Flame: A Hedgehog

Gee, I keep using characters and not posting bios for them. Here, have a Flame.

Appearance:
Flame is a navy blue hedgehog who is of slender build and rather on the tall side for her age and species. She has tan fur across her muzzle, down her front, along her arms, and in her ears. Her eyes are an emerald green color. Her quills are long and extend down a couple of inches above her short little tail, curving slightly towards her back. A couple of small tufts of fur sometimes stick out on her forehead, but she often brushes them back, if the wind hasn't already done it for her.
Flame prefers light and comfortable clothing, most often seen in cropped tank tops, shorts, and hiking boots. She knows that she's attractive and has no problems with being a show-off in this regard as well. When traveling long distances, she carries a small backpack with her.

Personality traits

Likes:
- Traveling to places she has and hasn't been.
- Staying active in many different ways, most often running or jogging.
- She claims that overpriced coffee is one of her favorite vices.
- Singing is a pastime she's always enjoyed. Getting paid to do it is a pretty nice bonus.

Dislikes:
- Meddlesome people who put their nose into the business of others.
- Bad weather that makes it difficult to be outdoors.
- Staying in one place for too long.
- Being ignored.

Personality:
Flame is a confident sort, particularly in her appearance and her abilities. Throughout her recent teen years, she has been well aware of the effect she manages to have on boys around her. Enough so that she enjoys toying with those who might show interest in her, regardless of whether she has any actual intent towards them or without much thought of whose feelings may be hurt along the way. Despite this confidence, she gets jealous very easily and has a habit of up and vanishing sometimes when her ego is threatened. She tends to be a shameless show-off much of the time.
Flame considers herself to be a good friend to those she grows close to and will stand up for them with little provocation. This can lead to trouble sometimes, though, as she can be quick to jump the gun and speak her mind, leading to misunderstandings. It may take a while, but most often she'll eventually admit to her mistakes and set things right.


Combat traits

Powers:
A suitable match to her short temper, Flame has the ability to create explosions. Typically she can only use her paws to form them and only up to a certain distance, but under the right circumstances, these may vary. While it is a form of pyrokinesis, Flame cannot actually control other forms of fire. Her powers only occur in destructive bursts, despite her attempts to refine them into reasonable control over fire the way her mother does. They also can pose a serious danger to her own well-being as the blasts can easily injure her as well if she isn't careful.
More unusual in her family, Flame also possesses the ability to move at an unnatural speed. This is something she uses very frequently, whether to get around or just to mess with others. She can only travel up to a certain speed, however, and does not match up to any particular Blue Blur.

Strengths:
-With her high confidence, Flame doesn't hesitate often and she is eager and willing to take on different challenges, whether for fun or if it's simply trying to do what's right.
-Her speed, of course, is a major plus in many situations and, while not used as often, the explosions she creates have come in handy now and then.
-Flame is a very determined individual. She sets her mind to things and getting her to back down is no small task.

Weaknesses:
-Flame often over-estimates herself and can get in over her head sometimes.
-Another family trait, Flame is very stubborn and hardheaded. She can be difficult to work with and often doesn't much care even for compromising, resulting in uneasy tensions when working with or just being around others.
-Her explosive powers aren't as refined as they could be and, when she's careless, can result in serious damage and injuries, both to herself and others.


Social information

Positive relations
-Her mother. Despite tensions between the two stubborn hedgehogs when they disagree, Flame has learned a lot from her mother, even if not always the easiest way. All things considered, she knows her mother is someone she can count on.
-Her two older brothers, Strike and Sparky, whom are fraternal twins. They are almost 11 months older than she is and, as a result, they've grown up almost like triplets. As one might expect, the trio bicker and fight and poke fun at each other most of the time, but at the end of the day, they're still family.
-Her younger sister, Rebecca, is 3 years younger than Flame. Despite their differing personalities, Flame makes sure to watch out for her sister and Rebecca does the same for her.
-Aiden is the youngest child of the family, about 10 years younger than Flame. Of course, he is the baby of the family and Flame is protective of him as he can be a bit fragile. She knows that he looks up to all of his siblings, though, and tries to make sure that (as long as he's watching) she is worth looking up to.

Negative relations
-Sasha was Flame's closest childhood friend, despite being a grade higher than her. Although in middle school there was a falling out between them during Flame's awkward pre-teen phase and this gap was widened during a spat over a boy. Before high school, Sasha moved and, despite a couple of attempts to get back together, Flame insists she wants nothing to do with the wolf.
-Although Flame does her best to cut off bad relationships, she has tensions still between herself and at least a couple of ex-boyfriends, though she refuses to acknowledge exactly which ones they are...

History
Flame's childhood was relatively average, if a bit rough around the edges on some occasions. With her mother's first three children all being accidental thanks to carelessness during her late teens, much of her parenting was simply learned on the job and wasn't always the best course of action. With hard work and a bit of luck, though, by the time Flame was 5, her mother and her father (whom I actually kinda sorta never really designed since he is away from home so much, ha) had managed to get a house for their family in a small suburban neighborhood outside of one of the larger Northeastern cities near the coast of the region (which would be their world's equivalent of North America).

Flame and both of her older brothers developed their supernatural abilities at a very early age, though her mother can never quite recall when, only replying that parenthood became much more stressful when it happened. Flame was easily one of the worst as her speeding about made her hard to keep track of and keep in line. Her parents managed, however, and Flame and her siblings had rather average childhoods, give or take the odd occurrence here and there.

When Flame was 11, her brother Sparky, through both talent and luck, was noticed in a local talent show for his musical flair and, with some work to convince their mother, Strike and Flame joined him in something of a short-lived musical career. Flame received singing lessons during this time and she and her brothers became reasonably well-known in the region. By the time Flame was 13, the trio had about had enough, though, and Sparky went solo, furthering his career quite significantly. With ups and some downs, Sparky continues to record in the present. Flame enjoyed the attention that came with a musical career and around age 17, she returned to the music scene for a short time, earning herself further recognition in doing so. Although she never became as popular as her brother, those who keep up with the world of music for their region might easily recognize her, whether as Sparky's sister or for her own music.

As a result of many days of school skipped to run off exploring, Flame remained in public school until halfway through 11th grade before her mother finally switched her to homeschooling so that maybe she could at least do enough of her work at home to graduate.

Now, with school out of the way and her small music career giving her some funding, Flame dedicates most of her time to traveling the region and exploring. She often talks of venturing to other continents, but has yet to do so.
