in partnership with GUN and we have the authorization to operate in various areas. Gahiji has already told you all you need to know about why we want Travis and his little, orphan sidekick. We are demanding politely to give us Travis. We've already killed everyone who was ever in relation to him. He has no one. Why should the life of one human, who's killed more than any of us combined, matter to such a Mobian of high stature?" Kelly shifted her attention over to the unconscious Travis and then back at Blitz. "Look at him," she ordered. "Now is the perfect opportunity to end him. If you give us Travis, we will see to it that you are compensated for the emotional distress that all of you have endured. And I will see to it that you get a few hits in on Gahiji, but let me warn you." Kelly grabbed both Blitz and Washon'Jour's shirts and calmly delivered a chilling message. "We have the power to destroy everything you will ever come to love. Come for Travis, and I will personally see to it that everything you've come to know burns both in heaven and in Hell." Kelly then released her grip of the sisters and gave a slight, arrogant smile. "Do we have a deal? Don't worry. Mobians aren't on the list of who to kill. The kids will be released unharmed. As I've stated before, what does the life of one human matter to a bunch of highly, sophisticated Mobians such as yourselves? He has no one and nothing. To let us kill him will be a paradise for him."

Envy looked around at each of the Mobians and each of the Humans, but kept his vision half on the wolf not terribly far from him. He could tell this wolf felt quite the same way... Envy called Gahiji out "You, I remember you. From that incident with the snake." He didn't go into detail about it, but he knew it might just piss Gahiji off.

Upon that he stared directly at Kelly, who was taller than him, he spoke out in slight anger "I can't accept your deal, not with THAT thing around!" He was speaking of Gahiji, and gestured so. He unsheathed Darkedge slightly, prepared to bring this unlawful "Slayer Squad" down.

(I'm not too awfully sure where Blitz has gone to. While Blitz's absence does cause a bit of an issue, I will try my best to work around it. Furthermore, if Blitz does not post a reply tomorrow before or around 5:14 P.M., or whatever the time may be in your guys' area, it will be Insanitorium9's turn. This is all to keep the role play from taking a standstill).

(DO NOT WORRY! I am still alive! As for my sudden leave of absence, I will not speak the details but I was gone for about 5 days {against my will} with a situation that was thrusted upon my well being. I am perfectly okay and all has been settled, apologies for the delay.)

"As long as I get a few beatdowns on that bastard, I don't care what you do." Washon'jour growled while fixing her sleeveless peach shirt, still eyeing Gahiji with a burning passion. While She Rottweiler may not have really done anything, Blitz smacked the woman's hand with a 'Do Not Touch Me' feeling.

Blitz was slowly changing her metallic right arm into her signature chainsaw behind her back without so much as a squeak behind her back, but it was a little weird. Not to mention suspicious. "Here's my terms, O' Mistress of Threatening; Free the kidnapped, lat my sister kill or beat the living shit out of your friend over there, stay away from Green Hill, Lost Forest, White Desert, and the the South Pole Zones. Not to mention the Moon is also where I operate. Agree to those, and you can do whatever you want." Blitz sternly said for most of it, but her voice turned a little creepy with the last sentence. Her sister didn't really object cause it seemed fair, to her anyway.

The wolf continues to watch from concealment as the human and fox trade words and threats while they 'negotiate'. The human's apparent dislike and description of Raven and his circumstances caught the wolf's attention.

~Sounds sort of like a kindred spirit... just lost along a much dark path.~ he thinks.

He looks towards the cat, who seems prepared to fight, despite the odds.

~That one might be biting off more than he can chew...~ he thinks, ~But who am I to judge? I should have left some time ago, yet I still sit here in hiding hoping I can do something to help.~

Focusing his attention back on the human and fox, the wolf continues to watch how events unfold.

"Two against one," Kelly confirmed. "I believe your vote was in vain, cat." Kelly looked at Gahiji Okonjo and then back at the group. "Whatever acts he may have done may be deplorable to you and your morals and even though he is a great, ruthless soldier, I do not care about him. I simply want Travis," Kelly conversed. Her willingness to sacrifice one of her team members all for one man to kill was rather disturbing. Why did Travis mean so much to Kelly for her to throw her teammate out of the way. "Wait... No! What the Hell are you-" Gahiji's sentence was cut off by Kelly clearing her throat. "Gahiji," she calmly began. "You knew the risks of being not only a slaver but a mercenary as well. Whether you survive their torture is based upon luck. If in any event you do survive their torture then come back to base." Kelly then kicked Gahiji's exoskeleton, causing him to scream in pain as he became paralyzed from the pressure being applied to his muscles. Gahiji laid there, helpless against any attack that would come his way. "All yours," Kelly stated as she walked towards an unconscious Travis. "Use the numbers station and play a message with the numbers 24, 83, 1, and 5 and the children will be released. The mines are deactivated." Kelly pressed a button on Travis' device. She didn't seem to notice the wandering wolf hiding in his spot and she didn't notice the Mobian Travis sneaking around. "How long has it been Travis," Kelly asked her former teammate despite knowing that he was knocked out. "20 years? 10 years? You seem well. I'm sorry about your friends and your sidekick. They're all part of a bigger picture that I can't reveal to you, yet. In my opinion, you are the strongest out of everyone except me. Compared to me, we are equal. Not now, not soon, but later, you will understand why I have done the things that I have done. They will not make sense at first, but given time, they will. Whereas many people will misinterpret my intentions, you will be the one to understand my message." She then slipped a piece of paper inside one of his pockets. Kelly sat down beside Travis with her legs crossed, and she stared at Travis before continuing, "To be honest, you felt more like a son to me. We may not be that far apart in age but in experience and wisdom, we are. When the dust has settled and the battle ceased, two legends will begin their final war. One will be sacrificed to a greater cause while the other lives FOR a greater cause. None of the others understand, but you do. Our final battle will determine which will live on to create a legacy." After Kelly's speech, she pressed several buttons on Travis' robotic arm, took the robotic arm off, picked his unconscious body up, and started making her way to the helicopter. From the way it sounded, Kelly seemed to know that Travis "Raven" McGable would survive whatever she was planning to do to him. Lin, sensing that it was time to go, left the defenseless Gahiji to fend for himself and got on the helicopter. Kelly was still making her way to the helicopter.

