Story of Us: Blood lust for gold

Amber winced. By this time her small wings were still raw. "Careful."

"We have to go now." He said 

Amber nodded as the small group ran out.

James was on the outside walking towards the castle. He spotted a figure near the entrance.

Lena was back. "Are... Are we leaving?"

"Yea. We're  gonna-"

The ram covered her mouth. Several dark figures passed them  from the other hall. 

"sorry" she mouthed

He then grabbed her hand ran out of that hall.

A large red dragon stood outside the doors in what looked like a black suit.

Lena held to amber. Scared.

James walked up to the dragon "friend or foe?"

"Dont be scared.. Amber's here." She whispered.

THe ram then stopped once again. "Go out the back."He said "THis is as far as I can go."

"Wait why Zeke...?"

"Just go... or else I wont share.'He said turning..

Share.... share wha- . . . ohh... That ram better come back. She thought running with lena on her back.

"Depends. who do you work for?"He saked. His stature was quite large than normaldragons.

"Not jasper" James said. "He took a friend of mine and my daughter."

Lena held on. "I smell daddy he's just outside"

"Oh thank god." She said jumping through an open window. She dropped a couple of storys but that was no problem for her. A jolt of pain rushed though her body as she landed but it quickly went away due to he adrenaline rush. She ran around the castle, within the bushes. Just as she was about to curve off the next corner, which would face the front of the castle, she stopped. She set Lena down and gave her the motion to be silent. 

As she looked though the bushes, she could see a red beefed up Dragon, and Lena/June's parents. She held back Lena so that she didn't run out. 

"Well," the red dragon bellowed. "I'm glad to have met you. James.. Sarah."

"Who is this... freak.?" She whispered to James.

"I don't know but if I don't get amber and Lena out of their soon I might go into a blood rage."

Lena held on. Staying quiet as instructed.

"A blood rage? Now that I would like to see." He said crossing his arms. "I'm quite surprised you don't remember me... Vortex?"

Amber crouched. Vortex... Jasper mentioned about him way back...

"Oh now I remember you. The freak who couldn't beat me in a figh." James said. "Get out of my way vortex I'm here for my daughter and your not gonna stop me"

"I've gotten better as years passed." He said looking over to him. He stepped aside. "Go right ahead on in." He said stepping aside. 

Sarah was the first to jump the gun, runnin into the castle.

James smirked.his eyes shifted to the bushes. Then to him. "Hey how about a round for old times sake."

Lena knew what he was tryin and whispered. Her ear. "He's gonna distract him"

Amber nodded. If she could, she would just simpily fly them out...but she cant think that she could even lift herself. 

"I'd like to see you try." Vortex beaconed him.

Lena placed her hands on her wings healing them quickly avoiding any pain. 

James smiled. "You first roach breath"

"It's on Bruses." He said lunging. Just as he Lundged, amber ran out with Lena.

Vortex shifted his eyes over to them and shot a large thorn twoards them. Amber looked back to hear something spirling. She covered Lena's head and tumbled. "Go!" She yelled to lena as she threw out her hands, green energy blasts left her hands. 

Vortex flinched back upon suprise. "What a gal." he said trying to regain his vision. Just as he could see again, they were gone.

James growled. Slamming him in the nec knocking him out.

Lena sniffled hidding. 

"Sarah! I found thm!"

She didn't respond. Vortex chuckled as he used a portal to excape.

Amber scooped her up. "it's okay, It's okay. Sweettooth is here."She said holding her close as she ran away.

James quickly ran in. "Sarah!"

Lena held on. ""I want my mommy"

"You'll see her when we get back to your house."

"Not one step." Jasper said holding a gun beside her head. "You couldn't just leave it be..." He wore a red suit with black lather gloves.

"What was I suppose to do let you keep my daughter!"

Lena sniffled . Crying. "Mommy!"

"Eventually i was going to give her back."

"You god dam monster."Sarah grunted .

Jasper made the gun disappear and he grabbed her hair."I brought you into this world... i can easily take you out."

Sarah squirmed in is grip. "stop!"

James slammed jasper away making him let go of her. "Stay away from my family!"

Sarah Gasped. "D-Don't let him t-touch me." she shivered. 

Jasper got up and rubbed his back. "She'll definitely be going back." 

"No!"

Jasper rolled his neck around and took his gloves off.

James snarled as his blades came out of every part of his body. "Sarah get out of here! You want her jasper? Over my lifeless body!"

"one way or another, She'll be taken back." He said watching her leave. "If you wouldn't have bothered. If you would have just left Amber to me to begin with, we wouldn't be here." He said standing strongly.
