CYOA: Sudden Vanishment
This is a Choose Your Own Adventure - a comic-like game where you suggest commands, and the character performs them. Commands chosen will be randomised, yet idiotic and inapproriate commands will be ignored. This is a game for fun, and I'll be putting effort into this, so don't think you're being 'funny' by wasting my time with stupidity.
Commands must be given like this:
>Character does this
Any without that system will be ignored.
Also, commands can be repeated more than once. The more it is repeated, in fact, the more chance it has of being chosen by the random number generator.
Now sit back, relax, and enjoy the unfolding story.
---
You are Jonathan White, private investigator. You excel at murder cases, to the point where many of the police force seek you for help. But they are morons, incompetent morons, and you've decided to take this case on yourself, highly confident in your abilities.
There has been a disappearance.
Very sudden, and no-one expected it. Rich fellow, a chef, yet lived by himself. Assumed too arrogant to attract female (or male) attention to have any sort of company. No motive to leave. But you have just arrived at this extravagant home. Surely there must be clues here?
So, what do you do?

Instincts tell you that moving deeper within this large house would be the wisest choice, and staying in this room would just be wasting time. You don't have long here, after all. As you're walking, however, you pass by a large staircase which leads to the upper floors, and in front of you is a door. You can't tell if it is locked or unlocked. Most likely, it leads to other rooms on the ground floor.
Where now?

Re: CYOA: Sudden Vanishment
You ignore the temptation to give a very thorough critique on works of 'art' in this place. Why, if you didn't know any better, you would say they almost looked all the same. You were always one for practicality after all, not art.
You check the door at the end of the first floor, and lo and behold it is unlocked! You pry open the door with a very satisfying creak, only to be greeted with the cold, hard blanket of darkness. Hello, old friend.
You can hardly see in front of your eyes, and opening the door behind you wouldn't shed much light either. Yet from the glimpses of tabletops and the appliances hung on the walls, you come to the conclusion that this is indeed the kitchen, and the lights are turned off.
What now?

((Sorry for lack of updates. No internet on computer, so unable to do much. Feel free to keep throwing commands for when I get back.
No really. Please do. The lack of responses (But I'm super duper grateful for those replying) I'm getting is really making me want to quit this little project considering all it takes is a few words at most.))
