Dark Signal Empty Dark Signal

Post by Smol Marshmallow Sun Aug 26, 2018 8:47 pm

Along the horizon, tucked away within the darkest depths of wilderness of the wolf pack nation lies the once well respected reasearch establishment once known as Virility. Best known for their continous efforts & success in developing vaccinations & antiserums for the benefit of prolonging the lives of the sick & feeble, was now left to perish and wither away, succumbing to nature's feral touch. What was once a modern, pristine building with long, white walls with wide windows to give a sense of openness to the world, white marbled floors all held together by carbon steel, was now a broken image of what was surrounded with great minds brimming with ideas was left deserted. It was rumored that the clean, polished, & respectful facility had it’s dark secrets. Some spoke of the facility with great pride & praised it’s accomplishments, giving them their support as well as funding to continute their experimentations. However others spoke of it to be a testing facility, but not for cures or good of man kind. But rather to alter subjects genetic codes to see the effects of changes in their strands by swapping one genetic trait with that of another & weaponize these creatures & make profit off of their creations by selling them to neighboring countries for war or to their military. The scientists were not the brilliant & kind people that Virility painted them to be, they were barbaric, sadistic with murderous tendencies. Toying with creatures Psychological & Genetic make up by drugging them, opening them up & making sure they feel every cut made from the scapel. When the building suddenly shut down, a handful were happy to hear of this. But what struck as odd, When they shut down they offered no explanation, gov’t officials tried to cover it up as an experimentation gone wrong & a system override. However the once gleaming white walls was now hugged by wild vines to the point of no visiblity of it's former glory. The hall floors covered debris from some fallen points in the ceiling, light fixtures shattered & hanging. On the once white floor scattered were dry pools of blood. Bloody handprints smeared on the wall, some of those which were adult others small, almost child like. Something had clearly gone wrong, unlike facilities that mirrored it across the planet they too held dark secrets that those who once worked in them tried to keep hidden from the rest, projects and practices that went against all ethical means, for what was truly going on down in the depths of this bases was nothing short of atrocity. Who they were seemed like a mystery to all outsiders but a few, a few who were active enough to watch the facilities be destroyed, shut down or abandon, for some it held dark memories of a unspeakable crime. Hidden among the thick lush lands of the border one such facility had suddenly and with out explaination come back online, and with it a massive power surge extenting far and wide, but it was not only energy coming from with in, another strange more unexplained energy was seeping out from the forgotten complex, energy that could light up systems like a pin ball machine, energy powerful enough to cause static to communication and electronic devices, what ever was coming from with in this complex was something unatural and possibly dangerous.
Those who spent much time in the near vicinity of the complex would begin to feel uncomfortable, sick, develope headaches and more, the energy was strong enough to drive people away, though none would know the full extent of what was truly laying just among the thick wilderness of the Wolf pack nation border....... Until now.

(Gonna drop in if you dont mind cause spooky base and all.)

-Just another day another task to for fill, go here and do that, make sure this is fine, also go and explore that place because it may be dangerous or some nonsense like that. However this was not gonna be a simple place to explore according to his Doctor ally who had dispatched him straight away to Northamer to investigate it.

Why did he send him ? Well Lysander had picked up the strange energy reading eminating form a dense location in thick woodland area, this signal was strong enough to warren his attention, and his boots on the ground buddy was sent straight away.

Having no idea what he was gonna walk into the armored figure geared himself with his trusted rifle and standard gear and proceeded to the marked location, going in under night ensured a good chance to get close to see what the hell was generating the signal.

Trekking through lush lands and and dense woods Shrike eventually came to his intended location, by now the signal was powerful the energy reading was off the charts, Shrike had never seen energy this powerful before..worse still, before him..a complex...a abandon looking one at it...and it was coming from with in it.

"Lysander this is Shrike I'v reached the location..no sign of any one...there is an abandon looking base...the signal is coming from with it according to the HUD....what you want me to do ?"

"A base ? Nothing is suppose to be in that region..can't be a old H.R.C I would of known about it...the signal is strong and its remarkably similar to telestatic energy....and you and I both know what that could mean....proceed ahead...explore and find out what you can....Hell if I know what you just stumbled upon be careful...gonna lose communications briefly once you enter the base..the signal is interfering...Lysandre out."

"Wonderful...here I go again..head first into the unknown.....let's see what we can find."

-Shrike readied his weapon, and proceeded onward into the entrance of this lost complex, upon entering he was met with grizzly sight. The place was overgrown..debris littered the area...it was no doubt old..and abandon at least it seemed like it.

What really caught Shrikes attention..was the dry blooded hand prints across the surface and walls...something went down here....something horrific.-

"What the hell happened here....go on inside he said..you gonna be fine he said...."

-Shrike went in deeper but the appearance only got worse as did the strength of the signal..by now even his communication array began to emit static, strange bursts of it but static non the less...then shadows..he was convinced he saw things..only to be put off by fallen debris, with out proper lighting Shrike had to use his flash light to eliminate what there was before him and yet he went deeper. Unaware of what he may find or what was still here.-

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by C.S.O. Tue Aug 28, 2018 12:39 am

He didn't know what it was... but he felt like he was being called towards something. It was a feeling that was both familiar and different all at once. It was very confusing.

It was earlier in the day that he had arrived in the borders of what he had been told was the Wolf Pack Nation. Once he'd heard about there being such a place, he was eager to go and see what was there. It was a chance to be around more people that might have something in common with him. At least they'd mostly be his own species... or close enough.

So, he'd packed up and made his way there. Almost immediately after he arrived, he felt it. He had no idea what it was or where it was.

He'd encountered a similar sort of feeling before that had driven him to travel northward to find its source a few years back. This... feeling also seemed to compel him to go and find it. The only problem was that he had no idea where exactly he needed to go in order to do so. To get a better idea of that, he realized he was going to need some time.

Seemed like he wasn't going to be exploring much of the Wolf Pack Nation right away. Instead, he made a small camp for himself, sat down, and got comfortable. After that, he closed his eyes and focused on the strange feeling he'd picked up.

It was a slow process for him. Having never done anything like this himself, it was a challenge to backtrack this call to its source. It took couple of hours, including a break or two, for him to narrow down the general direction it was coming from. Even then, it wasn't an exact heading for him to follow, but it did make it easier for the next step, trying to determine how far away it might have been.

It took him another hour to realize that he couldn't do it. If someone shouted at you, it was pretty easy to figure out what direction they were in. Figuring how far away they were if you couldn't see them though, good luck with that one.

That left him with one option, he'd just have to head in that direction and hope he made it there.

Packing up his camp, he stood quietly for several moments, focused on the direction he was going and then disappeared.

He reappeared, having traveled many kilometres in the intended direction, and noticed that the feeling had grown stronger. Knowing that he was headed the right way pleased him. Unfortunately, he knew he'd need to rest after that trip, so he could make another and not wear himself down. As such, he spent much of the day drawing closer to his destination.

On his fourth such trip that day, the silver furred wolf reappeared once more, dressed in a light blue shirt and dark grey pants, he had a backpack held in one paw and a duffle bag in the other. He usually needed a few moments to gather himself after making these trips. Just showing up somewhere tended to be disorienting when you didn't know just where it was you were arriving after all.

Unfortunately, he wasn't given those moments.

Almost the instant he arrived, the wolf felt a spike of pain go through his head and he let out a startled cry. He was not ready to cope with the intensity of the feeling he'd been following to this place now that he was here. It was so much stronger than he had been expecting, that it hit him like a physical blow. He lost his grip on the bags he'd been holding and staggered forward.

He was able to open his eyes and he could see what appeared to be the entryway to some sort of run down looking facility ahead of him. But that view was quickly replaced by the sight of the ground rushing up to meet him, and even that faded to black before he hit.

To those unfamiliar with the establishments history & building layout, the facility seemed to have a normal office type feel, nothing out of the ordinary that indicated it was a place of torture & a facilitator in hazardous experimentational projects conducted by its own people. Upon entering the building, vistors are met with what once was the reception area which it's floor were riddled with small bits of broken bloodied glass, debris from the ceiling as well as fallen down beams. Upon closer inspection of the blood stained glass, it wasn't completely dry. Behind the blood smeared front desk lied a mess of scattered papers, some stained with a crimson liquid others torn apart to small bits. There was also many opened filing cabinets which were very well beaten almost as though someone were trying to hurriedly break into them, with very obvious success. Behind the grizzly sight were two very opened dented, stained steel heavy duty doors, past the doors lied a very wide, long hallway. Like the room before, glass was shattered on the floor, lights were hanging off the ceiling by it’s fixtures as well as insulation hung low. There multiple holes & slashes on the walls, but not as though someone had punched them but rather slashed the walls. The holes were very narrow, long holes in the walls. Peculiar to say the least, Along this hallway were multiple rooms, all of which had one large window walls to give a sense of openness as if they had nothing to hide from the world as well as to put vistors at ease. Inside the offices wee flipped over tables, ripped chairs & beat up filing cabients, all with the same slash pattern. All had the same blood pattern consistency aswell, further exploration of the hallway came along another set of dented heavy duty doors, but the dents were deeper in these doors, something about what was behind these doors lied something more omnimous feeling, enough to send chills down ones spine. Another thing that struck as odd was this time these doors were guarded with a security panel which was somehow still active..