(Oh it's cool. This role play is based around the MGS franchise so it'll have a lot of twists and turns. Anyways, I'm not gonna state my rule anymore. Everyone should know that after three days, their turn will be skipped if they're involved in my roleplays. Really, this is kind of a prologue to a more complex storyline I have planned. Anyways, if you don't know to react then I guess its Blitz's turn. Sorry if I surprised you.)

(I'm impatient :3......*Points at self* Hypocrite)

Washon'jour smiled in an evil-like fashion as she grabbed Gahiji's upper shirt and brought him to her face. "You and I are gonna get real acquainted, real fast; got me?" She knew he probably could speak after that little gab to paralyze him, but she wasn't complaining. "Have your fun, sis. Cut a finger off for me when you get the chance. I'm gonna go talk to our mysterious group of...acquaintances over there." Blitz stated while her sister solely focused on Gahiji. "Now, where my surgical kit when you need it?"

Blitz walked over and tapped on the woman's shoulder she spoke to earlier. "Just thought I should inform you ahead of time; your friend has about a 92.65% chance of crawling away from my sister alive. Just a side little fact, on a more pressing note; I was hoping I could have a talk with your boss--if you have one--so I can discuss...affiliations..with him or her. A little discussion between the two of us might prove fruitful for both our organizations." She pulled out a USB Drive from her metallic limb and gestured it to the woman. "Take it, f you want. It's my calling frequency in case your boss agrees to have a talk with me."

Selling Away Their Innocence - Page 3 Empty Re: Selling Away Their Innocence

Post by C.S.O. Tue Nov 10, 2015 10:23 pm

The wolf watches as the woman incapacitates one of her companions, leaving him to the foxes, before moving to Raven and speaking to him at length before removing his arm and then picking him up with no apparent difficulty. The wolf is surprised by that apparent display of strength.

Through all of this the wolf wants to act and help Raven, but he felt that on his own he wasn't going to be able to overcome these apparently formidable obstacles. He didn't know if this human woman had any more people there to support her, but he assumed it was likely. Rushing out would be reckless, and he'd been taught that recklessness usually added to your problems rather than solving them. He was still hoping that the foxes might get into a confrontation with the human woman and that might then give him an opportunity to... do something.

But as he continues to watch he sees that hope dashed as the fox joined the human and began discussing something like teaming up. Upon hearing that, the wolf knew it was time to leave. Quickly and without drawing attention if it could be helped.

After offering a silent prayer to Raven and that he would survive whatever trials he was about to endure on his own, and with no small about of regret for abandoning someone who had likely saved him, the wolf turns away from the group assembled before him and begins to sneak away as fast as he dared, doing his best to stay under cover and remain quiet and unnoticed.

