Tiger Tribes

Scattered about the world are various tribes of tigers that exist.  Many of them had exiled themselves away from the world as a way to protect themselves.  Unfortunately due to this, it has also had an untold affect on the species themselves.  Many of the tribes have been decimated or went extinct because of this.  There's only a few known ones left that can be found on the planet while there are claims that some tigers don't live in tribes, example of individuals living outside of a tribe setting.  Truly its been believe by the other mobians that the tigers are a dying species and are more than likely to be extinct within the next 100 to 200 years.

Here I provide several maps of Mobius and Angel Island.


These are the normal maps of Mobius and Angel Island, taken from the Archie Sonic Encyclopedia which I use as a reference for locations.  This is the most recent map and will be updated if and when a new one is added.

Talonrunner Tribe
About the Tribe:
Arzon, the founder of the Talonrunner Tribe was kicked out along with several other tigers after they all start to have weird 'coloring' in their fur and were deemed cursed by the others.  With his group, Arzon settled on land that soon floated to the sky and became Angel Island, isolating them from the other tigers tribes.  Because of this isolation, the tigers in the tribe have all remained mostly white in color.


Also because of the isolation, it also caused disease and mutation within the tribe which has now reduced it to bottlenecking of the genetics cause their number to fall over the years.  This also hasn't help with fearsome attack from the local echidna tribes and the Dark Legion that has made it harsh for survival.  The current Elder, Kaleb has been trying everything in his power to help save the dwindling tribe and has recently been allowing non-tigers to live in the village in order to work with them to come up with a solution.

Population/Status: 35 members, 5 non-tigers (Critical Endangered)
How to Identify Members:  Talonrunner tigers come in various shades of white and cream colors.  These color range from 'stripeless' tigers, white tigers to even the rare 'golden tabby' tigers.  Most individuals are average furred while some even have scruffy/fluffy like fur, this in due to the island's unique climate.  Many members have similar facial and body feature because of the genetics issue within the village itself.

Landrunner Tribe
About the Tribe:
A rather peaceful tribe that settled out in Soumerica, in between the Mystic Ruins and Pais Mysterioso. They focused more on hunting and gathering in general.  It was known that they tend to keep to themselves and really tried to avoid conflict with their neighbors, the Felidae Warriors.


It wasn't until Dorn Sephtis, a villager that was conducting Black Magic experiments on the Felidae that the tribe was attack in retaliation.   The warriors made sure none of the members of the village survived... or so they though.  Dorn and Dante being the only survivors and their land destroyed, both left on their separate ways.  Dorn left to try to improve his magic skills which eventually led to him becoming a demon while Dante left in hopes of finding another tiger tribe to be a part of, hoping to continue his dying bloodline.

Location: Soumerca, located near Mystic Ruins and Pais Mysterioso
Population/Status: 2 members (Considered Extinct)
How to Identify Members: Most of the tribe members are known for the typical orange coloring that their ancestor were naturally born with.  One common trait they have is a rather 'fluffy' coat of fur they have.  Some members are also know for 'ear tufts', a unknown trait of them.  There hasn't been too many records of mutations or diseases that has affected this tribe.

Siku Tribe
About the Tribe:
The Founder Bluefang had traveled the world with his people until they discover the Northern Tundra and decided to settle there as no one would be able to survive in harsh conditions.  It indeed proved difficult for the tribe to survive as many perished as the years went.  It wasn't until local tribes start to trade with them and eventually moving into Siku itself that the tiger flourished.   


It wasn't until roughly 500 years ago that the tribe itself was wiped out in a single night, wiped out by a fellow tribe member Nails Jokull.  Unknown to her that she was controlled by Cyril Sevilen who had forced her to attack her own village as a test and a way to feed on souls.  The village soon after was considered 'abandoned' and travelers warned not to enter as it was claimed to be haunted.


The village remained frozen in time as years went by, skeleton laying about and homes wearing away.  It wasn't until recently that Nails returned several times to the village but ultimate destroy it to keep people from going back to the village ever again.

Elder: Bakula the Seer
Location: Artika/Northern Tundra, located far North in the Eastern section of the tundra
Population/Status: 3 members (Extinct)
How to Identify Members:  Many of the members of this tribe were know to have white to slate colored fur to them.  It was believe that the tribe was mostly filled with 'Maltese Tigers" which are the slate to blue fur individuals.  Their fur is known to be silky and fluffy to a degree to help the better survive the snowy tundra conditions.

Cavejumper Tribe
About the Tribe:
There's not a lot known about this tribe due to the fact of how secretive they are.  What history has told that the founder of the tribe, Radgar, decided to have his tigers live in a secretive lifestyle.  Not much is known about them besides that they are 'cave dwelling' tigers that appear to be nomadic or possibly living underground even.


Several mobians in the Great Forest have claimed to spot some of these tigers during the night when they seem to come out but its impossible to get a 100% confirm sighting.  No one really know how many are there or if they might be dangerous but has created a lot of myth about 'phantom felines' in the forest.

Location: Northamer, located in the Great Forest
Population/Status: ??? (Critical Endangered)
How to Identify Members:  From what other tiger tribes have discovered that this tribe is know for pseudo-melanistic fur coats.  They have very little orange in their fur which is why its hard to spot them when they come out at night.  They also have dull and scruffy fur from what witnesses have described.

The Ancient Tribe
About the Tribe:
The "Ancient" Tribe as its been referred to but the other tiger tribes was one that existed from the earlier prehistoric days of Mobius up until about 10,000 years ago where they went extinct.


Its believe this tribe was the 'master' tribe where individuals from it split off to create the tribes that have existed in the present times.  This tribe was a rather large one that many theorized was actually an entire city of different felines co-existing together.  What is known however that an Elder by the name of Jango who was a Smilodon took control in a coup and attempted to war the other non-feline tribes.  Many individuals fled the and the remaining that stayed were defeat in battle.  Its been assumed that the tribe was wiped out and possibly enslaved which led to its extinction.  Its bloodlines however lived on in the other tribes that were created.

Location: Eurish, present day Central City
Population/Status: (Extinct)
How to Identify Members: Not much is known about the appearance of individuals of this tribe.  All that has been recorded that it included Javan, Caspian, Bali Tigers along with prehistoric felines like Smilodon and many others.  There only art, fossil/remains and some ancient writings that have helped pieced together what the tribe was like.