Outside of the building, not too far off from the  buildings entryway were two lycan children walking around, guarding the place. One male, one female. The male was of adolescent age, with straight, dark auburn hair riding right above his shoulders. He was tall, slim with bright yellow eyes. His fur was a mix pattern of black & chestnut brown. He seemed to have a scowl on his, reprimanded the girl. The female was smaller & younger in age, around the age of 8. She shared the same bright yellow eyes, her fur colors consisted of black & white stripes. Her hair was long & bright red. She seemed very nervous, afraid of the forest & what was out there. They both wore similar uniforms, He wore a long white leather trench coat with burgundy seams & outline, dark pants & heavy boots. The small girl wore a smiliar small white leather coat but instead of pants she wore a white skirt.

“I don’t know about this, Remington.. This seems very dangerous..” The small girl muttered in fear, wincing preparing herself for his reprimands

“You can’t just give up after a couple of hours, Juniper. if you can’t handle the beginner assignment how do you expect to be at the level of our Alpha? You can’t beat her if you can’t even guard this building.” He responded harshly to her

“You’re 8 years old now, you’re going to go through some very gruesome training if you want to continue on to become a good swordsmen.”

“But what about the rumors? Aren’t you afraid? About what allegedly happened here?”

“It isn’t a rumor! If it was why would be guarding it? Those things that happened, they happened. To keep things like that from happening again, we do this for our owns protection.”  He lectured her intensely, scowling off until something caught his attention when they reached a the faint sight of the buildings entryway. Remington hushed his accomplice before she could speak, “Hush, I see someone over there.. Now, this is were training comes in. You must appraoch them, carefully as to make sure they don’t detect you.”

Juniper nodded, splitting away from him & into the closest boulder. Using it to climb into the nearest tree limb, swiftly jumping from limb to limb.

Remington, something is odd about this person.. they seem to be distraught.. perhaps ill? Could it be from the sudden burst in energy lately?

Perhaps so. Proceed forth, see what’s happening & don’t get caught.

She jumped down from the limbs, she was behind him but keeping her distance of atleast 30ft, hiding in shrubs. She whispered to herself “Just what are you up to..”
As she was about to approach him, she watched him fall & ran to him as his body hit.

“Remington! Come quick!” She kneeled down next to him, rolling his body upwards, making sure his airways are clear & he was breathing

Remington ran over to them, “Guess he succumbed to the unbearable aura.”

“Should we alert the Alpha?”

He nodded, “you know how to do this right?”

She nodded, she stood up & looked out towards the distance, telepathically notfiying the alpha.

“Alpha Ivory, we have an intruder at the entryway of Virility. How should we proceed?”

“Stay up, wait for further instructions. I’ll be there momentairly”

Post by Shrike Marine Tue Aug 28, 2018 11:50 pm

-This had to be one of if not the most disturbing abandon complexes the armored figure had ever set foot in, the sheer ruin, destroyed elements, dry blood and varies other signs that 50 different kinds of utter shit went down here didn't sit well with Shrike, to make matters worse...communications were becoming more and more difficult the further he explored of the area, the readings were off the charts still even just in this area of the complex..regardless..he pressed on.

The complex seemed to have a large contingency of file cabinets in his immediate location, battered and old file cabinets but them non the less, the figure approaches shining the faint light from his rifle onto the beaten metal stand...some one tried really hard to get into it..and managed to do so..what ever was in it was gone.-

"Lysandre..if you could see the shit I am seeing right now...something or things tore this place and who ever was inside of it to shreds..the entire place is just.debris..blood...horrific slash marks in steel...stumbled across beaten up file cabinets..what ever was in is gone..but it seemed like they were bashed open for the contents."

"Understood Shrike, keep your eyes open..still don't know what is inside here...move ahead and see if you can find any markings or names or any thing I could help identify the complex by."

-Shrike marched down the hallway before him..it was rather spaceish, large open rooms on either side of the hall way..all open for any and all to see...more slash marks continued to appeared on the walls of the hall ways, this thing or things had busted its way past heavy reinforced steel doors, if it was still here it would no doubt tear him to shreds should bullets fail.

Shrike yet despite the bad signs continued onward scanning left and right with his weapon to inspect what was around him, the small rooms adjacent across the hall way had tables, chairs and other times ripped to pieces, identical slash marks to the walls..Shrike only paused for a moment before moving ahead, his boots making thuds in what was else a very quiet and eerie place.

As he would go on the energy reading would continue to grow and grow communication was now almost impossible..sudden bursts of static energy came and went from his help as the figure approached a security locked door.-

"Lysandre I'v reached a locked secure door..control panel and all and seems still functional..the energy reading is extremely intense...I feel like what ever is causing it..is behind this door...still no evidence on who this may belong to but I did read a name called..uhh... Virillity..does that ring any bells."

"Base Virillity...no I never heard of the base nor any record in H.R.C of a facility with the name..unless this is a out the charts complex but I highly doubt it...I am monitoring the energy and *static* the signal is very close and very powerful...its beyond *static* That door...I highly suggest the utmost of caution and *static* if making contact engage and withdraw..coms are breaking down *static* going to be loosing communication for a while *static* don't do any thing stupid and come back home in one piece *stick* gather what you can..Lysander out"

-Shrike moved over to the control panel, he hadn't the faintest idea what the code to get past this section would be..his best choice ?...Hit random numbers and hope for the best..if numbers didn't work ? Shoot the console and also pray to up on high that that works, and thus Shrike began to attempt to try caries codes at the door panel.-

'Well lets try this...what could possibly go wrong....fuck it lets try"

The wolf's body was limp as Juniper rolled him over. There was a bit of blood on his muzzle, likely from when he hit the ground, but otherwise he didn't appear to be visibly injured. He was still breathing and his pulse was easily found, but it was slow now. His head lolled to one side. If the two wolves checked his eyes, they would see that they had rolled back in his head.

Clearly, the wolf was unconscious and there was no way to be sure how long it could take for him to wake up again.

After each failed attempt of entering the incorrect security code to bypass, the security panel's alarm sensors would set off a small alarm as an indication of the wrong code had been entered. A computerized voice then came through the small intercom located above the security panel stating, You've almost exceeded the amount of attempts, Please enter the correct code to enter the Observation control room. The voice shut off after making it's message, unclear of what would happen should the incorrect code be entered.

Back outside the facility, After having received the telepathic transmission from an unknown higher up, Juniper knelled back down next to the wolf's unconscious body, cleaning off the blood of his muzzle with the sleeve of her coat.  "The Alphas on her way, Her location isn't too far off from where we are.." She notified her superior officer as she placed her hand over the wolf's forehead to check for any sort of sign of illness.

"Don't get too close, you don't know what his intentions are. He could very well be from the neighboring clans, trying to spy or plot something." Remington scolded her while cautiously, keeping his hand over the hilt of his weapon, which was located on his back. "Make sure you check him for any weapons, perhaps we'll be able to identify which clan he's from."

She reluctantly agreed, starting to search him for any visible weapons.

Located approximately 20 miles East from where the two lycans & wolf were, in a more heavy wooded area There were two more lycans a little older in age from the two before. One female and one male, both with a strong resemblance to each other. The female had very long, brown braided hair with red hues that trailed down to the ground. Her bangs were a silver color with hints of lavender. The male like the female had long hair with the same color hair & bangs. One very noticeable difference in the two lycans were the eyes. The females were green & yellow in both eyes. The males had one green eye & one yellow eye. Both of them scouring through the deep, thickness of the woods until the female received the telepathic transmission from Juniper.

Alpha Ivory, We have an intruder at the entryway of Virility, How should we proceed?

An intruder? Ivory thought to herself, This came across as odd to her as there hasn't been any intruders up until a recent surge in strange aura which seemed to have lured more & more people not only towards the border of the wolf pack nation but also the facility, which wasn't recorded in any map or guides.

Stay put, wait for further instructions. I'll be there momentarily.

She looked up to the male, who was leisurely laying on one of the tree limbs  "Lazarus, We must go to Virility. There's seems to be a situation there, we must investigate it immediately."

"Tch. Just send one of the omega's to deal with it. It's probably nothing but a false alarm anyway. You know the beginners always lose their shit on their first assignment. It's no fun & we're above dealing with that, Ivy. So just hand it off to the next person." He waved his hand off to her, speaking in great annoyance & almost bored.

