Finally a Casual roleplay

So! There are some people that surely need to interact more with this forum (Like me) So I thought it was time for me to start a roleplay! Here’s my idea.


This rp will be pretty casual. That means just casual chatting and character development. No real action, except of course when it eventually turns out in action, when characters wants to have it that way. For such an rp we will pick an easy location, such as the park!  


So the rules are fairly simple. Have your character meet up with the other group of characters randomly, let them be able to meet new people, and start building a conversation!


This will be a canon roleplay. As far as posts length goes, try to aim towards a ‘not too long, not too short’ kind of size. By that I mean to try and make a post that is around 2 to 4 paragraphs, unless there’s literally nothing to go on. Try not to overdo it, but give some nice details to how your characters behave!


This roleplay is meant for people that are willing to participate in a more casual roleplay, with not too much going on, except for their own characteristics.


Anybody who would be interested in this rp should reply. If you have any questions you can post them here as well, as well as during the rp itself.

I really liked collabing on this with you! And I would love for some people to jump on in here and throw ideas around. We need a lot more development rps around here so all our characters can interact and become at least acquaintances? 
I mean as there's not a lot of people any of my OCs know anyways, so it would be good to expand on the roster! :3

Hmmm... I might be inclined to join this. Wolf could always use more friends going forward.

Always up for some more general casual stuff personally! Need to get more involved here, and general interaction is always fun!

Hopefully more people may feel interested to join in on this! While we were chatting about it before, we came to the conclusion that action wouldn't be the top priority as we just want some character development. So, if anyone is interested in maybe working out how everyone will meet?  Whether it ends up being intentional or maybe a complete accident due to clumsyness, it would really be your decision to make! Just as long as it obviously makes sense I guess? 

Also, anyone who is interested, don't be afraid to throw some ideas out to help fill up the rp as we don't want it to go stale too soon! I mean the likes of small plots, like maybe they want to play a game on the grass, or possibly even going to get ice cream if the weather is nice and sunny as a bonding experience or whatever you think would work out depending on your character! Just throwing some words at you all to see if anything would be of interest. Don't be shy to throw some stuff back at us! :3

So I'm probably going to use Bou, because I haven't used him in a proper way for a long time. I'd expect clumsyness to be a big factor in meeting, except if Bou already knows one of your characters. Then he'll immediately home in on you.

What about the weather? I was thinking of a pretty hot summer day, because that's coming soon in real life. Maybe hide under trees for some cold shadow? What are your ideas?

Would I still be able to join? I'd like to do an RP that isn't too action-y, for once, y'know?

So maybe depending on how full-up this gets, I'm idly considering joining in. I'm not usually one for casual, but I think it's because I'm not good at it so maybe I should practice. -w- Not for sure in or out, no idea which character I'll throw in either, but I'll keep an eye on the topic!

Don't have too much in terms of suggestions, but if it's a hot summer day, I've seen some parks with little water fun areas, water shooting out of the ground and such, usually for kids, but c'mon. Growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. It's possible some could gather underneath something calmer emitting cooling mist to get refreshed.

Sports are apparently a thing as well, but I'm the last one to ask about sports. Nailing somebody in the back with a sport ball is a "fun" way to meet them, though. Bonus points for a ricochet that hits multiple people. :P Wreck their snack or drink? Well well, obligated now to walk with them to go buy them another and chat on the way.

A snack cart of any sort rolling in is also a good way to bring people together, like you guys mentioned. Ice cream would be in my top choices, second only to snowcones.

Weird stuff apparently happens at park lakes/ponds too? But all I can think of right now are paddleboats so no big ideas there yet.

I'm a bit interested. Casual RPs are always a good chance to build a character, even if they aren't directly interacting with people face to face. I honestly wonder why there aren't just more "City" Rps with people walking around doing their day-to-day things. Maybe I'm showing my age, but those seemed to be common at a few of the forums I frequented in the past.

I think having it be a very hot day would be really good as it gets some people out in the sun and it brings out the kid in all of us. Age is only a number after all! 

I think I would be inclined to use Yukiko because I can have her suffer in the hot sun I mean so she can enjoy some quality time meeting some new people and possibly slowly get over her anxiety of talking to others. 

I think Bou wanted to have maybe around six rpers at Max to see how it would go with posting and such and if it goes well then more can join. It's completely up to him though, but I'm sure we all know to keep notifications on the site for updating! 

I think for something to possibly do is have a park water fight at some point? Where some kids maybe have some waterguns and are playing and maybe everyone starts joining in with water balloons and the like? It would be fun to do and it would show a little action but not in a serious sense. It would also, again bring the kids out in the older characters :')

So I didn't expect so much animo for such a thing. Never before did I get any replies to rp plans, so this makes me quite glad. Thankz guiz c:

First of all I want to say that there have been some good suggestions from you guys! I myself would never think about some of your ideas, still, they look pretty fun to be used. Now that that's said, I want everybody to know that eventhough I won't be using all, if any of your ideas, I urge you to implement them yourself if you feel like things are running dry or if you really want to use your idea. I don't want to be the leader of this rp in a way that I only get to choose when the story progresses. That's up to all of us. I think we can all handle it, seeing as I've seen only experienced roleplayers on this topic (At least from my point of view).

Secondly, about the amount of people joining, I did say originally that I felt like 6 people were the max, but I don't see it as too much of a problem. I think it is useful in some kind of way, because it gives the less regular posters some more time to think up of something to write about. Seven people are okay to me! But I guess that does mean that the rp will be closed and there are no free spots left. This does mean that Storm Wave can just join in and Froshana doesn't have to feel bad about joining.

Any objections can be posted here, new ideas can be posted here as well, even when the rp has already started. You could also do it in the SRN Discord, but I don't think Froshana and C.S.O are in that one. If anything personal, PM me.

So I think that's everything! I'll write up an intro as soon as possible and then we'll start!

The topic will be: A Hot Park Mess. Any better suggestions are gladly appreciated.
