Haunted & Hunted

I've been gone for quite some time and I though, why not have another RP? Not sure where I'll take this one, but I do plan it to be about more than just exploraring the above-mentioned house.

Well I mean, care to establish what you have so far? Always up for a more horror (or at least, horror-aesthetic) RPs. It sounds from your post you're thinking 'Haunted House' dealio, any more to it?

On one of your travels, you come upon a desperate and wealthy hawk who offers you a lot of money for making his property free of ghosts and spirits. He's a bit skimpy on the details and a bit superstitious, but through some slips of the tongue, all of this seemed to happen right after his own niece accidentally took her own life by falling down a flight of stairs. Her room and belongings were left intact, as no one dared to even cover the furniture up with blankets.

What were the others so scared of?

Lights that flicker, whispers that come from the walls, cold, pained breathing from behind one's shoulders and rooms that are never the same.

So... The RPers are Ghostbusters, of sorts?

Kinda. Just without proper equipment.

So, does any of this sound interesting enough to be a RP?

I think we'll need a bit more detail. I certainly do.

Not sure how much details I wanna reveal without spoiling anything. Is there anything specific you'd like to know?

Is this house lonely? Is it near a town? A village?

The house is located in the outskirts of a large city, far away from the preying eyes of the everyday folk. Built three centuries ago by the same family that inhabited it.

It's latest denizens, an uncle and a niece, were brought together by tragedy, as both of their immediate families were killed in various accidents. Since she was the only family he had left, he's offering a large sum to anyone who finds out how and why she died. The whole haunted house business is secondary to him.

Sounds like a nice RP idea to me.

I'm warming up to it. The timing seems good as well, what with the recent release of the Ghostbusters reboot (even though I think it would've been better if they released it at Halloween but ehhhhh)