"We are not above anything, Lazarus. If they are calling for us, directly then it must be something serious. This situation is different, there's an unknown intruder at the entryway of Virility. We need to see if they are of any threat to us or the clan. But if you like, you can go back to the clan grounds & supervise the beginners for the next four full moons." She responded coldly towards him, annoyed at his petulance.

He groaned, sluggishly getting up & jumping down next to her, "Things would be a whole lot different if I was Alpha.."

She glared at him, jabbing her fist into his rib cage sending him flying into a tree. "If you wanted things differently, you should have taken the job when it was offered to you. Now shut up & let's go." She turned her back to him & ran off towards the direction of Virility with Lazarus following behind, while holding his chest.

After a while, Ivory & Lazarus started making their way to the entry way, where they spotted their two familiars & the unconscious body of the silver wolf. She ran to the both of them, demanding to know what happened. "Who's this? What happened here?
"

Juniper knelled to her alpha, bowing her head with Remington doing the same as her, as he spoke "Alpha, We were guarding the place as instructed. During one of our rounds, we noticed this intruder coming about to the facility. We proceeded forth on investigating but when closing in, he collapsed."

Juniper then looked up to her, "His pulse is relatively normal as well as his respiratory rate, I'm almost positive he collapsed to the aura. Judging from his lack of tolerance of said aura leads me to believe he is not from this region nor from any of the neighboring clans. "

"Has he spoken any since you've encountered him?" she asked curiously, confused as to why or how anyone would or could wander around & somehow stumble to this place.

Remington shook his head, "No, Alpha. He hasn't, he hasn't woken since initial contact, How should we proceed?"

Ivory turned her intention to the young child soldier, "How do you believe we should proceed forth with this situation?"

Juniper spoke up nervously, "Based on my findings,i think the best course of action would be to take him back to our nursing aid office at the bureau so he can recover as well as later be questioned as to his whereabouts & intentions. Of course not without supervision."

Lazarus looked off, bored out of his mind while the three discussed as to a solution of what to do about the wolf until something caught his attention. He noticed something off about the facility & heard very faint noises coming from the facility. He shifted his body towards the facility while the two were knelled down,

Ivy, I think there maybe someone inside the facility. There's some very strange commotion coming from there. I'm going to go check it out, don't say anything as to not alarm these two. If there is something here, we need to get them out of here.

Ivory looked up from the two lycans & to Lazarus for moment before turning her attention back to the two.

Proceed as you wish. Keep me posted on what you find, I'll deal with the problem at hand & will join you soon.

Lazarus ran into the entry doors of the facility, skimming around the environment to see for any signs of disturbances amidst the already destructive nature. He walked deeper into the reception area, his footsteps echoing from his heavy boots. His nose twitched, other than the scent of very old blood he noticed one peculiar scent. He followed it to the opened heavy duty doors. He muttered to himself, "this isn't supposed to be opened.." He then proceeded forth, hastily as to not alarm anyone or anything that may have wandered into the hallway. He then heard voices as he stumbled in deeper into the hall before he saw an unfamiliar figure, standing at locked heavy duty doors. Hearing the warning of the final attempt, he grinned mischievously happy to have found some excitement. He came out from his cover & slowly started making his way towards the figure.

"So, I see you're having trouble finding out the code to that there, door. Maybe I can be of some assistance." His voice boomed off the walls, his hand reaching inside of his leather trench coat pocket.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Shrike Marine Thu Aug 30, 2018 3:48 pm

-For all intended reasons Shrike was just winging it, hoping something may just work if not, well he may have to resort to...a far more..permanent solution, cause he was well aware of the alarm being triggered and knew his time would be far shorter, tho he didn't quite know if any one at all would respond to an alarm of a base that...didn't exist...he didn't know nor was taking the risk, he would attempt a few more times still a sharp static burst happened in his helmet com system, another telestatic energy burst, this time much greater. That only mean one thing..what ever was generating the signal..was near by.

The situation was looking really strange and natural, the complex, the strange telestatic energy, the past events of what happened here, it all was a extremely bad sensation, even the vast amount of energy was eventually getting to Shrike, he was not feeling so well but kept himself up right and on the move, he could stomach it, probably because he himself was not really sensitive to such energy flows, being human and all.

"Come on already open the god damn door....if this keeps up Im going to have to blow a hole in this damn thing see what is on the other side and get the fuck out of here..lets keep trying."

-All communications had ceased, the static was far to strong now even to just transmit, tho he had received the last instructions of Lysander, both he and Shrike were convinced that the signal was by Replicant forces and didn't even consider any one else other then that, how wrong they would be. Several more attempts went by but no joy nothing of the sort, this door was not opening and Shrike was going to have to open it the old fashion way...he wouldn't get the chance tho.

Another burst of static came through this time followed by some one entering the entrance, Shrike turned around quickly, there was a shadowy figure coming towards him, the telestatic signal grew greater and greater as it approached, Shrike now muddled by the energy, was also no doubt playing tricks on him, he concluded this had to be Replicants, nothing else would be causing this, nothing natural. Shrike also understood that Replicants shoot on sight by commanders orders and entirely as a defensive measure and need to survive if this was Replicants.

Shrike immediately opened fire as the dark hall sudden lit up, a deafening roar of automatic weapon fire was unleashed as a hailstorm of lead came screaming at the figure, some bullets hit surfaces and the walls, sparks and shrapnel scatter across the area as dust began to be kicked up by the weapons fire, Shrike was attempting to kill the figure believing it to be a Replicant of some sort given the telestatic reading coming from him.

Shrike didn't want to be taken hostage by these guys as those who do are interrogated then killed out right, he would given them the choice and so the figure found himself trapped in the corridor being blasted at by automatic weapons fire.-

"Lysander if you can hear me! I'v made contact with Replicant forces, there is one inside the complex right now at my position, attempting to neutralize threat and extract from the complex...we have to abort this operation Shrike out!"

-And thus the gun fire continued until it stopped by Shrike, waiting for the dust to settle to see if he had killed the target, he waited silently with the smoke covering his position.-

As the group of Lycans decide on their next course of action with the wolf, a change is slowly coming over him. His body was surrounded by a very faint aura that slowly was gathering in intensity. It had begun just before the alpha and her companion arrived, but would have been easily missed. Even at the point that one of them departed to enter the facility, the aura still wouldn't have been noticeable, unless one were very perceptive. Within another minute of that though, the glow coming off of him and its growing intensity would be apparent to those around him. The wolf himself remained motionless though, so there would be no easy way to determine the cause or purpose of the aura around him.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Wolf478 Fri Aug 31, 2018 5:00 am

(I was informed that it would be ok to join this RP, considering that it is rather early in the story. If not, I am ok with removing this post.)

The purple hedgehog plunged her foot into a particularly soggy patch of moss covered lichen, sending a squirt of the green mud up her tightly clad leg. The suit she wore was apparently meant to help with her stealth, and to improve combat performance, but right now it was just soaking up the humidity of the forest and now clinging uncomfortably against her shin.

According to the fox, this was the place. At least it was around here somewhere. A base, a genetic alteration facility. While the very thought of entering a lab even remotely similar to the one she had escaped all those years ago, the hedgehog felt it her duty to ensure that all of them were demolished. She only wished that it wasn't another Agents base, and with the power fluctuations she'd been reported, she certainly hoped it wasn't online.

"I hate the jungle."

She muttered under her breath, and truly the stench of decaying vegetation was not an enjoyable one.

"Darken, are you sure this is the place? Oh, and the suit you made me looks gorgeous, I'm quite flattered that you'd go into so much detail with making it fit to my..."

She continued to talk into the radio-com, unknowing of the static-ridden and mostly inaudible message that was being received at the other end. And completely unknowing of the unexpected reply, more static.

The screeching reply of what sounded like a snowstorm trying to fit through a mincer was not what she'd expected, and had quite hoped to cause some discomfort for the fox, but apparently would not be able to do so.

The further she walked into the marsh, the louder the static grew, unusual for an interference, as it would generally be the same volume no matter where in the black-spot one stood, but it seemed to increase the further she travelled.

What sounded like gunfire came from a far off in the marsh, but it was probably just an illusion caused by the static, and a stick having decayed to the point of caving in under pressure.

The purple hedgehog felt a chill slither up her spine, a mix of sneaking suspicion that she was being watched and the moist Air causing the already skin-tight cover-all to only become tighter, putting her on edge.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Lazarus stopped mid stroll & stood in his position, analyzing the room for quick cover but to no avail he quickly turned his attention to the projectiles of the bullets, only jumping back to avoid some of the direct hits. Scoffing in annoyance when the bullets graze his coat. A couple stray bullets piercing into his left forearm & he gritted his teeth, cursing under his breath from the hit as he's pulling out a pen like object from his pocket twiddling it between his fingers just before it becomes a royal ruby purple blade & a white outlining sword as tall as him, with a curved jagged blade, grabbing onto the hilt & stabbing it into the ground using it's large blade as a shield to deflect some the shots against him, enduring the stray shots from ricocheting off of the nearby objects & walls.