Selling Away Their Innocence - Page 3 Empty Re: Selling Away Their Innocence

Post by The_Terror Tue Nov 10, 2015 11:09 pm

"Honey," Kelly replied. "I am the Boss." When Kelly said that, her body language gave away a sign that Kelly took great pride in announcing she was the boss. She took the USB drive before putting an unconscious Raven onto the helicopter. "We will be in touch," Kelly said as she hopped on the helicopter. Lin, the fox that had been firing upon the group, stared at Blitz with gleam of curiosity in her eyes. She wanted to get to know Blitz better as a friend. This was actually the first time that she wished to establish a friendly relationship. Usually, Lin would prove herself to everyone, but Blitz was different yet she didn't understand why. "Remember," Kelly stated to Blitz. "Don't prove others. Prove yourself." The helicopter pilot ascended into the sky. Whatever would happen to Travis would now be final.
A few minutes later, both the Mobian and the human children were released out into the open. With no sense of real direction, they split into groups and began walking towards what used to be their homes. When they made the horrifying discovery that their homes and parent's were exterminated, they broke down and cried. They were alone in a dark world where evil, uncaring people ruled. Soon, they wiped their tears and began walking aimlessly in search for a new home.
Hours later above the Eastern Sea, Travis was struggling in his binds. "Awake are we," Kelly asked, staring down at the prone, defenseless Travis. "Kelly, what the Hell are you doing," Travis asked, getting up to his knees. Kelly pushed a button and the helicopter's doors slid open with a hiss. The helicopter hovered above the sea, leaving enough time to let Kelly have her way with Travis. "Doesn't matter," Kelly responded to Travis' question. Sensing that even if he were to fight back, Travis knew that he was looking Death right in her soulless eyes. Death was a beautiful women with a sick sense of humor. She could take anyone she pleased to do away with. Kelly put in a cassette tape in its player and a song titled "Is There Anybody Out There" by Pink Floyd began playing loudly. Kelly taped the cassette player to Travis' chest before saying, "May the Afterlife, if there is one and if you get there, treat you better than this one has." Kelly, making a macabre decision via request from Gahiji, took Travis' other arm away. The act was too gruesome to even detail. Travis screamed in agony as his other arm was taken away by Kelly. Finally, with a calm demeanor, Kelly took out a gun and shot Travis point blank in the head, causing him to fall backwards and into the sea. "Let's hope you survive that," muttered Kelly. "Time to go!" Lin had watched the whole event.
The termination of Travis merely meant one less competitor to Lin. The helicopter pilot closed the helicopter's doors and flew off into the horizon, never to be seen again.

A Mobian couple were walking along the beach, exchanging words of affection between each other. "I love you so much," the male hedgehog told his lover, a female Fox. "And I love you, too," the fox exchanged. As the couple walked along the beach, they saw a body of a human with no arms off in the distance. It was Travis. Somehow, the currents had brought him to the beach through some miracle. The couple rushed to aid Travis. They examined his body and checked for a pulse. He was somehow alive, but barely. It was absolute luck that Travis was alive even if he was on the verge of death. "Help," the hedgehog cried out. "Can someone help us?!"

(Pink Floyd is awesome, mate!)

Envy watched as the  helicopter took flight and left the area, then he was hit by a realization: Gahiji destroyed the homes of the children... He was pissed, and the conversation between Blitz and Kelly left him in a bit of a thinking state, for a few seconds, that is. Envy whipped around at Gahiji, yelling profanities, "You bastard, I'll make sure you never leave here alive!"

This was not true, as the cat didn't have the heart to kill him, all he did was charge at the incapacitated Slayer Squad member with some magical runes covering the lower parts of both his arms. Prepared to use one of his more powerful "organized" (if you can call it that) attacks. In his mind he swore to himself he would stop the Slayer Squad at all costs, for their crimes.

Blitz's left ear flicked at the cat and she knew exactly what was going to happen. She quickly pulled up her .44 Magnum Revolver and pointed it straight at said cat. "Interrupt my sisters revenge, and you'll be dealing with something more powerful that yourself, feline." She threatened while Washon'jour began to drag Gahiji's body toward the direction that Blitz had parked her jet. Washon'jour held on to the sedative syringe she got from the bag Blitz carried just in case Gahiji started to gain control over his body again.

The wolf wastes little time in clearing out of the area, a great sense of sadness hanging over him for the events that had transpired and his powerlessness to stop them.

With no other alternatives available, the wolf heads off, wanting to get as far from this place as possible before anything worse than what had already transpired could occur.

Selling Away Their Innocence - Page 3 Empty Re: Selling Away Their Innocence

Post by The_Terror Sun Nov 15, 2015 9:58 pm

Gahiji was left defenseless against Blitz's sister, the Slayer Squad had accomplished their mission, and Malware, an unstable, yet potential ally was now caught in the crosshairs of this whole entire calamity. Six months later in a European country, a weakened Travis awoke to the sound of a man's voice. "Awake, are we," the man, who, in Travis' vision, was nothing more but a messy blur of colors, asked. Travis' vision finally corrected itself and he saw an old man hovering above him with a protective, calm, friendly look on his face. "Good," the man said with a smile on his face. "What's your name? Can you tell me your name?" Travis managed to conjure up enough energy to at least mutter his own name. In fact, his name was all that he could remember. Everything else that Travis previously remembered was just a big muck-up of confusion and lost memories. "Travis? That's a good name," the old man complimented.
Travis observed the old man's features. The old man had a narrow jaw, small ears, bony cheeks, brown eyes, a white beard along with short, white hair, and a long nose. By the looks of his clothes, Travis deduced that this man was a doctor of some sort. "I am Dr. Luganov," the old man stated as he took the bandages that were wrapped around Travis' head off. "There we go," exclaimed the doctor. "Now all the ladies can see your handsome face, huh." Travis wanted to smile, but when he tried to, he felt immense pain course through his body. "Travis," the old man called in a tone that sounded as if something bad was about to happen. "Try to remain calm as best as you can. Travis.... you were in a coma for six months."

(Cliffhanger. Nice...)
