Beginning of a Journey

Once Wolf started to stretch, Reena glanced at him. It wasn't too long after that she, too, stretched her arms out in front of her and sat up straight again. Once done with a long yawn, she looked over at him.
"So, what'd you think?" she asked.

"That seemed fairly silly at points." he replies, "Magic and monsters. The fighting didn't seem too serious either."

Reena smiled. "Well yeah. I guess since you know how to fight and that fighting is fake, you can tell the difference, huh?" she asked.

He nods.

"That I can." he replies, "But I guess they are doing it just for show."

"Yeah. It's just for entertainment," she agreed, "But it's fun to watch and a good way to pass the time, too." She looked outside, taking note that the rain had stopped, but it was a fair bit darker outside now.

"Yeah... it was. But now my head is hurting again..." the wolf says, "I noticed it starting partway through the movie."

"Awww," Reena cooed, setting her laptop aside. She didn't really think about it as she reached up towards his face to rub his forehead with the back of her paw.

Wolf watches as Reena reaches and rubs her paw against his forehead. He then glances towards her, but says nothing.

"We should be arriving at our stop soon," Reena said after a few moments. She lowered her paw back down and took out her phone to check the distance of their remaining trip.
"That movie was an hour and a half long and I figured we only had about two hours left," she said, opening her map to find their location again.

Wolf nods slowly, wincing just a little as he does so.

"Well... I should probably lie down for the time being." he says, "It has helped the last couple of times."

"Yeah, shouldn't be too long before we stop," Reena said, standing up as she continued to look over her map on her phone. She stood there for several moments, rising up onto her toes as she stretched her legs. Finally, she nodded.
"Oh yeah, we're almost there." Her phone was put away again and she started to pick up her computer and its charger cord to move back over to the other side of the cabin.

Wolf watches her as she gathers up her items and moves them off the bench.

"So, are you gonna sit down over there and pass the time?" he asks, as he starts to shift himself up onto the bench so he could lie down again.

"Yeah, I guess so," she replied, "I can do stuff on my computer now since it's already on." She set the laptop down, finally turning off the ending credits of the movie they had just watched, then sitting down on the bench and returning the device to her lap.

Wolf nods to her slowly.

"Alright then." he says, "Wake me when we get there."

He then lies back on the bench and closes his eyes, placing his paws on his midsection.

Reena nodded in return. "I will! But the train whistle might wake you up before I can," she replied.

"Well, I might not actually sleep. But just in case, you know." he says.

"Yeah, I gotcha," she replied, turning her attention to her laptop for now.

Wolf just settles back to rest and hopefully let the discomfort in his head pass again. Then he could turn his thoughts to the new place he was going to end up once their ride on the train came to an end.

A little more than half an hour passed and Reena was content to pass the time on her computer.
Finally, though, the sound of the train whistle blowing could be heard and the train began to noticeably slow down.
Reena's ears perked up and she looked out the window. "Oh, we're slowing down!" she said, "Our stop must be coming up." She closed the laptop and set it aside.

Wolf opens his eyes and glances over towards Reena.

"So... should we start gathering our things up right now?" he asks.

"There's not a huge hurry since it takes trains a loooong time to slow down and stop completely, but I'm gonna go ahead and put away my computer," Reena replied. She stood up, adjusting her balance to the train's decreasing speed, and set about unplugging her laptop and putting the cord and computer back into its sleeve, then back into her travel bag.

"Okay." Wolf says, "I'll just wait here for the time being."

He closes his eyes and turns his face towards the ceiling of the cabin again.

Reena nodded. "That's cool," she replied, "Once we stop, you'll know." She finished putting away her laptop, then closed the travel bag and set it aside on the bench. With her things packed and ready, the Klee Kai sat back down by the window, looking outside ahead of them for the next town or the train station.

The town was approaching fairly quickly. Lights could be seen from the window of their cabin, stretching a short distance away from the station they were approaching. The train gradually began to slow as it made its way through this last part of its journey.

A few minutes later, the train pulls to a stop inside the station itself.

Reena did make mention of being able to see the town ahead and her tail wagged a bit. The train ride had been much longer than she actually expected and she was eager to get off the train and get outside.
Once the train stopped, Reena wasted little time in pulling her boots back on. "Finally! We can get outta this cabin and get some air!" she said to Wolf.