"Be kind to others, they said. It's very rewarding, they said. This is what I get, for trying to help someone." he muttered to himself, holding his forearm, irked. He heard him speak to an unknown person, listening in intently. Replicant? he thought to himself, having no clue as to what he was referring to or what brought him to the conclusion that he was one of these things. As the bullets stopped, He waited a moment as the dust settled before he peaked out from the safety from his blade.
Once cleared, He stood aside from his sword, leaving it behind hoping this would help put his guard down.

Lazarus! What's going on in there? Don't tell me you're messing around!

he rolled his eyes at Ivory's comments

Everything's alright in here, I found someone trying to break into the observation control room & they attacked once they detected me. I've got it under control, so just back off.

You mean to tell me you haven't taken down the threat! This isn't a game! They could very well be trying to reinstate that facility! He shuddered feeling her wrath as well as her snarl

I've got this, I'm just having a little fun, relax. Now I'm going in to make contact.

Lazarus! He ignored her messages & turned his attention to his newly found opponent.

"You know, for someone trespassing & snooping around in someone else's territory, you have some nerve bringing out a weapon & attacking." He criticized with obvious distaste he continued to stroll while picking at his forearms to take out the bullets, throwing them onto the floor & pulling down his coat sleeve to allow it to soak up his blood.

"You got me, alright. Got me right in the forearm, which I can forgive, I'll admit I would've done the same however.." He trailed off, stopping at the foot of some huge piles of debris, giving them both a good amount of distance from each other, as his pupils got sharper indicating some sort of anger "I can't forgive the mistreatment of my favorite coat. So come on out, face me." He held his hands behind his back, with a mischievous grin, keeping his eyes out for his opponent. "Let's talk it put or perhaps you'd like to fight." He added, holding another pen like object in his hands, behind him

Back outside with the 3 lycans & wolf, Ivory didn't notice any initial glow or aura. She thought to herself for a moment, deciding if taking this stranger back to the nurses aid office would be beneficial before something struck her feelings as odd, breaking her train of thought. She looked around her for any sign of intrusions or anything that would catch her attention. Peculiar indeed, she thought to herself before surmising her strange feelings were coming from the wolf.

Juniper, confused asked her Alpha if there was anything troubling her.

Ivory knelt down next to wolf, inspecting closely for any abnormalities in his current state. "This wolf.. Something's off about him, I can't explain it but.." she trailed off once she noticed the glowing surrounding him. She quickly got up, wondering if he was really just an ordinary wolf or if it was the area that they were in that was affecting him.

"I've never seen anything like this in anyone. "Remingto-" She was cut off when she heard sudden gun shots coming from the facility, she shifted her body towards it.

Lazarus! What's going on in there? Don't tell me you're messing around!

She waited for his response, jolting her hand back to grab her sword, almost bolting in before she got a response.

Everything's alright in here, I found someone trying to break into the observation control room & they attacked once they detected me. I've got it under control, so just back off.

She stopped, baring her teeth & snarling at his comments more so at his petulance, making sure her words echo in his head.
You mean to tell me you haven't taken down the threat! This isn't a game! They could very well be trying to reinstate that facility!

"Alpha! There seems to be an intruder in Virility, should we go & assist Beta Lazarus & request for reinforcements?" Remington yelled, pulling out his sword from it's sheath, preparing to go in

I've got this, I'm just having a little fun, relax. Now I'm going in to make contact.

Annoyed she called for her brother, but he ignored her which angered her. She looked back to Remington, who was still at an intermediate level of swordsmanship,  Juniper who was very obviously terrified & had not combativeness experience up until that point, & back at the glowing body of the wolf. Should she take her chances & take her two soldiers with her & risk the wolf waking & perceiving some sort of threat? Or risk getting her two soldiers getting hurt in what could be a potential deadly fought? She decided against it, deciding to go alone begrudgingly.

"Remington, Take the body back to my quarters, Make sure they tend to him, give him plenty of fluids & guard at all times & he is to be restrained! Whatever he may be, we need to investigate. Both of you get out of this area!" She ordered,

They both stood & bowed to her, Afterwards Remington threw his body over his shoulder, yelling at Juniper to come along & ran away from the facility with Juniper running behind. She watched them leave, the glared at the facility intensely before she bolted in, with her sword, Azrael in hand.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Shrike Marine Sat Sep 01, 2018 8:54 am

-While on 35 rounds were fired, the entirety of a single clip, it felt like hell was just unleashed for mere seconds on who ever the poor sod was in the way of his rifle, Shrike had not as much aimed the weapon, rather sprayed the weapon from one point to the next in hoping that was ever was in the general idea now ceased to exist before it could fire back, for Shrike knew if the Replicant could fire back the chances of him getting hit were fairly high.

The roaring sound came to a end as the smoke slowly began to subside revealing to him a figure standing there, course the figure was much clearer to be seen since he was now closer in then previously, actively wounded by the weapons fire, but..it was not a Replicant, no furthest thing from it, it was a Wolf..a odd looking one would a wacky hair style.

the Wolf explained he had been hit, tho rather then asking for him to stop he seemed to..mock this figure and taunt him for doing what he did, Shrike was not buying it he wouldn't budge from his covered location.-

"Your coat and your arm are the least of your troubles, if I intended to aim at all while firing..you wouldn't of been alive..that burst..was mere warning fire...It doesn't take a rocket scientists to get the feeling you came here to neutralize me...your telestatic reading is virtually off the scale...that is a no no in my books...now..I suggest you back off and out of here..before I actually try to shoot you this time...you leave..I leave simple as that...you have 30 seconds to comply."

-Shrike was not fucking around, he had intentionally not accurately fired at him meaning if he did the aftermath could of been far far worse for him, he gave him the choice to leave the base and if he did Shrike would also leave, course things like this are not as simple as..agreeing, Shrike did however emerged from the depths of the black standing before the Wolf figure, there he could see Shrike was indeed not a local, bording on something more like a mercenary or soldier by the looks, one that resembled G.U.N, could they be investigating this facility, could they have finally attracted the global defense force of G.U.N to come and inspect this place or was he really just some loner.

His face masked by a helmet with a blue visor, decked out in green clothing, and black gear, holding his fire arm in his hands, staring down the Wolf. Hoping his weapon and sheer look would be enough to drive him off and force him to reconsider his choice of wanting to attack him, given that Shrike had full advantage of a corridor shoot out and he had no range weapons.

Shrike had no idea that reinforcements for him were on the way, but even then he could still contain them inside the base where his weapon could lay down fire with them unable to get close enough to him.

He knew the situation was bad, and had a feeling only one of them was going to walk out here alive, Wolfs are known to be stubborn, Shrike himself was also stubborn those leading to the stand off.

This close to him Shrike could feel the energy radiating off of him, even tho he was incapable of telepathic powers or any thing in that line, he sensed he was talking or communicating, given the bursts of static in his helmet, perhaps a call for help or perhaps private thoughts on what was going on.

Shrike remained silent, simply staring at him, flicking the weapons safety switch from semi to full auto, semi to full auto again and again, trying to put some fear into this bugger who didn't seem like he wanted to move and thought of this as a kind of game more then a fight.-

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by C.S.O. Sat Sep 01, 2018 2:52 pm

Through this sudden burst of activity from the Lycans surrounding him, the wolf continues to be totally unaware and unresponsive to all of it. The aura around him continues to steadily become more intense. As Remington would pick the wolf up he would be able to feel a charge of energy from the aura. It didn't discharge or repel him at all, but he would be aware of it.

Once he was picked up and slung over Remington's shoulder, the wolf just hung there limply. Even through all the jostling as Remington ran with him, the wolf didn't react at all.

Had Remington or Juniper watched the wolf as they ran, they might notice that after about a minute into their run that the aura surrounding the wolf as stopped getting brighter and now just held steady. It wouldn't be uncomfortable to look at him, but one might not want to stare at him too long.

After another half minute like this, the wolf suddenly took in a gasping breath from where he was hanging. His eyes fluttered open for a moment, before he squeezed them shut again. The aura around him quickly faded away again, leaving the wolf looking like he had when the two Lycans had first found him.

He then let out a long groan.

Coming back to his senses, the first thing that greeted the wolf was a pretty bad headache. Likely it was a result of the shock to his system earlier. The pain at least confirmed that he wasn't dead, and that was always a good sign.

The second thing he noticed was that he seemed to be moving. That was rather unusual... considering he wasn't doing anything to cause himself to move. It took him a bit of time to realize that he seemed to be hanging over something or someone and it was that which was moving.

He slowly opens his eyes again and is greeted by the view down the back of the individual carrying him. He could see the back of their clothing, their tail, and their legs. It didn't really give him any way to identify whoever was carrying him though. A lot of people looked the same from behind.

