Dance with the Devil

It was a disclaimer that said that in no circumstance should the book substitute a textbook or any other source of education. That being said, the author hoped the readers would, nevertheless, learn something in a simple and light-hearted way.

The raven jumped up her arm and buried its head in her fur.

"No, I didn't kill her," Lee explained. "I actually helped her get back on her little, furry paws. Nine tails, too."

"it says it shouldn't be used for learning" willow smiled. "Well you can stay if you like" she got up and started walking. "You turned her back into a kitsune?!??"

"Not as a book you'd use in school, but you can still learn from it."

More ravens were seen on the trees as she went by. The one she carried flew away from her and the others flew after it.

"I did. Why?"

"oh. " Wendigo turned the page. "Hey knock it off!!" Willow used her illusion to make the bird look like a dragon to scare of the other Ravens. "I don't know why"

The second actually described what the XXX in the book meant, hopefully in a way Wendigo understood.

After a while, the ravens came back, now in a triangular formation, with the one she made look like a dragon in the lead. It croaked loudly and all of them broke said formation, some going in with a beak, whilst others went with the claws.

"I can always bring her back, if you want..."

"oh so that's what it is? Odd..
" Willow sighed. "These birds are too smart to be birds..." Willow started shooting at the birds. "Na it's okay...I'll manage.."

"Keep reading."

Each time she shot one of them, the wounded bird crash-landed, but not before something small, blue and cloudlike flew out of it.

Well, that was a relief. "Could you tell them to split it equally?" Lee told her. "I'd tell them myself, but they're scared of me."

Wendigo kept reading. "Hmmthats not supposed to be visible.." "oh okay"

"Well, what do you think? Did that clear up anything?"

When all of the birds were knocked out, a voice taunted her. "You're no fun."

Lee smiled with her eyes closed. "Would you like some tea?"

"Yeah it does..." "Well maybe next time you should make it cleaar you're not trying to kill me" willow said as she started walking. "Yes some tea would be nice ."

The next page covered the same topic, just with the other gender.

The blue cloud reformed and revealed itself to be a wisp. "Don't you have nine lives? Or was it tails or cats.."

Lee quickly prepared some with her magic and placed a mug in front of Lillith. "Careful, it's hot."

"Hmmm...so both of us are different. ..i thought we all had the same dtuff" "cats have nine lives. I have nine tails." Lillith blowed the tea to cool it down. Then she dranj some.

"Well, now you know."

The wisp followed her. "I wouldn't have killed you."

The tea tasted like candy. "Do you like it?"

"yep..This helps..." "I know but I wasn't in the mood to deal with birds today" "it's tastes sweet and nice"

"So, uh, you hungry? I can bring in some snacks."

There were just empty houses. They looked as if they were abandoned a long, long time ago. "Next time, it can be wolves. Not many kitsune come here..."

"I'm glad you like it," Lee smiled. "It's really hard to guess correctly what someone likes on the first try." It wasn't actually hard since she was a telepath, but she wanted to seem humble.

"yeah I'm real hungry. " "Where did the kitsune go?" "You made it so nice"

With a flick of his fingers, he created a mirror image and had it fetch snacks. "For the last time, we need to talk," it said when it came back. "We are not just some sla-" And with another flick, he sent it away.

"Most of them ran, some dug deep to hide," the Wisp explained as it ventured into one of houses. "There were so many..." The walls and floor were covered in scratch marks, arrows, bolts.

"Do you think you could come visit more often," she said as took a sip. "I very much enjoy your company."

'you should let the other you finish. It looked like it was going to say something important" "what did they all leave from? What happened?" "But I haven't done anything cool...Heh..Yet" lillith flapped her wings and tried to fly only to make it a couple feet and fall.

Legion sighed and created it again. "As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," the other him said. "We are not your personal slave army."

"But you are my personal slave army," Legion said. "You only exist because I permit you."

"Don't we deserve at least some respect?" Legion shrugged

The wisp found the withering remains of whoever lived there. "Hunters..."

"Well, it's not every day I get to meet with a demon," Lee told her. "And with the few that I did met, you're probably the most adorable."

"you should be nicer to the other yous" "where are the hunters now?" "You think I'm cute?"

"I suppose so."

"We have been steadily decreasing our performance," the mirror image admitted, making Legion furrow his brows. "And we will continue to do so until your meet our demands."

"You know you can't disobey me, right?" 

"Don't bother," the wisp told her. "They're gone, been for decades. They didn't stop at kitsunes."

"Well, yeah," Lee admitted and lowered her voice. "Actually a lot more cute than the people I usually deal with."

"what are your demands" Wendigo smiled. "I...What else did they hunt?" "Who do you usually deal with?"

The mirror image crossed its arms. "Legion has been using us as his maids for years; we deserve better."

"you do know I get tired too, right?"

"Wisps, nymphs, dryads, treants, elementals..." The wisp stopped listing. "Everything that lived here and was by any means magical."

"Voidlings," Lee answered. "I thought that was obvious."

"Awww maybe you guys should have some breaks to chill." "I..Can't believe this"* "oh yeah"

Legion sat down on the bed and sigh. "Fine, I'll use you less. Is that fine?"

"No! nonono," the mirror image yelped. "We want to be let out and we want to serve you." Legion looked very annoyed; he wanted to end this with a flick of his hand.

"I can lead you to your kin, if you so choose," the wisp told her. "But alas, I cannot follow you in."

Lee's smiled steadily disappeared and was replaced with worry, as she looked down.
