Piperi the Echidna
Not too sure how much I'll use her, but I thought it'd be good to make a bio for her as well.
History's a bit long and a little more dramatic... hope that's alright! (edit; tweaked some sections, and toned down comparisons to her son for clarity
Name: Piperi the Echidna
Nicknames: Piper, Peppermint
Age: 42
Species: Echidna
Gender: Female
Occupation: Elite Kunoichi
Appearance: 4'11" baby blue-colored echidna, with short spines styled into a sort of flip hairdo. Wears a gray sleeveless blouse-adjacent top that's layered over itself to create a pocket, coupled with a pink sports bra underneath. Wears brown thigh-length cargo shorts with large pink bags attached in place of traditional pockets, and has a black belt with a dark pink buckle. Puffy, grey guards are fixed on her arms, and smoother, flexible crimson-colored guards cover her legs from lower thigh to ankle. Off-white shoes with red arrow designs serve as her footwear, and like her son, she sports black fingerless gloves. Finally, she has a red scarf, with "碧玉" (hekigyoku/Jasper) written in white on the front. She has yellow eyes.

Dislikes:
- Thinking about her husband (he went missing some number of years ago, and the thought hurts)
- Her son taking on dangerous missions
- Threats to her town's integrity

- Anything too salty
- Having to be away from Mint so often
- People asking her age
Personality:
She's typically cool, collected, and respectful. She'll show joy of course, but in a more professional, suppressed way. However, things are a little different in battle. While rarely getting ahead of herself or getting too prideful, she'll snark at the enemy if she's winning, and taunt them as well. When she's losing, she makes sure to not give the enemy the satisfaction of seeing her upset, and will throw out insults in an attempt to make them think less clearly.
She can be stern at times, and has an unintentional tendency to treat her son Mint as though he was still an inexperienced kid, a fault that can be attributed to her being away frequently and not getting to see what kind of skill level he's at. If her son is in great danger, she'll shut down and go into a silent, tranquil rage, stopping at nothing until her baby is safe. If unable to do so, her son's safety takes over her mind and she'll enter a somewhat-suppressed panic.
The only person she'll act truly motherly towards is her own son.
Combat traits
Powers: Like her son Mint, her powers work around changing the temperature of particles around her. However, having honed them for a little over 25 years, she is much more experienced in using them, and has developed new abilities using them. If she concentrates, she can form small glaciers out of moisture in the air (with enough focus), cool down hot rooms, and even manipulate the ice she's made to be practically weightless in her hands. The power she's most proud of developing, though, would be what she calls Freezing Flames. With enough focus, she's able to make fireballs that freeze instead of burn. She's also capable of gliding, running at 150 mph, jumping up to 40 feet in the air, and is able to form ice knuckles to climb walls.
She's a very skilled martial artist on top of that, and is a jack-of-all-trades with weapons (though has not mastered any of them). She's also able to turn invisible, and produce the illusion of a clone. Finally, while not as strong as Knuckles, she's fairly strong herself, a strength she mostly applies to holding her oversized weapons.
Gear: No one's sure how she even fits them in there (not even the factory that makes them,) but she keeps a few large shuriken in her bags, an obscene supply of kunai, large uchiwa that she uses in conjunction with her powers, and at least one small blade.
Strengths:
- Her powers are considerably developed, and she's trained in offensive applications of them.
- Very acrobatic, she's excellent at evasion.
- Has developed martial arts, making her a considerable threat, even if she can't use her powers
- Above average reflexes.
- Above average flexibility
- Handles high temperatures well, up to 150 degrees Fahrenheit before they start to falter, and it's hard to make her truly uncomfortable or incapacitated with high heat.
- Near perfect invisibility; Very hard to detect while moving, even in daylight.
Weaknesses:
- While much faster than the average echidna, her speed still would pale in comparison to other Mobians, especially Sonic.
- Even though she won't falter in hot temperatures as easily as her son, her powers still do disappear in lava-ridden areas or wildly burning places.
- Electricity can also leave her unable to use her powers for some time
- Her lack of mastery with any weapon means she'll be caught in a rut if she's unable to fight hand-to-hand.
- While her basic skills don't exhaust her, her more extravagant, developed abilities can. Depending on how bad she overuses them, she can be knocked out or left without any of her powers for days.
- Her ice knuckles don't work quite that well in hotter weather, and sometimes they can accidentally break.
- When she goes into an endangered-son induced rage, common sense and any prior planning takes a backseat, resulting in her doing things that typically injure her.
- If she's unable to save her son for too long, or knows he's in danger and is too far away to do anything, she'll start panicking about her son until he's okay or is otherwise calmed down.
- Could do better with regards to mental resilience; while personal attacks typically won't do anything, threaten her son (and give her reason to believe it's not a bluff), hit a specific insecurity in the right way, or bring up her husband's disappearance (typically when she's nearing her limit), and she'll immediately shift gears, becoming easier to fight.
- Her not being a big presence in her son's life comes with its own set of problems:
- While she means well, she underestimates her son's abilities, not truly knowing just how capable he is, which can cause tension.
- Her husband's disappearance has caused her so much turmoil that it will lead to her holding her son back from things he can handle, which stresses the both of them out.
- She has virtually no idea what her son's fighting style is, meaning that teamwork between the two of them in a fight would be messy.
- Getting her to accept help is not easy. It's not so much out of pride as it is some bizarre form of atonement for retiring so early in the past.
- She can only make one double at a time, and they're not really good for helping out in fights.

History
Born in Toadleaf, Piperi was practically destined to become a kunoichi. Beginning her training in her mid teens, she became part of the main force before she was old enough to drink. During a mission to help an allied village's own ninja, she met the man who would become her future husband. The two got married when she was 20, and began discussing the possibility of having a child a year later. While she was doing great as a kunoichi, she ultimately chose to retire after a horrible fight broke out between villages, resulting in one of her best friend's death.
While a peace treaty was signed shortly after, it made Piperi uncomfortable with the notion of raising a child in the kind of world she lived in. So, she and her husband retired and went to live on an island not too far from Seaside Hill. They were overjoyed when she became pregnant, but the week before Mint's birth, her husband disappeared in the night. After giving birth to Mint, she made sure he lived in happiness and peace until his first birthday. The day after, she woke up to a letter beside her from her former leader, telling her that they knew her husband went missing, and that per his request, they return to Toadleaf for their own safety. Knowing she had some enemies, she quickly returned, joined the force again, and left her baby in the care of her ninja alliance. She periodically takes off with a sizeable squad to go search for her husband.
Shortly before her son's 16th birthday, she learned about Dr. Eggman, and told her son (and the village) about him.

Re: Piperi the Echidna
Also quite a nice character! Though, I'd suggest giving her less comparisons to her son, just so nobody would have to look at Mint's sheet to figure out hers, y'know?

Re: Piperi the Echidna
Got it! Made some tweaks just now to address that and a couple other things that bothered me.