The wolf then tries to shift his body. Unfortunately, he finds that the rest of his body is unresponsive at the moment. Probably as another side effect of the shock he suffered. It was quite concerning as it currently left him unable to even lift his head or look around.

Instead, he tried to do something less strenuous for him and hopefully something he'd be able to accomplish.

"Ummm... hello?" he said uncertainly.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Wolf478 Sun Sep 02, 2018 3:05 pm

The hedgehog frowned, pulling the radio away from her belt and raising it to her mouth, now unsure of whether she was in the right place. She opened her mouth to speak, but her finger slipped off of the transmission button and more static was blasted by the speaker into her face.

"Jesus Christ."

She moved to put the radio away, but stopped. Something caught her attention about the interference. There were fluctuations, regardless of her movement, and patterned ones at that. Almost like... Speech. The only logical thing that she could think of was a broadcasting station jamming any external signals, while also transmitting their own. It would be reasonable, considering the power fluctuations coming from within the area. But she couldn't be sure, if this was indeed an Agent base someone might just be having a rough time coming to terms with themselves.

No matter how hard the hedgehog strained her purple ears, it was impossible to translate what might've been coming through on the radio, if it were a hidden transmission. And she was forced to once again continue her travels through the marsh-like forest.

This was certainly the right place.

Everything looked the same though, vine-ridden trees, soggy soil, the occasional scummy pond and plenty of greenery. That was until a building came into sight. from it's outer appearance, it hadn't fared much better than the surrounding environment, and was severely worn down, with many windows broken, and countless exterior panels removed.

Once she'd laid eyes on the building, the front door was easy enough to find, and it was conveniently left wide open, only supported on one hinge, but with one big difference. Instead of opening to a simply abandoned reception room, it was the gateway to what very much looked like a war-zone. Smears of caked red liquid and countless demolished pieces of furniture, each with their own stains, lay about.

There was the main reception desk, but it had the same grim paint-job applied, with scattered papers which were once filed as appointments and what looked to be health-code violation notices... all of which bored the purple hedgehog.

There were a number of passageways that led off from the main area, one of which had been blocked by falling debris, which looked to have happened a long time ago. And as she chose a path and walked down it, her foot made contact with an object which nearly caused her to slip. A piece of glass, the only thing is, it was covered in a liquid similar in colour to the stains back in the reception room, and it wasn't exactly dried blood either.

"Jesus Christ. I'm not in the mood for this."

It now seemed that a frequency jamming caused by an anti-government organisation was unlikely, and with the new evidence on the table, she cooked up another theory.

Could this be the result of an escaped Agent? Where there others like her that survived? Judging by the state of the building, this could be a Lair for one of the more unstable experiments, and judging by the blood, it was likely still here.

Ever cautious, she moved quietly through the building, too far away and completely unaware of the true dangers and altercations happening further inside, as she entered an office and searched for information on the background of the lab, it might prove useful for a certain someone someday.

(Again, I'm ok with taking this down if you would like)

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Smol Marshmallow Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:14 am

((I'M SO SORRY TO BE GETTING BACK TO YOU ALL SO LATE, I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE TTwTT))

Lazarus paused for a moment, watching & glaring at his opponent as he emerged. Puzzled as to his appearance though impressed by his get up, not having seen anything like him especially in the given area, making him question his origins as well as to his motives as to coming to the facility.

Upon closer inspection of his weaponry choice he noticed he was not completely wrong, using the right aim at the right spot & the wrong sword stroke, it would've definitely wounded him to where even his accelerated heal time would do him no good, which slightly intimidated him proving using just one of his swords would be quite the task for him. He sneered as to not show any signs of intimidation or second guessing.

he scoffed from his earlier remark, "You? Take me out?" he bursted out into a laughter, holding his head before composing himself & letting out one last chuckle before asserting, "You may have the advantage of long range, I'll give you that. But It'll take more than a few measly bullets & big talk to threaten me off, let alone kill me."

He pulled his Celtic style silver, pen like object from behind his back, twirling & twiddling it between his fingers in front of the soldier. "If I were here to neutralize you as you so claim, I would've done so already. What imbecile gives away their position when having the upper hand, such as I did just a few moments ago when you were trying to get into that room."  He turned his head to his pen, still playing with it between his fingers "No, my good sir, Not when I have my trusted Xeno," He nodded his head back to his big sword, which was pierced into the ground, located behind him, "& Xanthe," To which he nodded towards his pen like object.

"Even with a good enough aim & maybe even a few good hits of my coat again, these two will do well enough to serve me into taking you down." He started to slowly circle around the soldier before speaking once more, but in a more confident maybe even cocky manner than once before,
"Perhaps you are right about my arm, The coat however, as tattered & dis pleasuring to the sight from it being drenched in blood as it maybe, it is a demonstration, that I am not one to take lightly."

He gave him a snide look as he threw his pen up into the air, where it proceeded to expand in length to which he catches it & twirls it as though it were a baton before it's engulfed into a ghostly purple flame, revealing a huge sword identical to the one left behind, but unlike it's counter part with the royal ruby purple blade, it was an opal curved & jagged blade with the ruby purple out lining,  towering at the same height as the Lycan.

"Now, I know nothing about these replicants that you spoke of before to your device there or telestatic readings nonsense. But I can assure you I'm neither one of those nor do I know what it is you speak of. I can also assure you, I'm much more of a challenge" He tightened his grip around his swords handle, lifting it seemingly without any effort as he pointed it's opal blade towards the soldier,

Lazarus, I'm coming & when I get there, so help me if you haven't taken down this threat I will let Azrael devour your soul after devouring theirs! Ivy growled at him

Lazarus frowned at her threat, rolling his eyes not really wanting to put an early end to his newly found fun, but reluctantly decided to hurry things along as to not suffer from her wrath & die an early death.

"Now, Who are you, what are you, who gave you the location to this place,  & more importantly, why are you here?" He asked him in a much deeper voice than he used before, "Answer my questions, then perhaps I'll spare you from the blood curdling wrath of Xanthe."

When Remington had slung the body of the wolf over his shoulder, He felt a jolt when he came into contact with the wolf. Enough to make him jump & flinch, Juniper took notice of his sudden movement & questioned him, "What is it, Rem?"
He shook his head, "It's nothing. Let's keep moving," With that he turned his head back to the wolf, wondering if it were him that caused that reaction. He began to question whether or not it was wise to bring him back to the bureau, deciding now was not the time to question the orders that he was given. Remington ran deeper & father away from the facility with the wolf over his shoulder, with Juniper at his heels expressing some concerns to her superior,

"Should we really have left the Alpha to go into Virility by herself? Shouldn't we have at least called for any reinforcements to assist her?" Beta Lazarus went in & hasn't come out, What if he's hurt?"

Remington replied in attempt to ease her from her concerns, "We were given very specific orders & that was to take this wolf back to the bureau & have him treated. The Alpha knows what she's doing, she can handle herself. As for Beta Lazarus, He's gotten himself into much worse situations, There's no doubt in my mind He's having a good time messing with what ever opponent he's up against."

Juniper reluctantly agreed to his points but despite it she felt a sense of uneasiness, She looked down at the ground as she ran falling behind Remington as she was deep in thought. She wondered what was with the sudden uprising in activity around the abandoned facility, She couldn't understand the attraction that the place gave off that lured others. She knew the energy surrounding the area had increased in it's intensity but didn't seem to bother any of the lycans, it was always seemed to have an affect on other species, most commonly mammals, none of which seemed to have the slightest idea of how they came to the facility or what caused them to stray from their thoughts as well as paths. Upon further digging into their past, there was never any connection the facility, the former staff, seemed to have any idea as to what the facility, or it's ideals. The source itself was unknown even to the clans that dedicated their lives to keeping the general area closed off, didn't seem to have any knowledge & were just puzzled as everyone else was.

She took a quick glimpse as the wolf Remington was carrying, noticing the glowing was not as potent as before but still very much so present. He was the most peculiar of all the cases. Thinking back to their first interaction, She noticed he was more acutely aware than the others. Others were dazed, almost in a trance like state with no recollection of what happened prior. Another thing she noticed was his loss of consciousness, others were easily lured away from the area. There wasn't any records of any of those experiencing any symptoms close to losing consciousness. one of the others experienced anything more than a migraine and the rare occurrence of blood seeping from nose. Then there was the radiation of light that came from his body, Never has she ever encountered anything as extraordinary as that, let alone heard of anything such as that. She made a mental note to go to the the Bureau's library as well as the records to see if she could find anything that remotely resembled the situation at hand.

Her thoughts broke once she heard the wolf groan, She hurried eventually catching up next to Remington, "Rem, I believe he's starting to wake! We should stop for a moment, he could be injured-"

Remington barked at her in annoyance, "No, We will not stop! We are to go to the Bureau, then he will be treated. We don't have much more before we arrive, He will just have to push through until we get there, if he doesn't so be it."

