An Apocalypse To Remember Empty An Apocalypse To Remember

"He walked out in the Demon light, but at the end he was brighter."

The city shook and the world stood still.
The sun blacked out, Dark leaked from its glass and shook the very core of the earths mantle.
Survival is impossible or so no one has ever tried.
Probably one of the more dramatic days of central.

A black and blue hedge fox ran through the street nearly glad the sun was gone so he wasn't burning to a crisp, but slightly terrified that maybe this was the true apocalypse
The streets turned into a rumble of pure chaos as tiny meteorites would tear into buildings and collapse sewers.

Well lets see.

(Just say if you want to join, your character will be apart of a group that will find a way to reverse the apocalypse List character name species and gender)

An Apocalypse To Remember Empty Re: An Apocalypse To Remember

Post by Nexus Sun Nov 02, 2014 7:09 pm

The beginning of the end.....

Pandor thought of those words as he first noticed the darkening of the skies. The landscape was desolate, many buildings devastated by the earthquakes that followed the great meteor rain, hulls of their former glory. Scorched earth and rubble cracked as Pandor made his way throughout the ghost town of a city, looking for a suitable place to bed for the night. It seemed like ages since his homeland melted from the heat that followed the darkness. No signs of life seemed to exist on his quest to survive.

Pandor found a small convenient store and took a look inside. He noticed that many of the non-perishable items were taken, though a small locked room was untouched. Grabbing a bag, he made his way to the room. Pandor looked on the shelves as he passed them. Nothing of interest, though he did grab some of the rotting fruits and vegetables he did notice. The door had a heavy lock that looked like it took considerable damage, though it wouldn't budge if he tried using brute strength. Reaching into his overlarge quiver, he pulled out a medium sized mace and swung at the lock. It broke almost instantly. The room was stockpiled with all sorts of canned food. Pandor took only what he needed to survive, and a bit more to barter supplies from any others that he may encounter. He made his way out of the store and continued down the road. A few minutes down the road, Pandor found a sturdy enough building that looked like it might have been used for crafting clay molds, for he noticed a kiln inside.
'This may be useful if I can scrounge enough metals to create a shop.' Pandor thought to himself, 'I may be able to create a makeshift forge out of that kiln.'
He walked inside and tool a look around. It was shoddy and he would have to reenforce the structure, but it was stable enough to sleep in for the night. Remembering the locked room at the convenient store, he made his way back to stock his makeshift home.

Leoric ran through the streets looking around for his family. Since the sky darkened while he was away from home he wasn't able to find anyone. He cursed as he looked in the city. Unable to find anyone able to help him search. Being half demon he was at home in the darkness but something about this whole thing sent chills up his spin. "What the hell where is everyone!?"

Ollie was waiting for something to happen. She had gotten herself in someone's old apartment room.It had been mostly ransacked but a few things remained including a ripped up mattress ,a closet filled with clothes and a few shoes, and a compete deck of cards. She didn't know what she was doing in here it was fairly dangerous with the meteors crashing into most of the tall buildings. But she felt safer here than out on the empty streets.
Well not completely empty there was a few survivors like her roaming around not knowing exactly what to do.Ollie had encountered one that wasn't exactly friendly and now bore a knife wound on her chest. It wasn't fatal but it was painful, very painful. Also it made running around pretty much impossible.Ollie had cleaned it up best she could and had wrapped it up in the last of the bandages she had found. But it was most likely going to get infected.
Ollie had been doing nothing but playing cards with herself if that's possible. She was just waiting for someone to find her or for death.Which ever came first...

An Apocalypse To Remember Empty Re: An Apocalypse To Remember

Post by Funkydude527 Tue Nov 04, 2014 7:00 pm

Sully had had a rough day. He was not quite as unfortunate as some of the other inhabitants of Station Square, but then again, nobody in the city was having a good day. Transsonic space boulders tend to do that to a community.
Now this was not his usual afternoon run, but it was still nice to get out and have some fresh air. Well, not exactly fresh. Ozone and ash filled the air, but a stationary position was far less desirable to Sully this afternoon. Especially when his rather well-off apartment complex was the target of a riot.
So there he was, making his way across the roof of another block of apartment buildings, when a sniper shot caused him to hit the deck. Swearing in a language unintelligible, he slowly turned his head and saw the small crater on the radiator behind him. Thankfully, as his head turned back, he saw an escape route. A dart to the fire escape and a lucky missed shot later, Sully was bolting down the metal superstructure.
There was a whistle through the air, and Sully dived through the nearest window. The spot he was just standing in was left warped by the clattering impact of a meteorite. As the fox stopped covering his head and looked up, he saw an Echinda playing cards with herself. He managed a grin and a shaky "H-hello!"

An Apocalypse To Remember Empty Re: An Apocalypse To Remember

Post by -Karma- Wed Nov 05, 2014 6:35 am

*Sorry for late post

Just Great.

