[CCs] Infiltrating the Space Station

...The ground shook! Almost ridiculously so, like an earthquake was ripping apart the planet beneath you. With a slight shriek, the group were launched out of the erupting volcano on a large rock raft which was forced straight through the top. However, the volcano seemed much larger than anticipated, and was only so due to the fact of illusion. Once reaching a certain point, everyone found themselves inside of a metallic corridor...



This was it.

Sonic looked at Tails and Knuckles, standing by his side, gave them a smirk, and said "It's show time. You guys ready?" He looked ahead into the dark corridors of the space station, still smirking brightly. Eggman's space station. The heart of all of his operations. Time to kick some butt!

Knuckles, looking to Sonic, nodded, willing as usual. Time to kick someone's butt again, it seems.

A robot was on a wall in the first corridor. It was deactivated and battered.

Eggman looked out one his security cameras, and grinned, "Heh...looks like Sonic and friends have arrived....just as planned." He walked over to one of his capsule encasing a robot replica as Sonic: Metal Sonic was its name, one his most prized creations. He entered the pass code, to unlock the capsule. "Ah my prized creation....Sonic is here....you know what to do."

You know who disliked silence? A certain robotic replica of a hedgehog. Hung by wires within that capsule, listening to nothing, moving no mechanical limbs, the constant darkness to cover your artificial vision? It can be pretty maddening. It could drive one insane, the feeling of being so alone, just waiting until your Master demanded your attention.

How unfortunate that a robot cannot be driven insane, or feel emotions. Not yet, anyway. That was another chapter for another story.

So, the capsule hissing open like an eldritch scream was the beginning of releasing Mobius' most deadly mechanical fiends - Metal Sonic. Clang. Clang. Clang. Step after step the blue copycat stepped forth, coming to a halt in front of its Master. A smart move to not let this robot speak, and a foolish move to let him speak in the future. It said nothing, those piercing red eyes staring into the eye sockets of its creator. It was bound to this man, bound until it gained its free will. The ability to feel. Again, that is not this tale.

For now, an explosion of flames erupted from the back of Metal Sonic, and it flew forth, through the iron doors of the base with the intent to kill.

It must obey the orders of its Master, after all.



((Do not reply to Metal Sonic appearing straight away. Eggman is not behind the very first door you come across. Silly people. I'll say when Metal Sonic is getting close.))

With a small smirk, Sonic sprinted forward with his insane speed, breaking the limits, kicking up nothing from the ridiculously clean floor. "Try to keep up~!" He called back, before looking forward to where he was going. ...It was a good thing he did. "WHOAH!" Coming to a skidding halt, he halted just in time to avoid falling into a pit below that seemingly led to large spikes. Eggman's sure been busy...

He peered left and right, noticing a wall of laser - As in, literally JUST laser - And also a few platforms. Yellow and black, and red and black tops. "...What do ya think guys?" He observed the room further, to notice a set of buttons. Maybe that controlled the lasers? He looked to Tails, and then to a gap in the ceiling. "Yo Tails, ya think you can fly up there? I think it's a vent." He slowly pointed to the opening, then to the other side of the laser wall where the same kind of opening was. It would drop you off a few steps away from the control panel.

The echidna followed whatever that sound was and stopped-- that pit was right underneath his feet. He stepped back, looking around for whatever that sound was.

Tails looks at the opening, calculating his plan."Sure can Sonic!" He grins, running and flying up into the opening, and dropping into the other side. He gets the the control panel, and quickly starts hacking it, disabling the lasers."All done!" He grins at his small victory.

Sonic punched the air. "Awright, Tails! Good job buddy!" He jumped across to one of the yellow and black platforms. ...It started moving. "Ah!" He looked up, to realize, there was another platform on the ceiling. It was coming down, with an intent on crushing him. Sonic quickly jumped across to a red and black one, which did it even faster. He started to do stepping stones across the spike pit near enough, and just barely made it to the other side in one piece. "...Phew, talk about a rush..." He looked over to some weird platforms which seemed to rise and fall higher and higher. You'd step on one, and then onto the other, which would take you higher and higher until you reached a platform at the top. "...Hm." The only problem was how fast that the the platforms actually moved.

Dr. Eggman watched Sonic and friends closely on his monitor, a gleam reflecting off of his goggles. "How about i make it more difficult for you...you annoying little pest!" He slammed his hand on a button, releasing robots that was now heading towards Sonic and his friends current location.

Through the steel pathways the mechanical monstrosity flew. And how swiftly it moved! Why, its speed could match that of the blue blur, as it zoomed through the various traps and hallways, not even giving something a second glance, circular red eyes focused on one thing and one thing only - that hedgehog.

Oh it could navigate this area so easily, and it was smart for Master Robotnik to download the map of the space station into its database. Not a single trap was set off as it zoomed through, leaving behind a little trail of fire which evaporated into the air seconds after. Up, down, left, right, so many routes, so many rooms, so many pathways and maze-like areas that if it were organic it would surely have trouble. Then again, if it were organic, it would surely be dead right now.

But it was not, and death would not be the one greeting this robot. Nay, not it, but surely its loathsome copy.

"C'mon guys!" He jumped onto one of the platforms, and offered Tails his hand to assist him up, as it was quite difficult to climb. Also there appeared to be some sort of barrier preventing Tails to fly in this area too. Sonic looked to Knuckles. "Yo, Knuckles! Could ya climb up to the top and see if there's a button that'll stop this crazy thing? I think Eggman's testin' us!"

"Sure thing, Sonic," Knuckles replied, already looking for a way to get up the platform. In the center-- he jumped and climbed up from there. A few minutes later, e found a button at the very top and pressed it. "Got it!" he shouted.

TTails grabs Sonic's hand and pulls himself up."Thanks Sonic He grins."Nice job Knuckles!"Tails grins even bigger.

The platforms seemed to slow down. "Alright... good job Knuckles!" He threw Tails onto his back, and hopped to one, to the other, ascending rapidly. One final leap and he was level with Knuckles. He placed Tails back onto the floor, and continued walking until he came across a room. ...Full of lasers. Except you couldn't fly over them or climb around them. No, you had to sprint under some, jump over others, and hell, even side step. "This looks like fun..." He said, surprisingly meaning it.

The echidna nodded, awaiting what was to come next.

Tails looked around the room, his fox ears flicking to search for something he could possibly use in the future.

"Tails, Knuckles... let me handle this one..." He quickly ran into the laser room and spindashed to avoid a laser from burning him to ashes. He then hopped over the same laser, and slide under a small narrow gap, and homing attacked into one of the laser generators, shutting a single one off, before skidding across the floor with a squeak. He quickly ran again to dodge another laser, before finally launching himself at the button situated at the end of the corridor. He pressed it, disabling the lasers. "Heh, this is too easy!"

(Don't want the topic going dead.)

The echidna nodded, awaiting what were to happen next.

"Alright Sonic!"Tails cheers his older brother on with a grin.

"Go get 'em, Sonic!" the echidna seemed to be cheering the blue blur on.

"Knuckles The Echidna! Come on down!" He had ripped the button stand out of the ground. It looked like a microphone. Obviously the joke was that he was doing the Price is Right. "Miles Prower! Come on down!" He also chanted, before throwing the bar down. The laser room was out of service, so there was no obstacle at all. ...But the sound of whirring was faint. "...Hm?" The hedgehog looked left and right briefly.

The echidna had climbed down to the ground, but he seemed to hear... whirring. Where was it coming from? He looked left and right to see where the sound was coming from.

Tails luaghs at Sonic's joke before following Knuckles, and he too started looking for the source of the whirring.
