Beginning of a Journey

"Sounds like just a normal habit," Reena said, smiling a bit. "I think most people stop at night anyway."

"Depending on where you are, you may not see the things around you that you need to be aware of at night cause it's so dark." Wolf says.

"Yup. It can just be more dangerous in doing some things," Reena agreed.

"I guess you only do that when you're confident nothing will happens?" he asks.

"Me, personally?" Reena asked, turning her gaze back to him.

"Yeah. You said you'd go after dark if something interested you." he replies.

"Well, yeah. But nah, danger doesn't really stop me," Reena admitted, "I mean, I'm careful, but being careful doesn't stop me from going out and doing stuff I want. What's living without a little risk, right?"

"Don't know." Wolf replies, "Would it really be that different?"

"It would be boring, probably. If you know everything will be fine and dandy all the time, things could be so predictable," Reena replied, "To me, at least."

"Well... aren't things potentially dangerous enough without doing other things that can make them moreso?" Wolf asks, "There are plenty of natural hazards that can be encountered."

Reena considered this for a couple of moments, adjusting her gaze to look outside at the scenery passing by as the train made its way along. She did note some darker clouds in the sky, but nothing of significant note. The Klee Kai shrugged her shoulders after as she looked at Wolf again.
"Yeah, that's true," she admitted, "But I mean, I'm not gonna let that stop me from going out and doing stuff. I've fallen off or through things and scared myself outta my fur more than once and I always just laugh about it later."

"Oh, okay." Wolf says.

He then turns his gaze back towards the window and resumes looking outside.

Reena smiled slightly.
"Getting into trouble sometimes even gets me a new friend or two once in a while," she added, "That's how I met a couple of my besties. And I clearly met you that way, too."

Wolf glances back at her.

"Hmmm... I guess so." he says, "Although I wouldn't really say you were in 'trouble' when we met. There were easy solutions, even though you found them embarrassing."

"It counts, though," Reena insisted, "Just a little."

"A little." he repeats, "But that was more self imposed than anything else."

"A lot of my trouble is apparently like that," Reena admitted, "I've been told I'm good at jumping into things headfirst."

"So for you the world isn't that dangerous... you just happen to be good at finding it." Wolf says.

"Mmmmyeah," Reena nodded, "You could say that. It can be easy to find trouble while climbing around old, abandoned buildings or wandering off hiking trails in the mountains."

"It certainly sounds like it." he says, "You must enjoy it a lot if you keep doing it."

"Oh, definitely. Wouldn't trade it for anything," the Klee Kai agreed. She grinned after and added, "Maybe you can do some exploring with me one day and see what I mean, huh?"

Wolf's eyes widen slightly, but he then relaxes a few moments later.

"I... don't know about that." he says, "I'm sure there is plenty of trouble out there without me seeking it alongside you."

"It's just an idea," Reena assured him, "It really is a lot of fun. Maybe you'll take me up on it eventually after thinking about it for a while."

"Yeah... I'll consider it." he replies.

He then glances away from her and back to the window.

Reena continued to watch him for several moments afterward. Finally, though, she also averted her gaze to admire the passing greenery outside as well.
