Diamond in the rough

"Hey get back here!" A cat ran down an alley and down th streets of the city a sack of food in his hands. He panted as he jumpe to the roof. He smiled opening the bag of his spoils. "Finally. Something to eat" he was about to take a bite before  hearing shouts. "You got to be kiddin me" he dashed again across the arrears before bumping into a rat. " hey out of my way lady"

"ha! sorry!."she jumped out of the way before she even spoke,despite the packs and pouches she lugged she moved fast."?..wait no,hey! i wasn't in the way you ran into me! you didn't take anything did you?"she said and checked her pouches one by one.till the smell of food caught her attention."!...? hey you got food~."

"Can't talk gotta run" the cat said dashing with his pack of food on his back. 'Who is that girl?' He thought as he ran towards the slums

"!?..but!..you won't share!? c'mon theres plenty there!"she ran after at a full sprint,but was slow due to the baggage she carried."i'll trade you for some!"she said trying to bargain.

"If you want some keep your mouth shut and run" he said grabbing her turning down and alley and into a building as the police passed by. The cat panted.  "Good their gone"

"!..."she was quiet till after he said they were gone."ow...ya have to grab so roughly?"she said and rubbed where it hurt.some old coins fell out of one of her pouches as she sat on the filthy ground.

Sorry" he said handing her some of the food he snagged. "Here some bread and fruit I snagged." He pulled some out for himself eating. He was starving. He looked to her. "The names Lyle onepeice

she ate and held up a finger when he spoke,either to say be quiet im eating or wait."........"she too was hungry,but not as much as him,despite she looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks with her scrawny and fragile looking body.".....okay,ly li..what ever your name was.thank you for a share."

"It Lyle. And no problem." He said "may I ask your name?" In truth he was curious. This girl got him to share his goods. Ususally he was the greedy type who took all for himself and gave to no one

"Kaylan so says my uncle."she said and licked her fingers of every little crumb."mm~.....right i said i'd trade..didn't i?ya."she said and reached into one of her pouches."hmmmmmmm."

"You don't have to"he said  "i don't need anything from anybody" he said grabbing his bag and walked.

"?..no?...thats find by me! i'd rather keep the ruby than give it!"she said and got up walking the oposite direction,rubbing the ruby on her raggy clothes."my shiny pretty friend in red~."

A fellow thief... Maybe it can work this to my advantage " he whispered thinking to himself. 'That no good Leo won't know what hit him'

she put the gem back and continued to walk."hmmm ben,where did i put him again?.."she said to herself and felt around her pouches and clothing.".....! ah hah!"she said and pulled a flute out from her backpack."ben~."(lonely XD)

Lyle jumped to the roof headed for the lions maw where the traitor lion Leo lucipher lived. He needed to find a way into the maw from the outside. "But how am I suppose to get in

kaylan walked on and held the flute to her mouth and played it during this time."~..."

Just then Leo walked out. "I'll be back soon vi just got to check up on Isis while spirit Is away. You know how she gets"

Lyle looked down watching Leo get on his motorcycle

"ya ya,i know how she gets alright."vi said and stayed inside.

-gasp-"ben! you got a smudge."kaylan said and wiped it away.

Leo chuckled. "Don't start getting jealous" he said starting his bike "I'll be at Cyrus's for galaxy's bday party helpin him get ready after that.see you there?"

Lyle looked confused. "This his girlfriend or something?"

"ya sure,i'm not jealous either,just find it a pain how he's only gone for awhile and she freaks out about it."she explained with a tone.

"Can you blame her after the feasco we had with spirits brother" Leo said. "She's just afraid to lose him"

Lyle took this opertunity to sneak in on the ceiling

"ya maybe but still,i would keep it to myself instead of bothering others about it."she had her arms crossed,as her ear flicked to slight sounds.

"Well it's my fault when I told her if she needed help to call"Leo said. 

Lyle was almost to the vault.

"ya i told you to shut up,but can it wait?"she said and looked to her phone."theres motion near the vault.either it's junior or we have an intruder."she seemed overly calm.

"I told junior to stay in his room" Leo said getting off his bike

Lyle tenced as he suddenly turned invisible