Juniper shocked at his words & lack of empathy, she then sped up past him, then essentially cutting off his path forcing him to stop, "If he is seriously injured we can't ignore it & take the chance of a probable steady decline versus us getting there in the time of what you want! If he does meet his demise, Alpha Ivory will have our heads for the neglection as well as death of a possible informant!"

Remington snarled at her as he was about to reprimand her for insubordinating  a superior officer, he heard the wolf speak. He looked back at the wolf as to make sure he wasn't hearing things.

Juniper then rushed to the wolfs side, "Yes, hello? Are you alright?"

Upon entering the building, Ivory looked around the reception area searching for any sign that indicated just where Lazarus or the intruder had strayed off to. She saw clear signs of tampering but amongst the already chaotic scenery it was difficult to determine which of those were recent & those that weren't. Slamming her fist on the reception desk & muttering under her breath a series of curse words, out of frustration but more so annoyance from Lazarus & his lack of seriousness.

She then heard a piece of glass break, making her ears perk up from the sound & she stood up looking in the direction in which the sound came from. Deciding to check it out, she ever so quietly, care as to not step on anything & alert the intruder, she made her way towards the passage way in which the hedgehog had taken. She had a small glimpse of her before she jumped back, out of sight, surprised from her presence. With her hand placed on the handle of her sword, she waited until there was enough distance between them before she made her way to the end of the hallway, peaking out from the corner. There she saw the office in which the hedgehog had gone into.

She watched her rummaging through the office, "Damnit, I thought we eliminated all traces of the Virility cooperation & it's informants!" She cursed quietly. She had to think quickly about her next move. It was obvious she couldn't allow her to continue but the question that she thought to herself was if she should confront her to see if she could get some information as to where she came from & how she found the place to begin with.

Lazarus! Where are you?! I found another intruder, deal with the first intruder & then come here incase I need you! Make it snappy!

She came out from her hiding spot, quietly approaching the female from behind & raised her sword up towards the hedgehogs body.

"Carefully turn around, Whatever weapons you may have, drop them. Should you not comply with these terms I have given you, I will not hesitate to slice you in half!" She snarled at her, growling lowly as she spoke.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Shrike Marine Thu Sep 27, 2018 9:49 am

-Shrike stood, not budging but realizing he had to escape, being trapped against this bulkhead meant if he did not act fast, help could arrive for the wolf, he had a uneasy feeling the wolf was not alone, should more arrive Shrikes chances of escape would be slim to none, he would be cut down in moments and left to die in the forsaken facility.

The wolf seemed to mock him in his effects to kill him, stating that the wolf could of very easily killed him if he chose to, but decided against it, Shrike figured that would of been a terrible mistake not to go ahead and do. Shrike still had the element of surprise, for now the wolf had given away his weapons capabilities, Shrike on the other hand had many more assets at his disposal which he could employ against the being.

The wolf demanded to know who he was and what he was, Shrike remained silent, he was not going to simply give him information on who he was or what he was, that was the last thing he needed to spill. He stood staring at the wolf in a way that could make any one feel uncomfortable.

Tho what was clear was Shrike was fiddling with his weapon, most notable was he seemed to be checking the barrel under his weapon, now to the wolf this seemed confusing no doubt, however unknown to him Shrike had just finished chambering a High explosive   grenade into his weapon and close it shut, this could extremely dangerous now.

After what seemed like eternity of silence the armored figure spoke, his voice static and radio like as it left his helmet.-

"You have intention of letting me leave here alive, all you want me to do..is lower my guard so you can strike the killing blow....I can see that a mile away.

You may be able to stop a couple of bullets but you wont be able to stop a grenade...even if you attempt to deflect the projectile it will detonate on contact with your sword..the combined explosion and shock wave will rupture your organs and kill you slowly from the inside, overkill..yes...but still a option to stand aside"

-In all honesty Shrike didn't want to kill him, and was merely using the grenade as a threat to get him to back the fuck off so he could leave this hell hole. However it seemed like the wolf was not going any where, any and all threats seemed to have fallen flat on their face.

Shrike was going to have to find another way to get passed him, several more moments pondered through his mind until he settled on a dangerous gambit, if he could deploy a flash bang grenade it could temporally incapacitate him giving Shrike the opening he needs to escape.

Slowly reaching over to his back pouch the figure pulls out a can like device, using his thumb to eject the pin he times it to about 2 seconds in before hurling the grenade at the wolf, before it even hits the ground the device explodes generating a massive high pitched noise and blinding light.

Ceasing his chance Shrike bolted passed the Wolf Lycan with all speed he could muster heading for the exit.-

"Lysander this is Shrike I have evaded enemy forces and now attempting to withdraw from the area, I think we can cancel future searches unless you send in Replicants, see you back at base in due time."

-His footsteps were heard coming in from the depths of the facility heading for the exit, Shrike had no idea if the entrance was clear but was willing to battle it out to force a exit if he must, he barely escaped the last one.

As he continued to make for the exit he could hear a voice, a voice that indicating of a threatening tone, but one that was not directed to him, was some one else also here, some one else also unfortunate enough to stumble into the complex, if so looks like Shrike was going to get himself mixed up in another make shift rescue operation, how wonderful perfect timing.

From the darkness of a corner Shrike came hurtling around and skidded to a halt, there..before him she stood, another Wolf Lycan, her sword raised to another, a Hedgehog, seemed liked his feeling was true, this situation had attracted more attention then he thought previously.

Skidding to a halt just at the exit making eye contact with the both of them, he could see the two females, Shrike immediately opened fire as warning shots struck near the female Lycan, hopefully to disorientate the Lycan Female long enough for the Hedgehog to escape.

"YOU! GET OUT OF HERE! NOW! RUN!"

-Was escaping futile, maybe but it was a chance non the less he had no idea who the hedgehog was but the Lycan wolf seemed to me remarkably similar to the male wolf he just encountered, if there was two there was probably more.-

( OOC: I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think all of us have just disappeared for stretches at one time or another. )

The wolf, now having regained his senses... well, some of them anyway, is able to deduce that he his in the presence of a couple of individuals as the last half minute or so go through his mind once more. Two people were talking, but he was a bit too disoriented to make sense of what they had been discussing. That only confirmed that there were two though. Since he wasn't able to look around, there could be more nearby.

It took him several moments to realize that whoever was carrying him had come to a halt. He found that somewhat distressing as he hadn't noticed that they'd come to a stop immediately. It seemed to suggest that his body and senses were sluggish in processing what was going on. He had no idea how long that might last either, so that left him at the mercy of whoever had him now.

Of course, considering that he was still drawing breath it clearly wasn't all bad. If they'd wanted him dead, he would be. He just needed to ride things out for the time being and not do anything to make his hosts decide he was more trouble than he was worth.

After what Juniper and Remington would likely consider a protracted silence, the wolf realized he'd been spoken to and processed Juniper's response to him.

"Alright... I think it would be too generous to say that about myself now." he says, "My head hurts a lot... and I don't know if I can move right now either."

He pauses for a few moments.

"Could you tell me what is going on?" he asks.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

((Seriously, It's ok. Everyone has their own personal life, sometimes things come up, and they need to be dealt with. We Understand ^‿^))

The Hedgehogs tightly clad-in-black hands rifled through the contents of one of the less beat-up filing cabinets, which still had several chillingly skull-sized dents throughout it's entire outer surface. The alloy fibre of her suit made it difficult to sit in the lop-sided office chair, so she opted to stand instead, hunching over the blood-stained desk.

Most of the files were torn to pieces, soaked in various liquids beyond salvage, or oddly enough: completely blank. She sighed, it would take quite the search to obtain any useful documents about this place, and if it were truly an Agents facility, something bad was bound to happen before she did. The structure of the building alone was a threat enough, big pieces of the concrete walls and roofing were missing, with exposed wires dangling from empty sockets, and having long since been deprived of electricity.

After having a particularly curious paper disintegrate into dust in her hand, the hedgehog was ready to move on, and begin searching for any sign of activity when a voice came from behind, merely a few feet at most behind her, and it sent a shiver down her spine.

She was trained for these kinds of situations, and yet she had failed to realise that someone had sneaked up behind her, and by the sounds of it, they were very hostile.

The purple hedgehog turned slowly, allowing her jade eyes to flick over to the figure behind her as soon as they entered into her peripheral vision. While the poor lighting mostly obscured the hedgehog's vision of the characters proper shape, there was something slightly offsetting about their aura, something that she had not felt in a long time, and it had been a happy long time at that.

Then a series of furious and hurried shouts came from deeper within the facility, then was the footsteps, and what looked to be a soldier came running in behind the person standing only feet away from her. They were holding a grenade launcher tightly in their grasp and seemed to be in quite the hurry.

The Hedgehog exchanged glances between the soldier and the nearly completely silhouetted figure during the short moment of silence, broken only by the Soldiers heavy breathing.

