Shpooky Shenanigans

A new role, as an antagonist for a new movie, with a fairly decent pay. That was what the letter that one particular hedgehog received in the mail contained. What was odd, though, was that there was no company details, other than a logo, with a large circle and what seemed to be a... Bat in the middle, as well as the name 'Frigid pictures'. There was no return address either, then again, with the address on the letter, he presumed this was their base of operations, whatever this 'frigid pictures' was.

Days later, Caen was standing in front of a large mansion, at the dead of night. There was little light, save for the moon and a single lit lantern outside of the house. The gates at the front were old, and rusted. To say the least, the place looked... Sketchy. Alas, Caen was now curious, and, instead of turning back, like a normal Mobian, he pushed the gate open, which creaked with the sheer age of the metal that made up this gate. He continued inside, confident that any presumed threat wouldn't be difficult to deal with. Surely he's been through worse, right?

He climbed up the stone steps, coming closer and closer to the darkened house, with rotten wooden panels on the side.

It had been a very long time since he had ever received a letter from anyone, you don't get many postcards if your day to day life consists of selling beer to criminals, yet a letter had passed trough his door; it was from an organisation called "Frigid Pictures" and it detailed a position as a consultant for some of the atmosphere and sets involved in one of their new films. "what is this crud" kurezai said in a confused/irritated tone. He wasn't in the mood for any chain letter, ya know the kind that asks you send money to a Nigerian prince for 72 virgins or a hoax but he pondered it anyways, business was slow recently and he thought a day away talking with a business suit about random yakuza crap would be a half-decent distraction.

He made his way to the destination detailed on the letter but it was a mansion and not a penthouse like he thought he would find himself, he wasn't complaining since heights weren't his forte. The gate was already open and the door was ajar so by this stage he guessed things weren't what they seemed, he almost turned back but he had already moved on out here and asked his friend to look after the bar for the day just to be safe. Against better judgement, he walked inside and just straight up prayed some jackass hadn't baited him just to introduce his favourite knife Stabby Mc Steb stab.

"This can't be right" Sunny looked up at the tall mahogany door with a eyebrow raised beneath her visor. The neatly folded letter within her pocket had said there was a collection of expensive metals somewhere on this site. One of which was solarium, an extremely malleable non-ferrous metal capable of withstanding extreme temperatures and stretching. It was of no use to her as it stood, but having such a material could come in handy for one of her future projects.

None the less something was shady. Her workshop wasn't exactly addressed as most houses and labs were so how the letter arrived was still a mystery, and the logo on it was far from legitimate. She had scanned it and ran the outcome through her database several times without any matches on her way to the ancient mansion. 

'It's a trap!!1!' Something in her circuitry kept nagging her, but the thrill seeking echidna within her couldn't help but long for an adventure, and whatever else this place could bring. A smirk spread on her face as she went up the stairs and knocked. 

Surprisingly, the door just slid open. 

"Ooooo~ this just keeps getting better..."

In the darkness, Caen noticed two other enter the building. Obviously, seeing that the other hedgehog and this echidna entered, Caen presumed that this was, indeed the place. People generally don't just walk into abandoned houses at night, right? The door was already open by the time he reached it, so he headed in.

As he entered, candles attached to the walls all seemed to flicker to life at once, revealing the room to be lavishly furnishes, with a claret rug and a large, grand staircase, with beautifully carved wooden banisters. The walls themselves were covered in shiny wooden panelling, which seemed to have some form of coat of arms carved into it. This room was a stark contrast from the outside, to say the least.

"Well, this is certainly an interesting location for auditions," Caen pointed out to noone in particular. Him speaking may have gotten the attention from the others who had entered the building.

When kurezai entered the building he had noticed there was a red hedgehog dressed in rather detailed clothing, like he got yanked from the Victorian times. He started thinking about how this entire scenario was borderline improbable but it was happing and while it hadn’t hurt him yet, it was still unsettling to quite a large degree. He tried talking to the hog before him but he said “Well, this is certainly an interesting location for auditions”.  “Heck, this is where the auditions are?” he replied before whispering to himself "Then why the hell did they ask me for set advice”. He turned around to get a view of the outside again but he ended up staring right into the face of a mechanised echidna. He pretended that he didn’t see that as his face went pale. He probably decided that he was currently on macademia past and that he was going completely mad.

This was ridiculously uncomfortable. The grey hedgehog stared her in the face, he was so shocked she couldn't tell his color. Grey? Pink? Whatever it was she didn't like it. The look he gave and the proximity. She always got that look when people saw her cybernetic arm, usually they'd assume she was one of Robotnic's hench-men or hench-women. This had it's pros and cons. She could easily muscle her way into a pasta place and get a free meal( granted there were no freedom fighters lounging around).

With a quick scan of his face she determined his name, age and town of birth. She didn't need to know anything else, she didn't want to either. If she wanted, Sunny could see what he was watching last night but she found from previous experiences that doing so could result in some...interesting events. She had once downloaded a virus changed her vocal processor into that of a moe anime girl. She could help calling all around her "Senpai~~~~"


"Move it Curry-zai" She pushed him out of the way and walked into the center of the walk way. At that point she got a good look at the other hedgehog in the room. She scanned him too for good measure, but she was already aware of the practicing thespian. He had been in a few plays around Mobius, she would ready the reviews before she fell asleep to bore her. 

"Tch, two hedgehogs? Why aren't I surprised" She muttered before readying her plasma gun discreetly "I dunno what y'all want, but this here house is mine to scavenge. Move it or lose it!" With a sassy point of her nose she signaled them towards the exit, keeping her expression blank. Though she couldn't deny, the angle of the light through the door bouncing off her dip dyed yellow spines was amazing. She almost felt like one of those TV villains she looked up to...
