The New Kid

It was at dusk.. Sun was setting gorgeously over Station Square.. The sky was a beautiful bright orange which can only be described as "the perfect sunset".. At least.. that's what I thought of it! I was on my own, taking the train to the square, I was just on the outskirts of the city.. arriving in about 10 minutes.. I thought mixed feelings.. a feud between optimism and pessimism.. "Unsure what's gonna happen at the city, but I'm sure it's gonna be worthwhile! I can't wait.." and then I thought otherwise.. "Though.. I'll be alone.. with practically nobody.. What exactly am I gonna do? Let's just hope this 100 dollar balance actually gets me a decent night or two in a hotel" I continued to let my feelings debate, as the train continues to roll along the tracks.. Let's just hope the people at the city will be a little bit welcoming.. 8 minutes left..

Meanwhile a male black and grey fured one tailed vulpine child with grey and dark violet sneakers and dark green spiked bracelets was riding on the train next to the human boy. The young fox lad appeared to have dyed violet hair and normal green eyes as the fox child got up from his seat and walked over to the human. 

"Sup."

I turned my gaze from looking at the sunset to the fox and, I gave a quick reply, and in all honesty, this was a reflex to say a quick hello. I mean, who doesn't say no to a what's up?

"Not much, just.. goin' to station square.. What's up with you?"


I was pretty relieved to get into a conversation, that way I can divert from having a optimism pessimism political debate to a rather more chilled out conversation. Besides, it would be a decent time killer.

"Yep, the same. I like to ride trains, they're neat. My name's Grief, who are you?" The child said

"My name is Aiden, pleased to meet ya, Grief." I then held out my hand, implying a handshake, just to make both Grief and I acquaintances. About 5 minutes left on the train ride, and I already got to meet someone. Sweet!

"Likewise!" The fox said as he took his hand and gave it a good shake.

Surprisingly his grip was strangely sturdy and he had a bizarre amount of force in his shake. He gave it an up and down shaking motion that would be quite forceful for a child his age. Of course, Mobians were known for being stronger than they appeared.

"You from Station Square?" Grief asked.

I didn't exactly take it as a surprise that his shake would have a firm grip, when it comes down to it, a lot of people believe that the handshake is a pretty good tell of character, so I'd assume he tried to make a good impression, but that honestly didn't matter, I already thought he was cool.

"Actually, no. I'm from farther west. You from the Square?"


I already started to give Station Square a nickname.

"No, I'm from Siag. Don't tell anyone though." Grief said as he lets go.

"It's kind of a secret. Dad doesn't want G.U.N or anyone to know, alright?" Grief replied

I wasn't planning on randomly telling anyone where this guy was from, so he basically has nothing to worry about. So I just shrugged my shoulders and replied..

"It's not like I tell people their information just casually, so I guess you don't have to worry about me saying anything about that."


It is then that the train comes to a slow stop at the station, and the automated voice announcement, alongside with a digital word display of the current stop lets all the passengers know..

"Good!" Grief simply replied as he nodded his head.

"Time to get off." Grief said as he looked noticed the announcement.

"It appears so.."


I then got myself up, and I made a quick grunt.. I was in a comfy position when sitting down. Then I exited from the train.. Then walking through the station lobby to find the front entrance/exit. I made sure that I still had my twenties all in my pocket, so I basically just dig my hand in there and tried to count how many there were without taking them out..


I still got 5 of them, which means I have 100 bucks on me. Hopefully enough to get myself a hotel room rented out.

Grief goes and hops off the train before looking around.However instead of heading his way the fox proceeded to look at a map that was posted on the side of the the terminal as he walked over to it and observed it. He then looked at the map and ran it over until he saw a sign that says in the direction the local airport was. He nodded his head and began to move that way. As the vulpine moved his foxy tail would comically flutter behind him as he walked. Apparently he wanted to go to the airport even after getting off a train.

I'd then see he'd be doing a different direction than I.. Unsure of where he wanted to go, I decided in curiosity just to ask. 

"Where you goin, Grief?"


I said inquisitively. 

"Dad wants me to help take an airfield. We need it for the war effort. You know, to land jets  and stuff." Grief said rather bluntly.

I kinda got skeptical at the hearing of a war.. But I decided that it was no where in my place to be part of, so I wouldn't ask.

"Alrighty then.. Well, I'm heading off into the Downtown area.. So this might be farewell. Though, we might run into each other again later on, who knows.. But seeya!"


I gave a quick wave, then started heading for the front of the station.

"Bye!"  Grief said as he waved goodbye.

He then turns around and heads outside the terminal. However, after a few moments something odd may take place, Aiden may hear loud thuds and booms coming from right outside the terminal.

While the human and Fox parted ways, a fearsome-looking red robotic Hedgehog curiously watched them from a nearby window.  The wandering machine had finally escaped the pair of drones that had been sent by his creators to neutralize him and bring him in for "repairs."  The bot was a quick learner, and had learned that Machina Scout Drones were programmed to avoid entering heavily populated areas in order to keep the presence of their masters secret.

Seeing the young fox heading in his direction, the red robot quickly turned a corner to stare out of another window.  His visits to major cities in the past had taught him that humans and Mobians feared his kind, and that he was apparently designed to kill them, despite his lack of desire to do so.  Still, he found life-forms to be fascinating, which no doubt fed into his desire not to harm them.

Just then, his proximity sensors detected a small object flying in his direction.  He responded by intercepting the projectile with his drill arm, which pierced through it effortlessly.  He then brought the foreign (to him) object closer to his face to better study it.  It was roughly cylindrical and primarily red, with white text that read "Chaos Cola" running from one side to the other.  The robot rotated his drill to get a 360 degree view of this object, noting that it was silver on either end, and one end had a pull-tab and a small opening.  The other had a few raised letters and numbers on it, which indicated when it was manufactured, although this was unknown to the curious machine.

Resting his drill hand at his side with the soda can still attached, he asked out loud, in a not-entirely-monotone-but-still-synthetic voice, "What is Chaos Cola?"

It's safe to say that this rp may not continue. I was really hopin' to see if more people could join, but my procrastination has a fault as well. I'm giving this rp until after new years day to get things rollin' or else I'll make a new one and leave this one for dead.)

(Sorry I was gonna post I just wasn't sure how to respond to Gamma. I felt like you needed to react to one new person before I stumbled in.)

(I considered deleting the post for a long time, seeing that it seemingly killed this RP.  I might start my own RP for my character and hope it gets some replies.)