The brief lapse of quiet that had fallen was then shattered by a spray of gunfire, that to the hedgehog seemed to come from nowhere.

As puffs of deteriorating concrete floor erupted from the ground near her initial encounter, the hedgehog reached down to the belt fastened to her waist, the only thing that she wore at all times. The hedgehogs fingers hovered over a dial on the belt, not moving as more and more bullets hit the ground around them.

"I'll be back later"

With that, her hand clasped the dial in full and twisted it a full rotation, which when successful would teleport her out of the facility and right back to the warm company of a grey fox, and less warm company of a black cat.

But this time, the only result was a screeching static noise overcoming the hedgehogs sensations, looping over and over in her head. The noise became louder and louder until she felt like screaming, but when she tried to do so, she realised that her mouth wouldn't move. She opened her eyes, and only saw the same scene from before, billows of dust and two people standing in her way, and every second that passed by, caused her entire body to ache as if someone were pulling each of her bones away from one another.

To others, her visage would appear as that of a silent, transparent shell of normal self, flickering like a broken television, and with eyes wide and devoid of life.

The same static that had caused the radios to malfunction had caused the hedgehogs teleportation to fail, and her body was being effected in much the same way as the radio waves were.

She stood there, still, lifeless, almost as if in a trance, unable to move. But just past the outer exterior, the hedgehog was very much alive, unable to scream and unable to cry for help, reliving the pains she had felt many years ago.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Smol Marshmallow Fri Oct 12, 2018 3:35 am

((AAAA TYSM FOR UNDERSTANDING IT GREATLY APPRECIATED. ;w;))

Lazarus thought for a moment as to what his next move would be as well as word choice after hearing his possession of a grenade. While he himself had never directly encountered anything of such power he has heard of them as well as observed them from a controlled environment, He knew what the soldier had said was true. It would most certainly kill him, there was no avoiding it. Even with a fast sword swing, it would most certainly be his demise.
He glared him down, giving an annoyed frown, As he was not used to the failed attempt of persuasion, "Ouch, the lack of trust you have in me really hurts." Lazarus feigned with laughter, putting down the sword  "But given I just pointed this large sword towards you," He lifted it above his head & swung it down towards the direction of the soldier, "I can understand the lack of trust I suppose. You, my friend, are certainly not stupid. I can respect that about ya-" He trailed off as he watched him reach behind him, Lazarus body stiffened as he saw him pull out the object, knowing fully well of what it was & his grip on the sword hardened, launching himself towards the soldier & swung his sword in an attempt to divert the direction of the grenade but ultimately failing as it had gone off before even making contact with anything. Lazarus eyes widened, his pupils dilating knowing fully well, he had indeed fucked up. As it went off, Lazarus immediately dropped his sword & covered his ear falling onto his knees, screaming out obscenities that could be heard even from the outside of the facility, from being in pain as his hearing sensories were being overwhelmed by the sound the product had produced.

IVY! You're going to kill me but, the targets gotten away! I repeat he's fled, I'm not entirely sure of where he's headed but he's in a soldiers uniform & is armed! Proceed carefully, I'll join you soon once the effects of this grenade have wore off!

Goddamnit, Lazarus! You wonder why I have to constantly get onto you about this kind of shit! I found another intruder & currently have her pinned in one of the former offices. & No! Forget it, I can handle my situation. When you're good enough to fight, FIND THE FIRST INTRUDER IMMEDIATELY!

Careful Ivy, That might be his partner! I'll get on it as soon as possible, Where's your location?

I'm on- Wait Lazarus! The soldiers here, Get here fast-

Her transmission cut off mid way which worried Lazarus a great bit, but there was nothing he could for awhile until he got his sight as well as hearing back. Dammit, he thought to himself as he attempted to communicate with her,

Ivy? IVY! What's happening! Talk to me, Damnit! Tell me you're okay!

After hearing no response, he went into a panic after not hearing back from her. He slowly lifted himself up from the ground feeling the ground around him for his sword to which he found, Stabbed into the ground & pulled himself up.

"I'm coming, Ivy."

Juniper looked at the wolf with genuine concern but looked relieved once the wold started to speak & have more awareness, "Well it's good to see that you're conscious, you were out of it for a while. We weren't sure if you were going to be alright when you passed out earlier.."

Remington looked ahead, clearly annoyed. "We don't exactly have time to stand around & answer questions. To put it short, We were given specific orders to take you back to our home, The Bureau otherwise known as the Vandeviere Clan of this region. You aren't in any danger as long as you don't pose threat to us. Now if you two don't mind, we need to move forth, We're almost to there." "Shouldn't we put him down for moment & do a quick check up?" Remington glared at Juniper, to which she avoided his gaze gulping knowing well she would be punished for her actions but nodded, "Once we get to our destination, we'll treat you & we'll answer any questions you may have provided that you cooperate with us once our Alpha gets back to speak with you. As Remington said, You aren't in any danger."

Remington spoke once more, "We're only about 5 miles away from the gates, we can make it in about 6 minutes. So try not to die from here to there." With that Remington started to run but careful as to not bounce the wolf body around much to his consideration with Juniper at his heels.

After about 5 minutes, The scenery didn't started to get noticeably any different from the past few minutes. Any outsider would figure they'd just run a huge circle, The thickness from the woods made it very easy for anyone to get lost. All the trees were close together so it as very hard to see ahead, the tall bushes didn't serve much help either. Other than the path got more & more harder to pass through, with huge boulders covered in moss & other parasitic plants.

"From here, we're going to have to take the branches, Having to carry you will make it harder to properly land on these boulders. We bought wouldn't want to fall on these huge rocks, It'd be extremely painful for you & me." Remington turned to Juniper, You go ahead on, Let the gate keepers know we're coming & not to be alarmed by the wolf & prepare a bed as well as medicine." Juniper nodded at Remington, slightly bowing whilst making a fist & placing it over her heart. "Understood, I'll be waiting on your arrival." She young Lycan jumped onto the first boulder but before she proceeded, Remington stopped her, "Also, Don't think I have forgotten about your little stunt. After Alpha gets done with the wolf, You are to report to me directly to receive a demerit & accept the punishment as what I see fit. Got it?" He said sternly as well as in a hostile manner. She reluctantly nodded, "You are dismissed, Go."
Juniper dashed forward, leaving the two males alone.

"Hope you're ready for this, kid. I'll try not to let you fall." Remington, held onto the wolfs body with an arm, strolling over to a tree with a low enough branch so little effort would be needed. He looked up at multiple trees, contemplating which would be better support for the both of them to climb on, He finally found one huge tree & jumped up onto a tree bark & dug his claws from his free hand as well as his legs into the tree bark. He struggled a little to get a good grip, falling a little even stumbling but eventually climbed his way up into a large branch. He let out a huge breath, "Atleast the hard parts done & overwith.." He looked up once more at the sky but to no avail , the lack of view of the sky from the multiple branches covering the sky made it even harder to indicate where they would be had he not known the area.

"Alright, I'm about to make the jump, you ready?"

Ivory held her position & sword pointed towards the hedgehog as she turned, glaring at her a deathly look. She opened her mouth as she was about to speak but then interrupted by the telepathic transmission she received from the male lycan, she cursed still holding her stance. She seemed deep in thought, more so angered judging from her snarling seemingly at nothing which was breaking away her attention from the hedgehog for a moment.
Her ear twitched back as she heard the steps behind her, her pupils dilating she quickly got a glimpse of the soldier. She bared her teeth at him for a moment until she made eye contact. She felt something odd, her body felt as though it she were being jolted with a thousand volts of electricity. She couldn't shake the feeling away, was it her gut telling her something bad was about to happen? She definitely felt her nerves rising a little when she watched him go for his weapon. Once the bullets started firing she jumped back into a wall where she quickly grabbed the Celtic demon side of the cross guard of her sword, splitting it into two. She swung it back, throwing it with the intention of it hitting him, which ultimately failed with the blade stabbing into the ground right before his feet.

She turned her attention to the hedgehog, by which then she was trying to escape using a device to which was unfamiliar to her. She quickly darted towards her, with one part of the sword still in her hand, knowing she couldn't let her get away, not when she still had questions she needed answered as well as the risk of her identity being a virility familiar.

"I'm not going to allow you to get away!" She jumped up into the air, holding her sword above her head as she was about to swing down on the girl. She realized something was not right with the girl, her plot to escape had seemed to have backfired on her & have effected her. She threw her sword off to the side, & tried to avoid making impact with her by landing on her shoulder off to the side of the hedgehog. She stood up from the ground, holding her shoulder which was scraped, she approached the hedgehog who was just as still as a tree. She searched for any obvious signs of injury, none of which she could pinpoint. She heard another set of footsteps, thinking it was the solider once more she turned her back & bolted, grabbing her swords before she made her way towards the exit of which they came. She not only had to protect herself she now had to extend it to the immobile hedgehog, without hesitation she threw a set of throwing knives before she could get a look of whomever was approaching from the corner.