Karma ran down the flooded streets of dead bodies, overturned cars and the screaming souls of the people around him pleading for redemption.
While this mattered to him of all people it mattered very little much.
It also played a much bigger role to presume that this was it, the end of the world but unbeknownst to every pawn in play that something bigger was upcoming.

He ran until he could run no more almost halfway across the city, through the garages of indoor parking lots and cracked open streets.
He saw the largest asteroid in the middle of the city, 4 times as tall as the smallest skyscraper with the width of two baseball stadiums.
The only thing he could think of at the moment was survival so he spotted the nearest convenience store and kicked open the 'employees only' back door where he noticed a rushing figure heading towards the exit.
His hand swiftly grabbed the golden revolver that held the most finest finish of the void mark in his holster and pointed it at the polar bear "Don't, move."

An Apocalypse To Remember Empty Re: An Apocalypse To Remember

Post by Nexus Thu Nov 06, 2014 6:27 am

Pandor stood still, grasping tightly to the foodstuffs he was holding. His quiver of weapons were facing the newcomer. A cloth covered sword, a sword cackling with electricity, a fire red colored mace, and an earthy colored shotgun were quite visible from the quiver. Weighing his options, Pandor debated inwardly on whether to fight and possibly get killed, or try to get the newcomers help and survive that much longer. Pandor knew that he didn't want any bloodshed, and certainly not by his hands. He'd never been in any situation quite like this.
"I am Pandor Balruush." Pandor said in a kindly voice, trying to keep calm. "You may share the provisions I have found and occupy the space I have claimed."
Not the greatest of negotiators, Pandor did have a knack for being overly kind to strangers. He could only hope that he would make it out of this confrontation alive.

Leoric heard voices from a nearby convenient store. "Survivors? Maybe they've seen my family" he ran in that direction. Hoping to find his parents and sister.he hoped. So far his luck wasn't the greatest and he know his father wouldn't have left him behind on purpose. Leorik came running as he smashed into the wall. But what he saw wasn't friendly as two people had weapons on them and one had his weapon drawn. On instinct the spikes on his gloves started to charge up with lightning. He was ready to defend himself if need be

Post by Ollie The Echidna Thu Nov 06, 2014 8:56 pm

The echidna turned her head to see who had entered the room.Once upon a time she would have said a cheerful hello and hug the fox being so glad someone had finally come.'But now I know better than to do that' she thought thinking of the wound she now sported."Hello..Are you here to kill and steal or did you just enter this room for shelter?"
She doubted the fox would tell the truth if he really was here to steal but you never know.Turning back to her cards she began to shuffle them awaiting his answer.

Sully blinked. Well this was a bit unproper of him. Still, circumstances warranted a certain degree of plesantry abandonment. Standing up in a bit of a scramble, he dusted himself off. "Just here to get out of the rough weather out there." The apartment trembled as a rock slammed into the side of the building. Sully's ear twitched in its usual nervous tic.

"I uh...." He stammered, and then noticed the injury. "You appear hurt. Need some help, miss?"

He stood there for a moment the line between his eyes and the man he just met unbroken and unwavering and his red bucket filled eyes glowed.
Karma hesitated for a moment and put the gun back in his holster "Right then, we'll team up, but the slightest move and your ass is dead in the water."
He turned around and stretched "So then, names Karma and is it not just a nice day for the apocalypse."

Pandor thought for a moment. He didn't know how to react at his comment about the apocalypse, though it wasn't a good day for it, nor any day.
"You're a strange one." Pandor said absentmindedly.
Pandor reached into his quiver and pulled out the shothun he had within.
"Just a precaution." Pandor said, remembering the gun pointed at him moments earlier. " Follow me, if you want to find out where I am staying." Pandor said calmly. " You may come too." Pandor said in Leoric's direction.

Leoric looked to pandor. Though he remained silent he followed hoping he could question them later about his family. The electricity in his hands dissipated. As he looked to the other being.

(Sorry about that!!D:)
Ollie wondered if the fox really meant to help her.It could be a trick still..She also considered the fact that if she didn't get help for her wound soon she would most likely die. This Sully seemed pretty okay. Also what did she have to lose?Nothing really.Ollie turned back around in the chair to face him"Yes help would be nice.."

Standing up as the building was rocked by another impact, Sully approached Ollie. "Alright..." He looked at the wound. "Alright. Lets see here...." He ripped off the forearm of his sleeve and handed it to Ollie. Searching his pockets, he produced a debit card.

"Alright. Lift up that shirt and lets see that wound." He swallowed. He had to be calm, or else he would panic and stop thinking straight. Best to take this one step at a time.

He looked at the two gentleman before him and the tables had turned.
"Alright then lets g-" He felt something rumble and he turned over. What felt like a massive earthquake had struck the city "Hold up, lets check this out really quick.
He ran outside and skidded to a halt "Oh..my..god.." That was no earthquake,
an asteroid had broken the earths atmosphere and careened towards the city at about the speed a golf ball would travel if it was chucked at 900 meters a second.
The sun hadn't been destroyed, it had been blocked out by something a little bit bigger than the city itself. "Theres no escaping this that thing."
