Unlocking the Elemental plane

As most people who have roleplayed with me may know i use an Elemental,Cyril, as my character. But so far i have answered most questions of where he comes from with the same answer. Namely that the realm he originally comes from is sealed and exiting it is pretty much impossible for it's inhabitants unless they would either be summoned by someone. Though there have been one or two people with Elemental chars who had found a different way to get out. But i am getting off-topic. I am looking into starting an RP in which hopefully the Elemental realm gets unsealed once more and make it into a realm to which traveling is once again possible and not just have it as mere background to one of my characters.

This is were i kinda need help. I got one or two ideas on how to do it but i am curious as to what others might think of the idea and to hear suggestions people might have on the subject

I don't think most people know your character is an Elemental whatever that might be???  I just know your character is a "kitsune" that uses crystals.  This is coming from someone that's been here almost a year now actively on the forum.

Here's where I don't think its going to make an interesting RP.  You mention this 'realm' is sealed and the only way to get out is for a character to summon a person from there.  My first question is HOW would anyone know this realm even existed besides from talking to Cyril or someone else from there?  It would have to be clearing known for people to know it exist and maybe be curious to try to break the seal.  Just take a look at some of the other 'lore and factions" around the site to give you an idea on what needs to be done to make it known.  From what is implied that its not very well known at all.

Second, you kinda just slashed out the first statement when you said several people have gotten around that seal.  It makes it sound like a seal which is meant to be really hard to get pass, is easy to get around, basically a not so good seal.  Also why does the seal exist, is there a reason why its there?  There quite a bit of holes in the idea that just seems to need a lot of adjusting to it to make it work.

Lastly this one is more on a personal standpoint, is that this has quite a lot of focus on your character and the realm they are from.  I tend to join Roleplays that are more open and not centered about one character since they are more 'open' for people to join and kind of have freedom of how the direction of the RP goes. I would really think hard on the idea to make it a way to drum up people entering the RP.

How several got around the seal i do not know as the characters that did are not mine but Burn's and Spekkal's. So that part i'd have to ask them to explain.

I am trying to work out how people could have heard from that realm without having heard from it from a inhabitant of it. Perhaps via stories passed down through families originating from those who had been around when the Elementals were still free to roam other worlds. And if it comes to a proper idea i'll probably  wont be using Cyril that much, if at all to avoid it being too much centered around him. Most likely i'll just be using him at the start to get things rolling or as merely a siderole with as few impact on the plot as doable.

You might want to get that settled since just seems like a huge 'What" in the idea and story.

The idea of stories being passed down might work out, really just need to thing over the HOW in the whole story to have something you can hit the ground running with.  Also can suggest starting the thread with him telling the story and how to possible break it but then sorta post like your describing what going on?  Basically how some 'event' based RPs are.

Otherwise i might try and see if the idea that the Elementals who bypassed the seal are seen as too weak to be a threat. I'll work on writing out different classes for the elementals with the higher class they are in the more they would be restricted in their movements. Probably lowest class being able to bypass the seal for a limited amount of time,class above that being able to have a small amount of influence and the highest class,the race's leading class having no influence outside their realm at all. Might work out..