She heard the knives hit something & clatter on the floor, something had deflected her knives. She saw a figure & before she made a move to strike the figure down, she heard a voice,

"Could you not attack me?! I came to help, you dunce!"

"Lazarus?"

"No duh!"

Lazarus came out into the lighting, he was in a pitiful state at least to Ivory he was. He held himself up, using his sword as a cane & stood in front of her. "Are you alright?"

She scoffed, "I should be asking you that, I'm not the one limping."

His eyes gave a cold chill to anyone who looked at them, his voice low & filled with venom "Well, I'm glad you're alright. Now I won't feel bad about chewing you out! Why weren't you answering me?! Do you have any clue as to how worried I was?!"

Annoyed, she gave him a swift kick in the stomach, to which he jumped back a few steps from trying to catch his breath from the pain he was experiencing from, " YOU WILL NOT SPEAK TO ME IN THAT MANNER. Last time I checked, I am your alpha, YOUR SUPERIOR. I do not answer to you! YOU were the one who ignored me to play around because you were bored! Now you have the gall to give me shit for something you do on the regular?!"

Whilst still trying to catch his breath from the kick he received he managed to breathe out a few choice of words to which she glared him down for, "I don't have time to discipline you. That solider you foolishly let go is still running around here, I can smell the power from his weapon."

"I'll.. go.. with.. you.." He breathed out, standing up as he attempted to summon both swords. She held her arm in front of him, "No. I need you here."

"Why the hell for? You're the one saying we need to go after the solider."

"Down the corner of this hall is an office, one that's more so disturbed. We have another body. She's still very much so alive but a much more peculiar case than of which the one we found outside. I'm going to need you to stay by her until I return & secure her in case she awakens. If her condition worsens, take her back to the Bureau & have Juniper tend to her needs. I need her here, alive, & conscious so we can question her. Perhaps she knows something about your friend.

He rolled his eyes at her choice of words, but knowing he had no position to argue wiht her in the first place, he reluctantly agreed. "Just give me an update, okay?"

She nodded before she bolted off, following the strongest scent of the gun powder she could find. In hopes it would lead her to the solider. While the male Lycan made his way back into the office, to which he towered over the hedgehog by a few inches.

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Shrike Marine Fri Oct 12, 2018 9:57 am

-Boy or boy did that dagger come ever so close to impaling his foot into the ground, clearly who ever these guys were they knew how to fight with swords, perhaps mercenaries ? Warriors ? who ever they were Shrike would have to keep his distance to order to survive any length of time from them.

Shrike didn't immediately flee the base complex, it attempted one last ditched effort to drive off the wolfs from the Hedgehogs location with another bullet storm fired in their direction as a surprise.

Using a very much blitzkrieg style from of attack, firing off some bullets before vanishing and moments later repeating it. Yet despite all his effort he could not draw them away from the Hedgehog. He couldn't simply abandon her but at this point where the odds were so heavily stacked against him the chances were he and her were going to kick the bucket soon enough.

Shrike eventually concluded that the situation was no longer viable, immediate extract was the only choice, Shrike broke cover from the side of the complex just visible to the female wolf and escaped out the entrance to the facility.

Plunged into the thick of night the soldier fled into the nearest concentration of thick foliage he could find, in an attempted to loose track of those who were after him, what Shrike didn't account for or completely overlooked was the wolfs keen sense of smell and hearing, far higher then any human could hope to match.

The armored figure layed low in the brush, darkness concealing his position as he peered through the bushes eyeing the facility not to far away from him, the figures breathing was every thing erratic, adrenaline pumping through out his body.

It was...quiet...to quiet, he had a uncomfortable feeling he was indeed being stalked and watched, if so he had no idea from where or how close they may be, suddenly a voice boomed over his helmets communication system give the poor guy one hell of  fright..it was Lysander.-

"Shrike come in! Shrike do you read me over! What the hell is going on over there!"

"Lysander keep it down! I just was barely able to escape the facility, I believe the two hostiles encountered know of the complex whether they related to it or were behind it is unknown at this point, I didn't have the time to properly investigate but over heard them."

"Why are you still in the vicinity then you need to fall back to the base."

"They have captured some one and are currently holding them inside the complex, I can't abandon them Lysander I have to do something."

"I know you feel you must Shrike but the situation has escalated beyond acceptable limits, there could very well be more hostiles in the area and if you are trapped and confined you will not be able to fight your way out, you are already a huge target in the open, don't get yourself killed."

"Roger that...Shrike out."

-As soon as the transmission was finished Shrike heard noises, brush moving and some sticks breaking...some one was near by, Shrike brought his weapon forward and scanned the tree line, making as least noise possible he slowly began to back up keeping his rifle trained on where he thought the sound was coming from. It seemed like once again Shrike had bitten more off then he could chew.

His mind began to show flashes and shadows in various locations, making him believe more were in the area, his calm self controlled being broke as he started to move quicker and quicker trying to get away from what he believed was some one stalking him.

Shrike eventually backed up into a open area of ground with nothing more then a few trees, tall thick grass and the bluish glow from the full moon beaming down upon him, here Shrike held his position and waiting to see what would emerged from the tree line.

To help with locating any possibly hostiles Shrike switches his helmet visor to night vision, while this did help some what with the darkness of the area, it still couldn't see what was going on behind the dense woods and bushes but he was able to make out at least where he was.

"Where are you..."

-He quietly spoke under his breath wondering where the being was that was hunting him, perhaps he could turn the tables just like he did on the other Lycan.-

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by C.S.O. Sat Oct 13, 2018 12:39 am

The wolf listens quietly as the two people whose care he was in brought him up to speed on his current circumstances. He then took note of the quick exchange they had when one of them brought up stopping to give the wolf a quick check up and the other, who he thought was carrying him, shot it down quickly. The concluding statement that he would be looked after so long as he cooperated gave him the impression that he might be in a fair amount of trouble, and that he might need to regard the people he was with as captors instead of compassionate strangers.

Now was not the best time to deal with such matters.

"I understand." the wolf replies, "I'll do my best to stay alive and not waste your efforts of hauling me around."

With that all addressed, they resumed traveling once again. During the five minutes, the wolf could feel some of his strength returning. He took comfort in the fact that he could wiggle his fingers and toes a bit now. It meant that whatever had affected him earlier was wearing off. It still wasn't a good idea for him to push his luck though, so he did his best to allow his body to remain limp as he was carried along.

Once they came to a halt again, the wolf was updated by Remington about how they were going to proceed from here. There was then another exchange as Remington dismissed the other person who'd been with them and then the wolf found himself left with just the one carrying him.

Watching the ground beyond Remington's feet, while hanging over his shoulder, was a somewhat surreal experience for the wolf, seeing the ground seemingly rise away from as they went up the side of a tree. They came to a halt as Remington perched on a large branch there. Then Remington addressed him once again.

"Well, about as ready as one can be when carried." the wolf replies, "Just don't do anything that is risky to yourself just to get me to our destination. And if you should drop me... please try to not land on me."

Dark Signal Empty Re: Dark Signal

Post by Wolf478 Mon Oct 15, 2018 12:44 am

As the purple hedgehog stood completely still, making no motion besides the erratic flickering of her transparent body. She stood in silence, with no other choice than to remain so.

The figure, who she could now see to be a Wolf, lunged towards her, which the Hedgehog had only managed to see through the small split between her eyelids as they scrunched together in pain. She tried to locate where they had landed, but could not turn her head, and their location was completely lost to her.

The Soldiers burst of Gunfire had ceased and he had begun running out of the room, making towards the exit.

With the constant pain assaulting her body, she barely managed to witness her captor rush in pursuit of the runaway, at least that is what she assumed was happening, all sound was lost to her, replaced by the roaring static that continued to harass her senses.

However, the sound and pain seemed to decrease with every step the Wolf took, the further the distance, the more the effect seemed to dull. While she still felt as though trapped in an excruciating prison, the magnitude had decreased by the time the Wolf had exited the room.

Whatever these creatures were, could they still be Agents? If this was indeed an Agent Facility, she would not have known of the results of their experiment, and they may have created Agents with whatever this power was. But with no confirmation of whether or not this was indeed one of the facilities, she was left to wonder. At least when she wasn't overcome by static.

A moment of prolonged silence seemed to echo through her mind, leaving her in the madness of her own thoughts and anguishes. But then, another figure entered the office, and each step they took towards her once again increased the torture. The pain worsened once more, and the white noise became louder. While the sensation was not as strong as before, it would still be unbearable to most.

Her body became ever more transparent, and any attempt to make physical contact with her would be the same as if one were to attempt to touch air. The Hedgehog's body was intangible to anything physical, but it seemed that as the wolves came and went, the effect seemed to change, Worsening and Dampening with each.
